“My flight got cancelled and rescheduled due to the sudden snow storm recently and I was scrambling to find someone to watch my puppy. Kathryn accepted this last minute request and I couldn’t be any more appreciative. I was out of the country and unfortunately had some communication difficulties but she was patient and provided the care my dog needed. Really enjoyed seeing the photos of my pup she would send every time!”

“Glenna confirmed the booking on short notice and kept me posted every step of the way on her visit. Slugger has a lot of energy but she knows how to navigate it and keep him on track while on his walks. I know he’s always in good hands when Glenna comes to check him.”

“Morgan was great with our dog, Buddy. She stopped by for a meet-and-greet before we left for our trip. While we were away, she gave him his meds, meals, and snacks, he got outside time, and she gave him lots of snuggles. He even got to stay in his own home, which helps him not to be too stressed while we are away. Thanks Morgan!”

“Mandy was fantastic! She had a great connection with our pup Indie. She took lots of adorable photos and provided updates that gave us peace of mind while we were out. We will absolutely be booking her again in the future! ?”

“Teresa took excellent care of my three cats! I am pleased with the daily check-in notice, summary, and photos of the cats. All went smoothly when I was out for the weekend! Thank you, Teresa!”

About: I have always had dogs growing up, and took a leading role in training/retraining both puppies and older rescues. My family fostered Boston Terriers through NEBTR, where I gained experience caring for older dogs, as well as dogs with a high level of medical needs (medications, physical therapy, etc.) I love furry friends of all shapes and sizes, but I cannot own one at this stage in my life due to a stipulation in my lease. I would love to be connected with some amazing animals, in and around the kennett area! Outdoor walks are one of my favorite hobbies, and I would love some company! I work in food service, so my hours are quite different from most! I am available most days after 2pm, into the evening. I do not have much morning availability, as I usually start my shifts around 6am. I am free all day Wednesdays. I enjoy walking in the green spaces of Kennett, away from traffic and heavily populated streets. I house sat for many family friends, and I always operate under the principle of leaving a space better than I found it!
“Thank you Courtney for helping us out last minute so we could enjoy some family time at great wolf lodge. I’m sure Beau loved the belly rubs, walks and treats. You were so trustworthy and kind. We’ll definitely be reaching out for our future dog visit/walking & cat sitting needs. Thank you again!”

“Amazing!! Took care of Tex well beyond what was expected and really enjoyed the pic and video updates. Was very responsive and so kind. Highly recommend if you don’t want to be worried if your pup is getting the care and attention they deserve.”

About: Since I was little I’ve taken care of not only my own dog, but also but friends’, families’, and neighbors’! I also have experience with senior dogs (my own dog) and puppies!! I’m currently working a part time job only twice a week so I have plenty of availability throughout the week and can do all services almost everyday before 4 or 5 pm! I’m very well experienced with electric fences as I have one in my own yard. I am also experienced with crating, walking, and niche feeding habits - and can follow specific instructions for special pups!

About: I've grown up with large dogs, cats, and chickens my entire life. I started dog sitting in high school for friends and family, which inspired me to pursue veterinary science. While applying to vet schools, I always love to take care of your critters and remind myself who I'm doing it for! I'm currently applying to veterinary school and freelance shadowing at different clinics in the area, so I'll have lots of time to entertain your pets! Because of this, my availability varies week-to-week, so please check my calendar. In addition to my fair share of scratches and bites growing up, working in wild animal rehabilitation has made me confident with strong, harder-to-handle animals, and I'm confident I can keep your dogs and cats entertained when they get a little hyper, and I can calm them down when it's time for a nap!
About: I am a dedicated and experienced animal care provider with a strong background in both personal pet ownership and professional veterinary support. Having cared for my own animals over the years, I understand the importance of patience, attention, and compassion when it comes to their well-being. In addition, my experience working in a veterinary hospital has given me valuable hands-on knowledge in animal health, behavior, and safety. This combination allows me to provide reliable, attentive, and informed care, ensuring that every pet I watch is treated with the same level of love and responsibility as my own. I’m not just an animal lover, but I also love and adore kids which is where I spend my days working in a therapy clinic for kids Monday through Friday from 8-4. I’m available before 8 on weekdays and after 4 on weekdays. On Saturdays and Sundays I’m available anytime of the day. I am committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and trustworthy environment for every animal in my care. I prioritize following each pet’s routine, dietary needs, and any medical instructions to ensure their health and comfort at all times. My experience in a veterinary setting has equipped me to recognize signs of stress or illness early and respond appropriately. I maintain a clean, hazard-free space, use secure handling practices, and provide constant supervision to prevent accidents. Open communication with pet owners is also a top priority, offering regular updates for peace of mind. My goal is to create a calm, reliable, and nurturing environment where pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
“This is my first time using Rover and I think I found the right person! I was worried at first but Lili was awesome and my dog liked her. Lili sent me all the update during her visit and I was greatly appreciated :)”

