“Elyea will have your pets saying "hell yeah!" We have a people reactive American Bully mix who comes from a background of trauma. She takes a very long time to adjust to new humans and makes boarding (and thus going out of town) very difficult. Elyea was up for the challenge and willing to work with us on adjustment so when we actually got to our time to go out of town, both her and Freya would do well with it. Elyea came over for four meet and greets within a couple of weeks leading up to our travel, and each time, Freya got a bit more comfortable with her. Elyea's animal handling experience shined through, as she understood the intricacies of Freya's needs and didn't just dismiss instruction with a "it's fine, I love dogs," aa many people do. When it came time for us to actually go out of town, everyone got along great and all was well. Patient, caring, and flexible. 💯 Will be booking again.”

She came over one week earlier to meet us and went through the care instructions for our pets. She made sure she understood all of the instructions and assured us that she will take great care of them so we don’t have to worry about anything. We loved all of the photos Yuliia sent to us of Mya & Aurora getting lots of pets, out on a walk and playing. She promptly let me know when Mya wasn’t eating any of her food (which is typical for her to do while we are gone). I let Yuliia know what to do and she was able to get Mya to eat her food again. About: Animals have always had an extremely special place in my heart. Ever since I was a kid I’ve helped care for my family’s own pets: feeding them, caring for their health, giving baths, taking them outside and on walks, and pretty much anything else having a pet entails. I also am in the process of beginning volunteering with the cats and dogs at Lawrence Humane Society! I am a full-time student, but I am available whenever I am not busy with classes. I also have a few volunteering shifts throughout each week that I need to work around, and a job (that I will be done with next month). I provide them with food and water, clean up their litter, play with them, take the dogs on walks, and show all the animals lots of love! I am also flexible and open to doing whatever I am able to.

About: I had a dog for 10 years, helping with training like sit and shake, all the way to helping my dog as a senior. I frequently volunteer on KC Pet Project animal shelter where I have given dogs of all sizes dog day outs! I know how to handle a very excited pup all the way to a mellowed out dog! I am very patient with all animals and love giving them the attention that they need. While my own dog was going through cancer in his final months I took him to all his vet appointments, kept on top of all his medicine and physical care. I am currently a college student at the University of Kansas. My class schedule allows me to visit/walk your furry friends starting at 10:30 in the morning all the way to the late hours of the night! Helping your pet will allow me and your pup to get the exercise and fresh air that we both need. With my class schedule I can ensure your pet will walk in the morning before it becomes too hot and drop in any time of the day. I will make it a priority to visit your pet 3-5 times a day. Providing them with walks, playtime, snuggles and food. I will ensure safety for your pet by taking them out regularly, making sure their water bowl is replenished and hopefully keeping them a happy dog while the client is away! If your pet is a senior dog I have experience with administering oral pills for your pup, applying cream, eye drops, or any other kind of medication. If you pet is a pup I can provide safety from other dogs to reduce the risk of harm to your pup and the other pooch.

About: I am a canine enrichment coordinator at a boarding facility and I teach basic and intermediate manners training classes. I have a degree in behavior science and I'm hoping to complete my KPA training certification in the near future. Ask about enrichment and basic training add-ons!
