I am available all day during almost every day, feel free to ask and I can gladly make the time to visit your pets during a time that works best for them! I have a fenced in backyard and crate train our dogs, I’m able to clean up after accidents with a green machine if need be, flexible care if needing crates, feed dogs of any temperament and check for ticks if need be.
“Lauren was consistent with our twice a day drop-ins even after getting a huge amount of snow on day 2 of checking in on my 2 kitties! She took time to make sure their litter was clean, they were fed, and played with them. The report card photos were a treat we looked forward to after every visit! Will definitely book her again in the future.”

“Megan did a great job taking care of Tiger while we were away, watered our plants, and even waged war on some ants that took advantage of us being gone! We would definitely use her services again in the future; she definitely eased the stress of being so far away from home with her updates and pictures!”

“Kelly was so sweet and understanding! Asked so many questions to get to know my baby and make sure he got the best care possible! She also made some awesome treats that my dog LOVED! Would definitely recommend!”

About: As a kid, I was the reason my parents got a dog that I ended up loving and taking care of during my childhood. I have always loved animals and as an adult now I have had a cat for 5 years. Dogs and cats always end up loving me as I always love them back! I have experience taking care of friend's pets (mostly cats), but I am also definitely able to take care of dogs if given instructions and I love to walk dogs as well. If you want someone who will love and care for your pet I am that person! I am currently flexible part time for pet care. I can take care of your pet in the morning or the afternoon for the most part and can be available on weekends as well Currently not able to care for pets in my home, but I will be able to go to your home and care for your pet if needed. I am respectful and will adhere to any instructions you put out for taking care of your pet in your home.
About: I have taken care of my friends pets for a few years now, either going over to their house to check on them, let them out and play with them or even taking them on walks. I currently have 3 dogs at home, and I have been taking care of them since they were puppies as well as the dogs I have had previously as well. I know how to handle small dogs and medium/large dogs, whether it comes to walks or just checking in to play with them, or let them out for the bathroom. I am currently working a part-time job, so I have all the time during the day to walk dogs and care for them. I am free anytime after 9 am. I currently have three dogs of my own at home. I play with them a lot inside the house when it gets too hot, and every few hours I let them out for the bathroom and play and tire them out, when outside, depending on how hot it is. I walk around outside with them to get some walking in up and down our driveway.
“Stephanie was great - very available and responsive, kept me up to date every day we were gone (even when that was days of mostly “the food magically disappeared overnight and poop appeared in the correct place, so I’m confident your invisible cat is alive”), and extremely flexible when I texted her in a panic asking her to do something extra for me. And I was never less than highly confident that she’d take great care of him.”

“Natalie was great! We learned rather quickly our two cats were in good hands during our vacation. Natalie was very prompt, efficient and sensitive to any concerns or preferences we had. We will definitely ask for her again!”

About: I’m a true animal lover! I’ve cared for furry family my entire life. A house is not a home for us without them. I take the time to get to know clients wishes & customize each visit according to each guest’s desire. If you prefer couch over doggy bed, they get the couch. If you don’t want them on your couch at home, then that’s off limits. I have been a dog trainer in the past, so I can help with that too while your furry family is entrusted to my care. We live on a small farm with two 6’ high fenced play areas with pet pools & toys. Your furry family member is my first priority! This is my full time job. I’m home most of the day, each & every day. If they need lots of extra playtime each day, I’m happy to oblige! Their happiness makes me happy. 😊 Your furry family becomes our furry family. I treat them as our special guests while here & cater to their individual needs. I like to think it’s their vacation time as well while you’re on your vacation; all while following the same guidelines you have established in your home. I follow your rules whether caring for your pets in my home or yours. I have 2 large 6’ high fenced play areas. We play catch, frisbee, & have a growing number of obstacles to entertain guests. Please let me know what I can do to make their visit most enjoyable. 💞🐶🐈🐎💞

