About: I have owned and cared for pets my entire life. I'm recently retired from a long career as a professional equestrian and horse trainer, and I'm excited to begin this journey of offering pet care services to the community! I have experience with all types and ages of pets ... from very young to very senior. I have experience administering medications, giving injections, and basic first aid. My lifestyle is active, and I'm happy to provide whatever exercise that your pet needs, whether that is a long trail hike, or simply walks around the neighborhood. And lots of love and snuggles of course :) I also have extensive horse experience, and limited experience with other livestock, and I'm happy to provide services for those animals as well. I currently work from home and have an extremely flexible schedule, which allows me to work around whatever your pet care needs are. I have a reliable 4 wheel drive vehicle, so I can get to some of the further out Nevada County destinations no problem. I pride myself on being punctual, organized and reliable, and you can rest assured that your pet(s) and home will receive attentive and loving care. I am happy to take care of any additional tasks that you might need around your home while you're away (checking mail, taking out trash, watering plants/garden, etc. )

About: I began working with animals at a young age, volunteering at local shelters such as the Truckee Humane Society and caring for dogs in the Tahoe community. I’m available for morning, midday, and evening care, and I do my best to accommodate specific routines or requests whenever possible. Whether your dog thrives on activity or prefers a slower pace, I tailor my schedule to meet their needs and keep things as consistent as possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live on a large property that provides plenty of space for movement and exploration in a calm, natural setting. For safety, I always use a leash during walks and outdoor time until a strong relationship and reliable recall are established—or always, if that is your preference. I’m attentive to each dog’s temperament, boundaries, and energy level, and I strive to create a secure, low-stress environment where they feel confident and cared for. Clear communication with owners is important to me, and I follow all instructions closely to ensure continuity of care.

I’m often entrusted with extended and live-in care, and I take stewardship of both pets and home seriously. I’ve cared for a wide range of animals and situations, including long-term dog sitting for a couple over several years, from weekend trips to multi-week stays. Before a period of travel abroad, they even flew me to Portland to care for their dogs, Sana and Osa, and their cat Ninja during a three-week wedding trip to Mexico. Sana required extra sensitivity and daily car rides to a quiet cemetery to avoid overstimulation, which I was happy to accommodate. I’ve also house- and pet-sat for a senior couple, caring for two cats, two chickens, and managing a daily bird-feeding system for local avian visitors who were dear companions to the homeowner. In another sit, I tended to a rescue crow and her two cat companions for a full month while the owners were in India studying Vedic astrology. In many of these situations, I’ve also been responsible for watering plants, collecting mail, maintaining routines, and simply being a reassuring human presence in the home—keeping things running smoothly, lights on, and the house clearly lived-in while owners are away. I’m very comfortable accommodating unique requests and supporting both pets and homes with care and respect. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, which allows me to be present and adapt my day around your pets’ needs. I’m able to accommodate feeding schedules, walks, medication, playtime, and companionship, and I’m open to coordinating routines that support your pet’s comfort and wellbeing. I provide care in my clients’ homes, maintaining their pets’ normal routines and environment. I focus on calm, attentive presence, safety, and clear communication. I’m comfortable administering medication, managing feeding and exercise, and keeping the home clean, secure, and lived-in while you’re away. About: Been a proud owner of goats, cats, chickens, reptiles and dogs. I've had experience in the veterinary field, worked with and cared for livestock and house pets. I am currently working full time as a CNA, my schedule is kinda wacky. I work PM shifts from 2:30pm-10:30pm, on a four on and two off rotation. In my own home I have reptiles and three cats and one older dog around. If your pet is staying with me or I’m keeping them company in your own home, I always am engaging with the pet. Any opportunity to play and have some fun, we’re doing it! If they’re more laid back and want to snooze next to me, I will relax with them.

About: from young puppies to elderly pets, i can accommodate most situations and work my hardest to make your pet feel at home!! with land for trained dogs off leash or a nice clean living room for the inside cat i work for myself at home, so can be attentive and on call all day for your pets specific needs. i work in a garage just a few minutes walk from my home! may parents have a small dog in their cabin, and i have labradoodle that stays with me, or in her own home. lots of space for the trained dogs off leash to roam, or a place for the dog that needs a fenced in run!!

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I could remember. It wasn’t until I was 17 and a few staff members somewhere I attended started getting bunny’s and needed help caring for them, that’s when it really sparked for me. I’ve worked with so many amazing pets and owners since starting rover and it has been beautiful, I would love the opportunity to provide my services to your furry family. I currently have open availability as I’m waiting for my beauty school start date. I Will update my schedule as soon as I have my class schedule. Depending on the area you live in, I will pre pick the route (unless the owner has a preference on route), duration, and distance from my location to yours. I will ensure your pet has all the necessary gear for their walks by your preference (harness, specific leash, booties) I provide water and a collapsible bowl so they stay hydrated as well. I can provide gear if needed (leash, small or large harness)

About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I run a 501(c)(3) dog rescue, regularly transport dogs, care for puppies, seniors, and special-needs dogs, administer medications, work on basic training, leash manners, and provide structured, loving care tailored to each pet’s needs. Pet care fits seamlessly into my schedule because animals are already a central part of my daily life. I work from home and plan my days around feeding schedules, walks, medications, enrichment, and individualized care. This flexibility allows me to be reliable, responsive, and fully present for each pet. I have 2 600+ feet plus areas for dogs to run and play. We have a building for them to sleep cozy, clean and safe.

