Growing up, my family had 13 dogs, so caring for them and being surrounded by animals was a significant part of my childhood. As I grew older, so did they, and unfortunately, most have since passed away. After moving to New Mexico three years ago, I quickly realized how much I missed having my furry companions around. That inspired me to begin providing pet care services through Rover. Since then, I have had the opportunity to care for many different breeds, personalities, and ages from small and large dogs to puppies and seniors. Becoming a pet sitter has truly been one of the most rewarding decisions I have made. A few months ago, I also began co-parenting a Miniature Schnauzer and. Shih Tzu with my sister, which has reminded me just how much I enjoy spending time with dogs, caring for them, and keeping them happy and entertained. I truly believe the saying that “a dog is a person’s best friend.” ❤️ Our pets may be one chapter of our lives, but to them, we are their whole story. As a sitter, my goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for while you are away. I understand how important routines are, so I do my best to follow your pet’s normal schedule and provide plenty of attention, companionship, comfort, and playtime. In addition to my personal and professional pet care experience, I became a certified dog trainer four years ago, giving me additional knowledge and experience in understanding canine behavior and working with dogs with different needs and personalities. I’m mainly a homebody, which allows me to spend plenty of quality time with the pets in my care. I’m currently a graduate student and attend school Monday through Thursday, but I’m typically only away for about 1–3 hours on those days. When pet sitting, I guarantee 8+ hours overnight and 4-8 hours during the day at the owner’s home, so your pets will have plenty of companionship, attention, and care throughout the day. I also work a part-time job on Friday and Saturday nights, when I’m typically away for approximately 5-7 hours. Outside of those hours, I’m home and able to dedicate my time to keeping your pets comfortable, entertained, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I am a dependable, trustworthy, and attentive pet sitter who understands how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I make it a priority to follow your pet’s regular routine and schedule as closely as possible, providing consistency and familiarity in your absence. Whether that means going on walks, playing, relaxing together, or simply giving them plenty of love and attention, my goal is to make sure your pet feels happy, comfortable, and genuinely cared for throughout their stay.

About: I have taken care of my own dogs/cats as well as families pets, I can create a big connection with animals, especially dogs, I have a big heart for all animals I’m currently a stay at home mom of a toddler and she loves animals just as much as me, walking dogs or having to go visit them would get us out of the house and we’re almost always free. I do have a little Banana Bread side business too. I have a fenced yard, 3 dogs (a saint bernard thats a bit older, a chihuahua and a blue heeler mix) and one cat, the cat is an outdoor cat. Our dogs haven’t been around too many other animals besides families dogs but once they meet new dogs and get to know each other they can get along well with them.

Blaise I've lived in Albuquerque most of my life, and like to travel when I can. I've been an artist for as long as I can remember, and this year have the means to be able to focus on doing art as my job. I want to see if I can be successful in this. So since I have a studio and can start to make my own hours, I can be flexible with caring for animals and making sure they get the care the need at the right time. I love animals but don't have any of my own, moving too much and traveling too much for it to make sense. But getting to care for others' animals, helping fulfill their needs is something I really enjoy and feel is mutually beneficial. I am willing to come and stay with the animal/s and make sure they get the care they need. I can walk dogs every day, will make sure they get food and water as needed, and can give medications.

About: I absolutely love dogs, and will treat your baby like mine. I got into this because finding good care for my dog is such a stressful experience as my tolerance for risk is extremely low. I am a nervous dog mom and will care for your pets like they are my own, they will be safe and secure with me and you will get as many updates as you would like. I’m available for boarding on the weekends as well as from Tuesday- Wednesday night. I work in ABQ as well so if you need someone to stay at your house during the week while you are on vacation I am happy to do that as well. In clients home I want to make sure I have a good understanding of their routine and behavior. Having a high level overview of your dog will help me care for them. A former roommates dog had a thing for people on skateboards so when we were on walks, I knew I needed to hold him tight as they were passing. Understanding your dogs quirks will help me care for them.

