About: I have loved cat and dogs since I was 5, I have taken care of them since I was about 6. I love animals and want to make sure that they feel loved and safe when I am with them. Though I am a full time student in college, I am able to take care of animals as often as needed. Your fur baby is my priority. I have 3 cats in my home. One is very child-like (loves to be held like an infant), another wants you to play toss-the-toy as often as possible, and another is food-obsessed. All are indoors. I give them all love when they ask for it. They are fed twice a day. Litter boxes are changed every other day. I used to have a pupper, but she passed away back in 2020. I fed her special cancer-fighting foods (safe for dogs) daily, took her on walks/daily outings, provided lots of fetch/toy time, and maintained daily fur/skin care routines. Your baby is safe with me; they will be well-loved and looked after!
“Kortni is the best pet sitter I could’ve asked for! Her clear love for animals shines through when you see her interact with your pet. My cat is usually very shy, but not towards her! Instant friends upon meeting. For any of my pet needs in the future, I will be booking with Kortni! :)”

“Veronica is very communicative and clearly loves taking care of the animals she's watching. We were very happy to find someone not only great with out kitties, but also knowlegeable about aquariums.”

“Joyce was very kind and attentive to our needs when it came to Pickles. I felt right at ease having her drop in and check on our cat! I will definitely be booking with her for future needs!”

“Hannah is amazing! She is thorough and follows detailed instructions carefully, reaches out with questions and is kind and patient with our cats including our little old lady who seems to have forgotten how to use a litterbox. We feel confident that everyone will get their medications and special foods, and the cats really like her too.”
About: It is important to me that your dog's individual needs and routines are met while in my care. I do my very best to meet their feeding, sleeping, and other environmental needs and preferances while they are here. I also want to honor rules and commands followed in your household. It's important to be consistent with training wherever you are. I can give lots of potty breaks and outside time during the day as I'm home a lot. I have 2 school-aged children and a toddler. Besides school drop off and pick ups, my day typically is spent at home which means I. can give dogs plenty of potty breaks and outside time. I will typically care for up to 2 dogs at one time for both boarding and doggy day care. We have a 6 year old indoor cat and 2 dogs. Our dogs are 6 year old Lab Lucy (f) and 7 year old corgi Beau (m). When the dogs are outside, they are supervised at all times and if needed, are tethered to a 50ft long lead so that they can freely explore without getting too far. In the house, I have a designated dog room where I keep food/water and kennels for those who use one. This way they can get outside to go potty whenever they need and when I may not be around. I don't like leaving my own pets longer than a few hours so I don't intend to do the same with yours!
“Kris was amazing in taking care of my cats while we were gone! I can’t say how much i appreciate that they’re loved and cared for when we aren’t there. 10/10 definitely recommend, and will use next time we’re away!”

“Zander took great care of my kitties while I was away. I especially appreciated his updates about their behavior and eating habits, along with the photos he sent each visit. Zander seems to really understand cats and I will be booking him again!”

About: I grew up on a rural farm, so animal care is no stranger to me! I was also an active participant in 4-H and FFA. I love caring for peoples' fur babies. I have several references as well. I just moved to Kelso and I am staying with family. I'd love to spend time caring for animals and enjoying them. I currently dont have a day job as I just moved, so I have a lot of free time! I am great at following care plans and am very deta oriented. Your animals are safe and sound with me! I frequently am told that I give the animals around me TOO much love.

About: I have had pets all my life; dogs, cats and many others as well! I am a lover of all pets and I am well versed in caring for them as well! I have owned and raised all ages of dogs and cats since I was young, so I am very comfortable with all ages, sizes, and species! I am an incoming college student currently on summer break with early morning practices so the entire rest of my days are primarily open and free to help take care of your furry friends! Daily, I have my own animals to take care of, but I am here to help and offer some assistance in making sure your pets are safe and getting all the care you want them to have. I am very respectful of the safety precautions and environment that you would want for your pets, I find it very important to understand and uniquely cater to the needs of your furry, scaley, or feathery friends. Just like us all pets are different and I will happily take on the responsibility to carefully and safely watch over, take care of, and play with your beloved pets. I would love to hear any specific instructions or suggestions for your pets so I can ensure I am providing all that they need, I can use my own knowledge, but ultimately you know your loved ones best!

About: I currently do not have any pets so I would love to care for yours! I grew up with all types of animals but dogs by far have my ❤️ I work from home often and I have lots of time and energy for walks and playing. I'm either at home or out for a walk ao your pup will always be with me. My home will be entirely available to your pup and we will play in the yard and go for walks along the dike and at the lake.
“Kate helped us out last minute, and we were so grateful. Minnie takes a little time to warm up and Biggs is very needy, so they can be a lot sometimes. I would definitely recommend her, and we’ll reach out to her the next time we need someone.”

“Kathryn was awesome with our cattle dogs. Millie has anxiety and can get stressed easily. Kathryn worked with our dogs well, gave Millie her medication and played ball with our dogs daily while we where away 5 days. She checked on our cats and showed up on time everyday, gave us good updates and made sure our house was secured when she left everytime. Kathryn will be our go to person for our next vacation.”

About: Ask for my promo code for $20 off your first booking!! Hello, I am a full time student as well as a momma! I am home every weekend as well as holidays and love animals so this is a perfect fit! I do have the whole summer off as well! All pets are welcome but I do require that they be friendly if they are staying overnight at my home because I have dogs of my own! My hours are very flexible, so please feel free to message me if you have any questions about my schedule! I understand pets are family and I will take care of them and treat them as such! Your little ones will be in great hands with me! Thank you! I go to school online and I work as a preschool teacher so I’m home all summer, holidays and weekends with my pup and kid. All dogs are fed separately to prevent any mishaps! If for any reason I have to leave the pups unsupervised my dogs have kennels that they go in to make sure the pups aren’t unsupervised together.
“I couldn’t be more pleased. Jane took the time to know me and my dog at a pre meet and greet . I felt very comfortable leaving Biscotti with her. I appreciated her sending a photo of their walk and debrief note after the walk . I will definitely be calling only Jane in the future”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kelso. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
