“Rebecca regularly watches our dog that has resource guarding tendencies. It is such a relief to us to have someone dependable and reliable - most importantly to feel confidence knowing that any potential issues will be safely handled. My dog is always so excited to see Rebecca, and you can tell they truly love each other.”
3. Carson G.
“Carson was absolutely fantastic! In all the pictures I could tell how happy my cats were and that they felt safe and comfortable. One of my cats is very shy and she was all over Carson! He really eased my mind about being away from them. I will definitely be rebooking with him, he did such a great job!”

About: While I’ve had pets of many shapes, sizes, and species since I was wee, I’ve been caretaking dogs, cats, rats, and birds for at least 25 of my 40 years. I’ve pursued a career in grooming to be able to work with dogs, and in that time I’ve learned exponentially more about reading and calming many types of dogs from giant St. Bernard’s and Newfoundlands to tea-cup poodles and chihuahuas, with border collies, shepherds, labs, mutts, and more mixed in. Every dog I have worked with has left considering me a friend, and many have decided that I’m their new favorite person, often “abandoning” their owners when they see me for their appointments. I specialize in “fear free” grooming, which basically means I let the dog tell me what they are willing to handle, and gently try to work them through the best groom possible; or necessary, as the situation may be. This is most important with both puppies still learning the big, wide world - and senior dogs, as they often need adaptive care as they age, developing sore spots and other age related issues… or just being old enough to be grumpy - and deserving thoughtful care because of it. I am also hypersensitive to individual needs of animals, and have accommodated many animals with specific dietary needs or medicinal care, always adhering to the schedule that their family has found best for the animal. When I house sit, I do my best to make it a mini-vacation for the pets, rather than a time that they’ve been separated from their family, which always makes for a positive homecoming. As a freelance groomer, I have control of my own schedule, and can offer extreme flexibility in my schedule to best accommodate individual needs with a reasonable amount of communication. While I do not have the ability to offer overnight pet sitting in my own home, my wife is handling the doggy daycare, and when in another’s home, I ask for detailed instructions on where to find and/or how to use everything the animal needs so I can ensure the least amount of disruption in the home as a whole. Depending on the needs, (check in vs. overnight, etc.), I will establish a plan with the owner to make sure their furry family is as well taken care of as if they were still home. If this means watching TV for an hour while I pet an animal on my lap, that animal gets all the pets and the TV is just a bonus to pass the time. If the animal needs active play, tell me what toys they prefer, and we will have the best time ever. I truly tailor the animal’s experience to their individual needs and circumstances.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old, I grew up with dachshunds and a German Shepherd. I got a beagle when I was 21 years old and he is now 10 years old and very spoiled. I have 2 sibling 1 year old basset hounds that I just added to the family and I love how much joy they have brought to us. My dogs are never crated, they free roam and sometime baby gated into one room when I am working so the 1 year olds don’t get into trouble. If you allow me to watch your dog, #1 it will be more comfortable for your dog to be in your home or in my home with one on one attention (rather than a boarding facility). #2 it’s cheaper this way. #3 I love dogs and it makes my job fun and exciting. I just graduated from NIC with a physical therapy assistant degree. I would love to pick up some days here and there watching dogs and making your life easier. I am starting my new career as a physical therapist assistant soon. So reach out to me and make sure my schedule meets you and your pets needs! If your dog is good with other dogs I can watch them at my home, otherwise I would have to watch them at your own home! I am working as a physical therapy assistant Monday through Friday 9-5pm. Available to tend to your babies before work and evenings, as well as weekends! I care for my clients pets usually in their own home and try to make them feel as comfortable as possible as that’s how I would want my dogs treated!

14. Stephanie R.
About: Hi, I’m Stephanie. It’s nice to meet you. :) I’ve had animals my whole life. From as young as I can remember I’ve had hands on every animal I could get close to. Growing up on a ranch in Wyoming I had dogs, cats, fish, and horses. In high school I spent my weekends and summers volunteering at our local vet clinic and working for my aunt as an assistant dog trainer. It was through these experiences that discovered my true passion for dog training. I have always tried to look at life as an opportunity to learn something new, and I endeavor to share that excitement for learning with every animal that I have the opportunity to work with. I hope to have the chance to meet you, and to get to know your animals. Thanks for considering me! I have control of my own schedule, and can offer extreme flexibility with my time. We just moved our family to the area, and are currently seeking to meet as many new furry friends as possible. I’m available most any time and would love to chat if you have any questions. While I do not have the ability to offer overnight pet sitting in my own home, when in another’s home, I ask for detailed instructions on where to find and/or how to use everything the animal needs, so I can ensure the least amount of disruption possible. For each of my clients, I will establish a plan to make sure their furry family is as well taken care of as if they were still home. I truly aim to tailor the animal’s experience to their individual needs and circumstances. For day-care purposes, I own my home, and have a yard enclosed by a 4ft chain link fence. My 1 year old border collie enjoys making friends, however if necessary he is crate trained and I am accustomed to rotating animals to ensure everyone gets their fair share of time with the humans.