“Matthew provided excellent care for our two cats. He posted daily photos, which I greatly looked forward to each day while on vacation. He has excellent communication skills, and I know my cats will miss him! I would definitely recommend his services to any other cat owner that is looking for a cat sitter!”

“We can’t say enough amazing things about Carly! She took fantastic care of our German Shepherd, Ruby, while we were away. Ruby can be a bit hesitant with new people, but Carly was incredibly patient, gentle, and kind. She took the time to build trust, and it wasn’t long before Ruby completely warmed up to her. Carly made sure Ruby was well-fed, sticking closely to her routine, and always kept us updated so we knew she was in great hands. She even cleaned up a little oopsy accident in the house without hesitation, handling it with total grace and compassion. What touched us most was how affectionate and loving she was with Ruby, sharing cuddles, giving her attention, and making sure she felt safe and cared for the entire time. It was clear Ruby was not just looked after, but loved. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup, and we are beyond grateful. Carly is a true gem, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a warm, reliable, and truly exceptional sitter. Thank you, Carly! 🐾💛”

About: With over 10 years of pet-sitting experience and a lifetime of caring for animals, I bring reliability, attentiveness, and plenty of love to every pet I care for. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, playtime, or cuddles, I treat every pet like they’re my own and strive to provide peace of mind while you’re away. I work full-time, with one day each week working from home, which gives me flexibility for daytime walks, drop-in visits, and check-ins. On the days I’m in the office, I’m available before and after work for walks, feeding, playtime, and overnight care. I also have weekend availability and can accommodate a variety of schedules. I love staying active and spending time with animals, so providing dependable, loving care is something I genuinely enjoy. I treat every client’s home with the same care and respect I would my own. I understand the anxiety that can come with leaving your pet and home while traveling, so I make it a priority to follow routines closely, keep your space clean, and provide regular updates for peace of mind. When caring for pets in my own home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment tailored to their individual needs. Whether your pet loves playtime, long walks, or simply relaxing, I work to make sure they feel secure, happy, and right at home while in my care.

About: I’ve had hands-on experience caring for pets for years, including raising my own dog since he was a puppy. I’m very involved in his daily care, including feeding, walks, routines, giving lots of attention, and helping manage medical needs when needed. Because of this, I understand how important patience, consistency, and trust are when caring for someone’s pet. I’m also very comfortable with cats and enjoy spending time with different personalities, whether they’re playful, shy, energetic, or need extra comfort and care. I’ll always treat pets like family and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I recently graduated high school and will be starting college soon, so I have a very open and flexible schedule this summer! I do work part-time, but outside of my work schedule I’m available most days and have plenty of time to give pets attention, playtime, walks, and companionship. Since I don’t have many major summer plans, I’m happy to be flexible and work around your pet’s needs and routine. Since I will be caring for pets in their own home, my goal is to help them feel as comfortable, safe, and stress-free as possible by sticking to their normal routine. I’m very attentive to instructions and will make sure your pet gets the care, attention, exercise, feeding, potty breaks, and affection they need while you’re away. I also have hands-on experience with crate training through my own dog, who is crate trained and comfortably sleeps in his crate when prompted. I understand the importance of patience, routine, and making pets feel secure in their environment. I will always treat your home and pets with respect and care as if they were my own.

Teresa is the nicest, kindest, most reliable sitter you can find. She is more than capable of handling our cat’s medical needs and reliably gave him his daily medication. We had peace while we were away knowing he was in great hands. I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation. We are very grateful for her kindness.

Maddie is so attentive and loving to our boy cats whenever we are away. It is nice to be able to go away and not worry about our boys- Maddie is right on time, so helpful, and always lets us know in detail how our boys were and how the visit went. We are so grateful to have found Maddie!

Alaina was suggested to me by a colleague, and my first experience with Rover, and she was great! Her care and consideration for my cat and home were much appreciated, and she was responsive and friendly in all our correspondence. I highly recommend her services!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
