About: I’ve been caring for animals for about six years and have experience with dogs, cats, and other pets. I’ve helped friends, family, and neighbors with pet sitting, feeding, walks, playtime, and daily care. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and needs, from energetic young animals to older pets that need a little extra attention. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and always do my best to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while their owners are away. My schedule is very flexible and I am generally available at most times. I can accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and last minute bookings whenever needed. I focus on clear communication, consistent routines, and attentive care so pets feel comfortable and owners feel confident, informed, and reassured while they are away.

About: I have had a total of 3 dogs as siblings, since I was a baby. A chihuahua, black lab, and a German Shepard/Rottweiler mix. I turned from just a dog lover to also a cat lover when I got my son, Theo, as a kitten. He’s 4 now and a sweet, silly boy. There’s also 3 other cats where I live and they attach to me like Velcro. I’ve had a lot of experience with taking care of others people’s animals (mostly dogs and cats) while their owners were out of town. I’ve done drop-ins, as well as staying overnight at their homes. In total, I’ve taken care of over 30 dogs and 15 cats. I fall in love with just about every dog and cat I see and I have always done a great job at taking care of them and showing them love. I continuously increase my experience in taking care of animals and I enjoy it so much!! I’m a 24 year old stay-at-home mom to a 1 year old. I’d either take her with me or leave her home with her dad or grandma. You can let me know your preference! I want them to feel 100% at home in any way i possibly can. Making sure they’re happy and loved on while their loved ones are away for work or on vacation.

About: I have grown up with cats and dogs, and am familiar with many other kinds of animals. I have sat for non-family/friends and well as them included many times before! I have managed taking care of 5+ pets at once, given proper meds, care, playtime, etc. This experience ranges from kittens/puppies just a few days old, to older aged animals. I work “full time” but I work around 30 hours and I have a lot of split shifts so time before or after to check-in with the pets. This looks like morning feed, going outside, if any meds or vitamins need to be taken or same with after depending on the time of day needed. Depending on circumstances of boundaries and rules of each pet, I easily find a solution and adapt if needed. I will watch your dog/cat outside or on a leash front or back of yard. If there are off-limit areas inside our outside those will be closed doors or if there’s a gate it will be put up per clients request. If there needs to be check-ins with owner that be applicable, I am attentive to my phone, when and if necessary.

About: I have been around animals my whole life. I grew up with two family dogs for 18 years, and caring for pets has just always come naturally to me. I also foster dogs, cats, and small critters, so I have experience with pets of all personalities, ages, and needs Pet care fits so naturally into my day because I genuinely love having animals around me. My schedule is super flexible. I’m in part-time school and work part-time so I have plenty of time. When pets are in my home, they’re treated like part of the family. I keep a close eye on them at all times making sure they’re safely leashed outside, supervised during playtime, and always comfortable. I follow whatever routines they’re used to, like feeding schedules, crate time, or potty breaks, so they feel calm and at home. There’s always lots of love, attention, and gentle structure to keep them happy and safe. When I’m caring for pets in someone else’s home, respect is everything to me. I treat your space the same way I’d want mine treated clean, careful, and mindful of your rules. Whether I’m staying overnight or just stopping by for a walk, I make sure your pet gets all the care they need while also keeping your home tidy, secure, and exactly how you left it. I’m very routine friendly, so I happily follow your pet’s normal schedule, house rules, and comfort needs.

About: Available for last minute/odd schedule requests. Everything sets me apart from others because I've learned over all my yrs experience that when trust is shown trust is given. Then everything else falls into place. ***Available for last minute/odd schedule requests.*** Animals are my escape I enjoy all of them! Life would be boring without them. They bring so much happiness to me!!!l Life is just better with them in it to enjoy with us. Remember ***(Available for last minute/odd schedule requests.)*** Fur babies run the roost! I usually take them out every half hour just for exercise or fun as well as potty breaks (which is a good way to break bad marking habits for ones training). If it's a nice day usually we are outside all day playing and walking teaching the ones who are still in need of guided assistance. Which actually makes things way easier on me. Unless of course it's just to hot to be out side. Rainy days are our lazy days or indoor activity days. Lots of cuddles and loves. My personal fur babies are not kenneled but I do have kennels for ones who prefer it. It's whatever makes them happiest. Or feel the safest. I'm a pretty good judge of character when it comes to fur babies. We read one another very well. Which in turn makes us more comfy with one another. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with one ever.i know when to back off or come in for loves. Mutal respect is the best policy I feel.

