About: I am a third year veterinary student in KC for the summer at an internship! I have worked as a Veterinary Assistant for 6 years now and have gained experience in handling and working with all breeds and sizes of dogs, as well as cats. I have also been petsitting for family friends for 5 years and have plenty of experience making pets feels comfortable while their owner is away. I am comfortable handling any dog or cat, with anything from giving medications to your senior pup to walks and exercise for the more energetic ones! I’m currently working full-time during the week with some evening hours available. I am also typically available all day during the weekend and on most holidays. As I am currently renting, I am not able to care for pets in my own home. However, I am more than willing to travel and take care of your fur-baby in the comfort of their own home! I have been trained on how to handle all types of animals with care and respect towards them, and would feel comfortable assisting with any training you are working with them on. Most of all, I absolutely love to hang out with any animal and would be honored to care for your fur baby!

About: With over 50 years of hands-on experience in pet care. I've dedicated my life to understanding and supporting the well-being of animals, especially dogs. For 8 years, I have worked as a veterinary technician, where i gained in-depth medical knowledge and practical skills in animal heath, emergency care and preventative treatment. My background also includes extensive experience in both basic and advanced dog training focusing on obedience, behavior modification and building strong bods between pets and their owners. Over the decades I've cared for animals of all ages, breeds and temperaments - from raising litters of puppies and kittens to providing compassionate support for senior pets. My approach combines patience, consistency and a deep respect and love for every animal's unique personality and needs. Things to consider prior to booking: • Are they friendly with other pets? I have one dog and 3 cats in our home. • Are they able to jump a 5ft fence? • Are they protected against Heartworm, Fleas and Ticks? • Potty Trained? I am happy to help train but just need to know ahead of time. • Up to date on all vaccines? • Big chewers? • Let us know if your pet has any special need or accommodation we should account for! I can accommodate a variety of needs! I am happy to provide whatever care your pet needs & make sure they are happy & comfortable in our home. A few things to know about what I offer: 100% Love and Care I take photos of your pet (I am not a professional photographer) – I will try not to overwhelm you! I do not require a meet and greet but am happy to do so. My preference is to introduce your pet(s) to mine slowly and very controlled environment. SAFETY is my #1 Concern for your pets and for mine. What to bring for your stay: Collar with a tag & leash Food (Label with the amount per meal) - Slow feeder if needed Medications, if needed Kennel (for boarding stays) - Anything to make them comfortable in their kennel (blanket, toys, bed) I generally don’t use a kennel if they are good house guests (no destruction or accidents) they can have house privileges. I will provide: Water Bowls (I have many throughout the house and outside) Foods Bowls Toys - Treats - Chew bones & treats Dog beds around the house (I have many) A Typical Day can be: Wake up and take them out to potty (I have a big, fenced back yard). Feed them breakfast Out for potty about 2 hours (or sooner) after breakfast. Relax, play and/or snooze as they want. Potty breaks are directed by their needs, they let me know they need to potty, and we go outside (I am their servant, and I stay with them while they are outside). They potty and play and then we come in. This goes on all day as needed. Cuddles on command and if they just want to lay around, I’m ok with that as well. I have taken all my dogs (past and present) through many different levels of training session – Puppy, Basic and Advanced. Let me know what you need, and I am happy to help. SPECIAL NOTE with Regard to Cats Cats do their own things and totally dictate their day to day and I respect and honor their wishes! I do have a room set up that they can call their own (if needed) and I have a secure Catio they can hang out in and enjoy fresh air. I am retired and love to help people and their pets. I have lots of free time and want to offer my knowledge and experience to people who have busy lives but want the best for their furbabies. I live on 3/4 acre and I have a large fenced in back yard. I do have a dog and 3 cats at home so any pets that need to be watched at my home need to be able to get along with them. I am dependable and honest and can also take care of your pets in your home. If you need to know anything else, please ask.

“Maggie is the best!! We needed someone to watch our skittish and shy Australian Shepherd on short notice and we had to be gone for 2 weeks. She not only took care of the dog, but our house too! We had several deliveries that were going to be made while we were gone, and Maggie was able to stay at our house and not only deal with the dog, but the house too! It was such a peace of mind. She was in constant contact with us - letting us know when deliveries were made or just sending us cute pictures of the dog. If you need someone who is attentive that can take care of your pets or even your house - Maggie is perfect! She has a very calm presence, and our dog was completely relaxed around her. Kansas City dog parents share their Rover experiences
Luz was great with keeping my dog happy and content while and after Luz left. My small Jack Russell was satisfied and happy after his play date.

Amanda went above and beyond for us when Lou got hurt during our trip, and we couldn’t ask for a better person to take care of him and get him what he needed. Just a rockstar all around. We will miss her when we move out of KC!
