About: I have worked at an animal hospital for 5 years total where I learned how to train dogs from Kathy Sadao who used to train the wales to relinquish the bombs for the Navy. I have owned large and XL breed dogs my whole life as well. I will treat your dog like a human child as they will be allowed on my furniture, my bed, and probably my kids beds as well. I have a little over 10 acres for them to play on. We are starting a small farm style residents and would love to shower your fur babies with love and attention. Since starting Rover, 90% of my clients are returning, and become part of our family as well. I have trained people’s dogs in the time I have had them along with help manage dogs anxiety’s to different things. I helped a water aggressive dog become no longer water aggressive. A dog who pulled on a leash so hard you couldn’t walk him to now, my 6 year old son walks him with no worries. As much as my family loves to play with and cuddle your 4 legged babies we also love to help you out by training them if we can. I have plenty of time for all pet care needs to be met. I am a stay at home mom, but all my kids now go to school so your fur babies will have all my attention most of the time during the week. I have a fenced yard, very safe neighborhood, loving high energetic family, big house, 10 acres, and I have worked at an animal hospital in the past I can tell if something is wrong with your dog. If you would like I love sending pictures and videos as well.
“Excellent communicator and really helped me out with taking my dog out while I settled into a new job where it wasn’t feasible for me to go home on my lunch break the first month. Would absolutely book her again!”

About: I have taken care of pets since I was 13 Years old and have had experience with both young and senior pets. I was responsible for training some of my own family's pets, and I enjoy adapting to basic training with puppies or providing gentle and patient care for older pets who need extra support. I am very reliable with feeding schedules, medications, and updates so you can feel fully confidnet you pet is in good hands! Pet care fits into my routine by being something I attentively prioritize and plan around. I structure my schedule so I can give pets full attention during visits and walks. I am flexible with all times throughout the day, whether that be mornings, afternoons, or evenings. This helps me to accommodate feeding schedules, exercise needs, and check-ins. I prioritize building my day to be reliable so each pet receives consistent and effective care. When I am caring for a client's pet, I follow an established routine to help pets feel comfortable and secure under my care. I prioritize important aspects of schedules, including feedings, walks, playtime, and medication if needed. I keep homes clean, respect the spaces of those I am hired by, and love to provide regular photo updates so owners know their pet is doing well. My overall goal is to keep a calm, familiar environment that reduces stress for pets.
About: I’ve been caring for animals for about six years and have experience with dogs, cats, and other pets. I’ve helped friends, family, and neighbors with pet sitting, feeding, walks, playtime, and daily care. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and needs, from energetic young animals to older pets that need a little extra attention. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and always do my best to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while their owners are away. My schedule is very flexible and I am generally available at most times. I can accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and last minute bookings whenever needed. I focus on clear communication, consistent routines, and attentive care so pets feel comfortable and owners feel confident, informed, and reassured while they are away.

I offer playtime for all dogs and cats, an assortment of treats upon request, daily walks, and more, depending on your preferences! I can crate dogs overnight or per the owner's requests and feed your pets according to any meal plan. My pet care will be personalized to my client's preferences and their pet's needs!
“Sidney did great with handling our dogs and cat through our "getting to know you" visits that we set up, and we agreed the last walk was not needed prior to the longer pet sitting, so "review" saying a dog walk was cancelled is not a negative on Sidney, just not necessary but she didn't cancel it electronically soon enough. She did a great job with the pets and will be happy to arrange for her to sit them again on future occasions.”

About: My name is Dorothy, I have dogs & cats at home. I'm willing to watch dogs at my home but I can always go check on animals! If you have animals other than dogs, I can watch after them too. I'm great with pets of all kind and love them all! I've had pets for about 17 years now and their health and safety is my number one priority. In the future I plan on working in wildlife rehabilitation so I love working with animals any time I can! I can watch after, check on, and walk your dog(s). Right now I stay home with my baby. I'm very flexible with times so send me a message and we'll figure it out! Hope to see your furry best friends soon! I currently work from home so my schedule is very flexible. I can pretty much care for animals any time of the day. Reach out and let me know! I have a fenced in yard at my house for my dogs which is convenient for me. I also have plenty of property separated to allow dogs to run around on. I can always take your dog out for a walk or play. And if they need some off leash time, my yard could work great!