About: I had a lot of cats and dogs growing up, and I was the neighborhood dog sitter basically from the time I could ride a bike until I left for college. I know for many people today their pets are a furry part of the family, so I would treat them with the same love and care I give my cats and dobies, and make sure your animals are genuinely cared for while you are away. I know what it means to be a good and responsible sitter, and I can guarantee if you trust me with your pets you will not regret it! I'm offering drop-in sitting and dog walking, and I cannot wait to have the opportunity to meet your pets. I work full time, but am available outside of standard working hours to spend plenty of time with your pups! I have pets of my own so I know how important it is to spend time with them & make sure they are happy while you are away. When caring for pets, I always make sure to guarantee they have a comfortable and clean environment as well as plenty of play time (for their benefit & because I just love dogs!)

About: Hi, I’m Taylor! I have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages for family and friends over the years. I currently have a six year old cat that requires special care and attention, and I regularly take care of her senior cousin who requires daily shots. I am currently working on going back to school, so my schedule is pretty open right now to provide care for your little one. :) In my client’s home, I connect with the client to learn their routine. I take notes and ask questions to ensure I provide the care the client and pet is expecting from me. If the client desires, I’m happy to send pictures and updates during my stay!

About: With every house sitting or with ten dog walking sessions I will draw your pet! (No extra fee) I grew up with two kitties, Daphne and Velma (yes like Scooby Doo!) and one dog, Ruby. And now that I am an adult I have a high energy, silly kitty named Pearl! Growing up I was responsible for walking Ruby every day after school and on the weekends. I was also Velma's preferred human, she would join me while I did my homework and even when I left to college my mom would send me pictures of her on my pillow. (Daphne was a wall flower and stuck to herself for the most part haha) Pearl is my kitty with full energy! I play at least five times a day, 30 minutes each with her and I have been doing clicker training. She successfully has no issues with nail trimming, going to the vet, and is learning new commands. I enjoy hiking in the Sandia Foothills so I would love to take you doggie out there or in your local neighbor hood! I will match your furry friend's energy, so if they prefer to sit on the couch for cuddles, I am more than happy to do so! I am currently working part time working on my children's graphic novel pitch so I have plenty of availability to spend time with your fur baby! I have availability from 9am-10pm. On hotter days I prefer to walk your pups before noon or after 5pm evening so they don't overheat. I would love to meet your pet first before we work together (no charge). That way you can let me know of any health or behavioral concerns and your furry friend isn't scared when a stranger shows up! I let your pet dictate our interactions. (Holding out my hand for them to sniff, giving space if your kitty has, "airplane ears" or if your dog has a, "whale eye,"). I am also experienced in redirection, if your dog is barking I'll get the tennis ball going.

About: Mostly I’ve taken care of dogs and cats, including seniors, pups and kittens. I am sensitive to and will want to get them care if an emergency arises. I love to love them all. Presently I am flexible to meet pet parent needs. I do need 1 day notice for planning 🙂 and ensuring I am prepared for your pets. Presently I am able to provides services at your home only ( except for very young puppies and kittens who can stay with me if needed) -in your home I’m most familiar with cats and dogs. I am glad to keep your pets environment fresh during visits including waste clean up, hair brush or deshedding with your tools, refresh food, water bowls as needed. I will have non-toxic cleaners for hard surfaces if needed.

About: I’ve been taking care of family dogs my entire life! Love being the dog sitter I could only imagine how cool it would be to do it for a job?! I constantly take my dogs to the park! And I have a lot of free time as my work generously allows it he he 😋 I will take care of my clients home as if it was mine! My home is very pet friendly my dogs will love yours for sure!

About: I am a veterinary assistant that has been taking car of pet for at least 9 years. I started pet sitting for my family and neighbors pet. Then I whent to the pound walking and helped in the clinic. Then I became a veterinary assistant to help more animals. I am currently working full time 10 hour shifts with 3 days off a week. So I have 3 days to focus all my time with your pets. I have a full fenced yard. I have 1 lovely dog that is friendly and get along with other dogs. I also have a crate if you would like me to use that.