About: Hello, my name is Ashley. I am a Certified Veterinary Technician with 20 years of experience in general practice, emergency & critical care, and radiation oncology. My career has been dedicated to providing attentive, high level care to animals, with a focus on safety, comfort, and individualized attention. As a military spouse for the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of working in veterinary practices across the country, gaining extensive specialty experience and caring for pets with a wide range of medical and emotional needs. These experiences shaped my calm, adaptable approach and deep understanding that every pet deserves thoughtful, personalized care. I am certified in both Basic Life Support (BLS CPR) and Advanced Life Support (ALS CPR), and I’m especially comfortable caring for senior pets, anxious pets, post procedure/operative patients, and medically complex animals who benefit from experienced handling and close observation. My goal is to provide a seamless, stress free experience for both pets and their owners. Whether your pet prefers quiet companionship, structured routines, or extra reassurance while you’re away, they will be cared for with professionalism, patience, and genuine affection. I understand the level of trust it takes to place your pet in someone else’s care, and I strive to offer the same level of attentiveness and reliability I would want for my own animals. After spending 20 years in veterinary specialty hospitals, I’ve decided to step away from clinical medicine and focus on what I love most, providing compassionate, personalized care for pets in my community. My background allows me to comfortably care for pets with specialized medical needs, seniors, anxiety, medications, and post-procedure care. While safety and medical knowledge are a huge part of my experience, my goal now is simple: to give pets the love, comfort, cuddles, patience, and pampering they deserve. As someone who understands that unexpected work trips, emergencies, long days, and last minute plans happen, I purposely keep my schedule as open and flexible as possible to help support pet owners when they need it most. At this time, I provide care exclusively in your pet’s home environment rather than offering in home boarding or daycare services. I currently have pets of my own at home, and I believe this allows me to give your pet the safest, calmest, and most individualized experience possible in the comfort of their familiar surroundings. Providing care in your home also helps minimize stress, maintain routines, and allows me to focus on personalized attention, specialized care, cuddles, companionship, and pampering tailored to your pet’s unique needs.

I’m available for midday walks, morning strolls, evening outings, or energetic runs, and I tailor each outing to your dog’s energy level and needs. I’m familiar with handling all kinds of dogs—from leash pullers to laid-back seniors—and I’m happy to accommodate special requests. Whether your pup loves the park, a quiet neighborhood stroll, or a brisk jog, I’ve got you covered. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate ample time to caring for pets throughout the day. About: I’ve always been very comfortable around animals and genuinely enjoy caring for them. I previously worked as a pet sitter caring for a home with 7 cats and understand how important routine, cleanliness, patience, and attention are for pets while their owners are away. I also volunteer with Catsbury Park cat rescue and currently care for 6 cats of my own, so I have experience with different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine since I already care for multiple cats of my own every day. I’m currently available Wednesday evenings, Thursdays, and Fridays for drop-in visits and pet sitting. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and always make sure pets are fed, comfortable, and given attention while their owners are away. I always prioritize creating a calm, safe, and clean environment for every pet I care for. I understand how important routines are for animals, especially cats, and I carefully follow feeding instructions, litter box cleaning, medications if needed, and any special care requests. I’m respectful of clients’ homes and focus on making pets feel comfortable, secure, and stress-free while their owners are away.

About: What truly sets me apart is my professional background. As a special education teacher with seven years of experience in the classroom, patience, structure, and the ability to adapt to individual needs are woven into everything I do. I bring that exact same mindset to pet care. I understand that every animal learns and communicates differently, and I excel at reading body language and adjusting my approach to make sure every pet feels safe, understood, and comfortable. Alongside having pets my entire life, I have spent the last 8 years providing dedicated pet care for family members and neighbors. Because of my teaching background, I am highly reliable when it comes to maintaining strict daily routines. This makes me particularly well-equipped to handle the unique needs of different life stages: Senior Care: I am incredibly patient and comfortable maintaining the slow, gentle pacing and strict medication or dietary schedules that senior pets often require to thrive in their golden years. Puppy Care & Training: I thrive on consistency and positive reinforcement. I am highly capable of maintaining the firm but gentle boundaries, frequent potty breaks, and structured play that young pets need while they are still learning their manners. Whether your pet needs quiet, gentle companionship or structured, engaging play, I have the experience, reliability, and heart to provide care that is perfectly tailored to them. I believe in complete transparency regarding my schedule so you know exactly when your pet is receiving my undivided attention: Summer Hours (Now – August): I am currently working a shorter schedule and am fully available for walks, drop-ins, and playtime every day after 1:30 PM. Fall Hours (Starting in September): I will be working my regular full-time schedule until 4:00 PM. However, my evenings will be completely open and dedicated to after-work walks, dinner routines, and evening companionship! I look forward to meeting your best friend and providing them with the highest level of care! I know firsthand that leaving your furry family members can be stressful. My goal is to provide a safe, engaging, and loving environment so you can have complete peace of mind while you are away. I treat every animal in my care with the exact same affection and attentiveness I give my own. My Experience I have been surrounded by pets my entire life, which has given me a deep, intuitive understanding of the daily care, patience, and affection animals require. For the past 8 years, I have been the trusted, go-to pet sitter for my neighbors and extended family. This hands-on experience has taught me how to adapt to different temperaments, respect established household rules, and quickly recognize when a pet might be feeling anxious. As a special education teacher, patience, compassion, and structure are at the core of who I am—and I bring those same qualities into how I care for your pets.

“Amber was fantastic! She and Loki got along right away at the Meet-and-Greet, which we weren't sure about since he hasn't met many new folks since we brought him home from the shelter. We greatly appreciated the photos each day, and Loki seemed to enjoy Amber's company and evening pets. This was our first time booking a cat sitter, and we wouldn't hesitate to book with Amber again.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jobstown. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