About: Hi I'm Alexis and I’ve been a pet sitter for friends and family off and on for the last six years. That means I’ve spent over half a decade figuring out exactly who really runs the house (spoiler: it’s usually the cat). I have spent that time mastering the art of the perfect walk and the "do-not-disturb-me" nap. Neighbors and family have always relied on me because they know I don't just "check in," I actually show up and spend quality time with their pets. My real-world training comes from my own crew. Back home in Washington, I have Me-low, a sweet Golden Retriever I personally trained, and LuLu, a spunky Maltipoo. While I’m at college in Arizona, I share a home with our adopted gray tabby, Bambi. Having a mixed household of my own means I am a pro at balancing high dog energy with clear cat boundaries. What 6 Years of Experience Looks Like: Safety & Security: Whether it is a "Smooth Operator" cat or a dog that is "Born to Run," safety is my #1 priority. I have handled walks in busy areas and know how to keep pets calm around distractions. I am comfortable with all sizes, including 90lb breeds that think they are lap dogs. Cat Confidence: Thanks to Bambi, I am "fluent in cat." I know when they want to play with a feather toy and when they just want to be left alone to judge me from a distance. I respect their space while making sure they are happy and cared for. Specialized Care: I am comfortable following strict feeding schedules and administering oral medications. Whether it is a puppy in training like Me-low was or a senior pet who needs extra patience, I make sure they stay healthy and never skip a beat. Open Communication: I am big on keeping you in the loop. You will get regular photo updates and check-ins so you can see exactly how much fun your babies are having. I know the stress of being away, and I want you to feel at ease from wherever you are. My Promise to You I know how heavy it feels to leave your babies behind. To me, your pet isn't just a "booking"; they are the star of the show. Whether it’s high-energy walks or quiet "golden hour" naps, I promise that for every tail wag they give and every purr they make... I’ll be watching them. I am currently home from college and my schedule is wide open till mid-July. I am available Monday through Sunday for full-time care, walks, and check-ins. Because I am not juggling classes right now, your pets are my main priority. Please note: I will be heading back to Arizona for the upcoming semester between August 13th-22nd, so I am looking for bookings that take place before that move. Until then, I have total flexibility to stick to your specific routine and provide plenty of companionship for your "babies." I provide care exclusively in the client's home, as I do not offer boarding in my own home at this time. This allows your pets to stay in their own comfortable, familiar environment while you are away. When I am in your home, I treat it with the same respect I give my own. I prioritize a "safety-first" environment by doing a quick sweep for anything your pet shouldn't get into and making sure all doors and gates are secure. I am very diligent about leashes and harnesses during walks to prevent any accidents. I believe trust is built through communication. You can expect regular photo updates so you know your pets are safe, happy, and following their normal rhythm. Whether it is keeping a cat's litter area pristine or ensuring a dog gets their exact training commands, I am dedicated to maintaining your home exactly how you like it. If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to ask!
About: I have had a total of 3 dogs as siblings, since I was a baby. A chihuahua, black lab, and a German Shepard/Rottweiler mix. I turned from just a dog lover to also a cat lover when I got my son, Theo, as a kitten. He’s 4 now and a sweet, silly boy. There’s also 3 other cats where I live and they attach to me like Velcro. I’ve had a lot of experience with taking care of others people’s animals (mostly dogs and cats) while their owners were out of town. I’ve done drop-ins, as well as staying overnight at their homes. In total, I’ve taken care of over 30 dogs and 15 cats. I fall in love with just about every dog and cat I see and I have always done a great job at taking care of them and showing them love. I continuously increase my experience in taking care of animals and I enjoy it so much!! I’m a 24 year old stay-at-home mom to a 1 year old. I’d either take her with me or leave her home with her dad or grandma. You can let me know your preference! I want them to feel 100% at home in any way i possibly can. Making sure they’re happy and loved on while their loved ones are away for work or on vacation.
About: I've been around dogs since I was young and playing with them makes my heart happy. Please help me out with being homesick from home! I am free every Tuesdays and every other weekend. Whether it's feeding, walks, playtime, litter box care, or medication, I make sure every pet receives attentive, reliable care tailored to their needs. I also pay close attention to each pet's behavior and well-being. If I notice any new, unusual, or concerning behaviors, I will contact the pet parent right away so they can stay informed and involved in their pet's care. I know how important it is to know your pet is doing well while you're away, so I'm always happy to provide regular photo updates and written check-ins. A 12 year old ash point lynx named Viktor. And a 2 month old kitten named Roscoe. They are both strays We picked up. And four Sugar Gliders: Stitch, Ziggy, Joey, Gizmo. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
