“Sandy and Minnie put my concerns and needs first and really took the stress out of leaving my puppy for a few days. She will always be my first choice to call on!”

“Charles was a fantastic sitter for my dog Carter during our weekend trip to Waveland, MS. He kept us updated with photos throughout the stay, which gave us peace of mind. Carter got plenty of fresh air with daily walks through Charles’ wooded neighborhood and even a fun outing to the local farmers market. We’ll definitely be booking with Charles again if we come to town.”

About: Pets (and working animals) have always been in my life. Currently I do have dogs of my own and always have. Moved to the city and sure do miss my goats, chickens and most of all my potbellies that couldn't come 😭 My father was an animal scientist and I've been around animals of all sorts since the day I was born. I'm a stay at home mom with my youngest at 11 years old. My entire day is free! If I'm not caring or playing with a four legged friend or two webbed feet I'm not having fun! Safety for your pet is most important. Playtime would be wherever you request whether it be your own backyard, walked on a leash, dog park or inside playtime. Your pet will be treated with the utmost care with lots of fun with the safety of him/her always in mind.
“Just unbelievably amazing. I had to get my puppy to a place one night in an emergency and she helped on the spot. even now, i’m in a very tough and stressful situation regarding being in the military and she opened her heart and arms out to me and my pup. she’s very understanding, very thoughtful, loving, and a great caretaker of pets. i know my puppy has been happy with her, she’s consistent with updates and great with communication. she’s the best boarder i could every ask for, really, a lifesaver; a miracle. i didn’t get paid to write this either, she really just helped me out in a hard situation and did more than the service asked. i’d recommend her 100% 💗💗”

“Pamela goes above and beyond, my pups love her! She has great communication and always keeps us updated through messages and daily photos. We are so grateful for her attentiveness and care and for Pamela being so accommodating for a last minute request. We look forward to our pups next visit with her 🐾”

“Adele was super sweet and so flexible with us! My baby was so happy and comfortable with her. She was incredibly kind, calm, and caring, and she even made her the sweetest little care package. It was such a thoughtful touch! I felt completely at ease leaving her with Adele and would absolutely book with her again!”

“Claudia and family were great, I have a dog that needs a bit of extra attention and they kept me updated daily with pictures. My dog seemed so content with staying or leaving that I’ll definitely be using them in the future. Thank you again so much!”

“Brittany watched my pup for two weeks while I was out of the country. She was patient with me and sent me many pics and videos to help a nervous Furmom stay calm. Naturally, my pup was excited to see me when I returned, but I could tell she was very comfortable in her surroundings at Brittany’s home. This was our first visit, but certainly not the last. I am very grateful for Brittany and her family.”

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Kiln home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
