“Charles was a fantastic sitter for my dog Carter during our weekend trip to Waveland, MS. He kept us updated with photos throughout the stay, which gave us peace of mind. Carter got plenty of fresh air with daily walks through Charles’ wooded neighborhood and even a fun outing to the local farmers market. We’ll definitely be booking with Charles again if we come to town.”

“Sandy and Minnie put my concerns and needs first and really took the stress out of leaving my puppy for a few days. She will always be my first choice to call on!”

“Kristin was amazing! She kept our dogs for our wedding and it was so nice to not have to worry about them being taken care of! She took them swimming and on walks and gave them lots of love! Thank you Kristin!”

“Scott was great! Very quick with communicating, took great care of my pups, and kept me informed about any and everything. He also took photos of my dogs while they were on their walks, which was so nice to see! Will definitely rebook with Scott in the future.”

“My puppy was well taken care of. I was nervous about leaving my baby alone for the first time because she has a couple quirks but Lynsi made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Would most definitely book again!”

“Cierra was awesome - very quick to respond to the request for booking, even though it was very "last minute". She was very friendly and professional and obviously took very good care of our dog while we were away. Cierra kept us updated frequently on our dog throughout the weekend with texts and photos. She was also very flexible with the scheduling. Overall, we HIGHLY recommend Cierra D. and will be calling on her again in the future!!”
“Lexie takes such great care of my dog and cat! My dog has become more anxious in her old age and Lexie is so patient and made me feel reassured when boarding them at her house while I was out of town. She also goes above and beyond when doing stop in visits while I’m at work. Highly recommend!”

“Wonderful over all experience! Sierra had excellent communication with me the entire time. She kept me informed on how Max was doing throughout the day and sent lots of pictures.”

About: Pets (and working animals) have always been in my life. Currently I do have dogs of my own and always have. Moved to the city and sure do miss my goats, chickens and most of all my potbellies that couldn't come 😭 My father was an animal scientist and I've been around animals of all sorts since the day I was born. I'm a stay at home mom with my youngest at 11 years old. My entire day is free! If I'm not caring or playing with a four legged friend or two webbed feet I'm not having fun! Safety for your pet is most important. Playtime would be wherever you request whether it be your own backyard, walked on a leash, dog park or inside playtime. Your pet will be treated with the utmost care with lots of fun with the safety of him/her always in mind.

“Dannah is the best! My little Rico loves her and was very comfortable in her home and yard. During Rico's stay, Hurricane Ida hit the coast and I was in Minnesota with no way to get home in time. Dannah kept me updated and assured me Rico was safe in her care. She had to evacuate but made sure all the dogs were safe and secure.”

“Pamela has taken care of Sebastian three times and he has been happy as a clam whenever we pick him up. She is great! Sebastian is a senior dog with medication and needs extra attention so to have someone that has the patience for him is very comforting. We really appreciate her. We will be booking with Pamela until we leave Gulfport!”

“The most caring and considerate dog sitter I've experienced. My dog needs special attention during storms, and Lindsay is the only person I trust. I cannot review highly enough. She goes above and beyond to make my dog comfortable.”

“Sarah was great at watching our two dogs over Christmas, even our large one with anxiety. She also didn't have a problem keeping them on such short notice. Definitely recommend.”

About: I also have a 4 year old cat who is my whole world. I love all kinds of animals. I am also very patient with animals and people. I will work in any weather and I can not wait to meet your perfect little pet! I’m currently on summer break from teaching full time. I am home all day and I can’t wait to care for your amazing fur baby! I love to play with pets and go for walks. I love pet snuggles and walking. Although I do not offer services at my home, I would love to come to your house and offer the same services.
“Robin is my normal petsitter for my fur baby. Repeat customers say a lot about a pet sitter. Our pets are our babies and we want to be able to trust someone to know they are getting great care and being loved. Robin does that. She loves every dog as if they were her own. She sends pictures every morning and tells you how you're pet is doing and she will also tell you if she's having any issues or questions or concern regarding your pit. Robin is a very good communicator and goes the extra mile for her clients.”

“KADIE IS INCREDIBLEEEEEEEE!!!!! We just recently moved to Tampa in the last few months and already had a terrible experience with a new sitter so we did our due diligence for this one and it was very well worth it! She sent amazing photos every single day (some that I honestly want to frame) of all three babies, asked great questions to make sure she had the care instructions correct, made sure to accommodate the comfort of our cat. We will be coming back again and again for trip after trip as long as she'll have us. Thanks so much, Kadie! Figgy is counting down the days until next time, I'm sure. lol”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