I am currently working part time doing instacart so I am on the road and can stop whenever I need to let them out or take them on a walk. I am also starting school this summer so I will be available after classes as well. I usually stay over at my friend's house whenever they are gone to watch their fur babies. About: I grew up raising and owning dogs, but I don't have an ego and pretend to know everything or be an expert. I'm always willing to learn and treat every dog with an open mind. I used to raise German Shepherds, but that hobby has since run its course. I've worked as a kennel assistant For vet clinics, and I've also volunteered at a few wolf sanctuaries. I'm currently having a fairly open schedule while I reconstruct my life, so I'm very flexible and at times, can handle last minute plan changes or bookings. I try to provide stimulation and exercise amongst my dogs daily. Walking, play, etc. I also try to have them around whenever at all possible.

I work remotely full time, which means your pup gets plenty of supervision, attention, cuddles, potty breaks, and play throughout the day. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, with a special soft spot for small dogs, seniors, anxious pups, and dogs with medical or mobility needs. I’m comfortable administering medications and have hands-on experience with post-operative care, IVDD/spinal conditions, orthopedic concerns, and senior dogs who need a little extra patience and support. My home is designed to be safe and low stress. We have a large fully fenced private yard, ramps for preventative safety, play pens and gates if needed, and a relaxed indoor environment for lounging, naps, and low-key play. I’m cage free unless owners prefer otherwise. I’m Pet CPR certified and take safety seriously. All dogs must be fully vaccinated, including Bordetella, and current on flea prevention for the safety of every dog in my care. I love getting to know each dog’s personality and routine so I can make their stay feel as comfortable and familiar as possible. I also send frequent photo and video updates throughout the day so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and loved. I’d love to set up a meet and greet and learn more about your pup! I work remotely, so my routine is very flexible which allows me to accommodate your pet’s routine. I will always be around to make sure your pup gets all the love and attention they need! I have a beautiful, private, secure yard with an 8-foot wood fence in a quiet neighborhood! My house is completely dog friendly and pet safe and remodeled to accommodate indoor play and relaxing. About: Hi there! I’m Alyssa a dedicated and reliable pet sitter with over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals! From playful pups and cuddly cats to majestic horses and even farm animals. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I take great pride in providing loving, personalized care tailored to each pet’s unique personality and needs. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding, grooming, administering medications, or just keeping your pet company while you’re away, I treat every animal like they’re my own. I work from home two days a week, and on the other three weekdays, I’m in the office for just four hours at a time. That means I’m never away from the house for more than 5 hours – and I always make time for check-ins, walks, or play breaks before and after any outing. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I offer a secure, pet-friendly environment with a fully fenced large yard, perfect for supervised playtime, fresh air, and plenty of tail wags. Whether your pet loves to run, explore, or just relax in the sunshine, they’ll have the space and freedom to feel right at home. They’ll also be in great company! I have three friendly, well-socialized fur babies of my own who love meeting new pals and help create a warm, welcoming pack vibe. Whether your pet is shy or super social, I always take time to make gentle, supervised introductions to ensure everyone feels safe, happy, and respected. With constant supervision, personalized attention, and a calm home setting, your furry family member will be cared for just like one of my own.

About: I love animals of all walks of life and personally own two large dogs and two cats. I have also volunteered 500+ combined hours between a horse rescue called the Equine Project and the Tacoma and Auburn Valley Humane Societies. I can take dogs on short or long walks, runs, and hikes, can handle all sizes and ages of animal, and know how to and am able to groom, pet sit, and train for a negotiable additional cost. I recently graduated from Pacific Lutheran University earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and am currently working remotely. I love working with animals and because of my flexible working conditions I am able to stay with the animals I’m caring for full-time. I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your fluffy companion. I am currently continuing my education online and working remotely, so I have complete flexibility in my schedule! I love animals and have been working as a pet sitter for years and love this work. I try to maintain the routine that an animal normally has as much as I can. I like to meet an animal where they’re at, if they have a lot of energy I’ll provide enrichment, walks, and engage with them often, if they’re lower energy we’ll hang out and I’ll provide as much snuggling as they’re interested in!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 3,270 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Clay City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Clay City. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Clay City.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clay City. On Rover:

  • 95% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