About: Offering a safe home away from home, compassionate care, and peace of mind for pet owners is something that all pet sitters should be offering. I go far beyond this standard providing both care and training. Since I was a child, dogs and cats have gravitated toward me and I've always enjoyed their companionship; you can almost always find me with at least one dogs around. It's never been an unruly mass of teeth and paws though; I've always taken the time to teach my furry friends to walk on leash, to have immediate recall, to be polite in kitchen, and to use their voices kindly. I do the same with every animal that I am given care of, gently coaching them to be civil, furry companions while showering them with love. I am currently working from home and set my own schedule. I have a set daily morning and evening walk which your pup(s) will join. During the day, you pup(s) will have company of two dogs, three cats and plenty of pets from me. On weekends we go on adventure hikes. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company during the day. I have crates, leashes, grooming tools and home made dog beds for all pet care needs.

About: I love being with older and disabled animals. I have my experience from working in Animal Shelters for about 2 years, doggie daycares, pet crematories and also petsitting for different companies and myself over 20 yrs. I am a full time traveling pet/housesitter with my 14 yr old pup. I have owned many animals throughout my life and have experience with meds, subQ fluids, end of life, aggressive dogs/cats and finicky pets. I'll treat your babies as if they were mine! I can also share many reviews from other platforms upon request. I am always available to help you out with your fur babies anytime! I work remotely and have a very flexible schedule. Everyday, any time I will follow all directions given in writing on how to care best for your sweet baby. I can do walks, playtime, exercise, training, massage and reiki and anything else needed!

About: I have been taking care of my own dog as well as pet sitting neighbors dogs since I was around 9 years old. I walked them and fed them twice daily and gladly spent some time giving them some love and playing with them. I then started working at horse stables, helping to feed them, clean stalls, take them out to graze, bathe them, and train them for years while taking riding lessons during the time as well. After that, I raised chickens at our home and was taking Agriculture and farm classes, and learning how to take care of the farm animals was a part of the course. During that time, I was also living on the mountain on a farm with an 100% pure wolf, a pit bull, two other dogs, and two other cats as well as taking care of the neighbors pigs, horse, and donkey. I have also have done volunteer work at animal shelters several times. I have always been an animal enthusiast and lover. Spending time with animals always fills up my heart with happiness :) I am available generally everyday, the times may vary, but I will always be able to discuss it with you and try to make a plan that works best for everyone. If they need to stay at my home, I have a fenced in yard as well as a crate in storage for small to medium size dogs if necessary and preferred. The animals will be staying inside my home and I will be around to let them in and out, feed them, and give them love! I live in a beautiful location surrounded by trees, trails, a lake, and a pond where I can take them out for walks/hikes everyday. They will get plenty of love here. Dogs are allowed on the furniture/bed only if they ask/are invited to. If you do not do that at your home, I will make sure to not allow that at our home either. If they are staying at your home, I am available any day for walks, visits to your home to feed and let them out, stay over while you are away, or whatever else you may need. I can work around what is best for everyone and discuss a schedule for what you need.

“Sasha dropped in on my dog Willow a few times this week and I could not have asked for a better person to take care of her. Willow is very nervous around strangers, generally very distrustful and defensive, but she seemed to connect with Sasha from the start at the meet and greet. Sasha was so sweet and understanding with her, never pushing Willow to interact more than she wanted to. When she dropped in, Sasha took Willow outside and played with her (sent me the most adorable video!!), refilled her water, gave her some treats, and cuddled with her on the couch. Before she left on the last day she even cleaned up some of Willow's toys, which I am always terrible about doing. It was such a sweet gesture when I myself was already nervous about someone coming over, it put me right at ease. ? Sasha was very communicative and went above and beyond dropping in on Willow and I couldn't be more grateful. I will definitely contact her again for future drop ins when I need them!”

I’ve owned or lived with pets for most of my life. The few years when I didn’t were when I was working as a National Park ranger. During that time I still got to learn a lot about animal behavior from observing wild animals across the USA. This time spent with animals combined with my sensitivity and attention to detail add up to me being able to “tune in” with your fur-baby so I know when to interact and when to let them have space. Just a bit shy and hid on Sheriane most days. This was much less stressful on Charcoal than going to a kennel. Sheriane checked in and kept us updated. 100% would use Rover and Sheriane again. About: I have experience caring for dogs aging from 8 weeks to 15 years. I had 4 dogs of my own, I now have 2. Experience includes: potty training, positive reinforcement, disciplining unwanted behavior with vocal tones and hand gestures, playing/exercise, cuddling/affection, feeding, giving medicine, etc. My schedule is mostly flexible right now so I am available to do any day of the week and can work in the early afternoons to late afternoons. I have a fenced yard and two adult males that are mostly friendly. One is 3 and is high energy and loves to wrestle and play while the other is older and more relaxed.

I work at home, so I have ultimate flexibility during work weeks and weekends. I am happy to take dogs on as many walks/runs/breaks as needed. I am in good shape, and I can handle larger and more energetic breeds. My neighborhood is dog-friendly with plenty of streets and dirt trails to the lake to walk or run on.
