About: I've done dog sitting for 9 years now and have experience with house sitting along with walking pets and doing a first meet before the scheduled date. I am also in nursing school. I currently am in nursing school (last year) since I am about to graduate I do have flexibility that is updated on my rover calendar frequently. About: For me, caring for animals has never felt like simply “pet sitting.” They are family—and when someone is trusting me with a member of theirs, I take that responsibility to heart. I’ve been caring for pets since I was 13 years old, and today I help care for my family’s lively crew of four dogs and two cats. Lots of love. My goal is simple: while you’re away, I want your pets to feel safe, comfortable, cared for, and loved—and I want you to feel at ease knowing someone is genuinely looking after them. I work from home, with either a daytime schedule of 10 a.m.–6 p.m. or an evening schedule of 4–11 p.m. This allows me to build pet care into my daily routine and make time for meals, bathroom breaks, play, and companionship. Being home is only part of it; paying attention matters just as much. Pets can’t tell us what they need in words, so I take time to notice their habits, body language, and little requests for attention. Whether that means a nudge for a bathroom break, an invitation to play, or wanting someone nearby, I care about learning how your pet communicates. I do have focused work periods, so we’ll discuss your pet’s routine and care needs before booking to make sure my availability is a good fit. This is especially important for older pets who may need more frequent check-ins or a particular schedule. I want to understand what a comfortable day looks like for your pet and how I can help keep it that way while you’re away. I start by learning the little things that matter to your pet: their familiar routines, favorite activities, where they like to rest, and how they let you know they need something. I follow your instructions for meals, walks, bathroom breaks, litter care, and rest, with time for play and affection on their terms. In your home, I keep your pet’s routine as familiar as possible and treat your space with care and respect. I let your pet get comfortable with me at their own pace, whether they’re ready to play right away or prefer a quieter introduction. Senior pets are especially close to my heart. Caring for my dog Shadow through his later years taught me the importance of patience, gentleness, and noticing small changes. I’m happy to move at an older pet’s pace, and we’ll discuss any health, mobility, or supervision needs beforehand so I can be clear about the care I can reliably provide. Our puppy had no accidents either in the house with her which is amazing while she still is still potty training. About: *Attention Students, Seniors (65+), and Veterans, please inquire about special rates when messaging me; Proof of veteran/student status required* I have taken care of dogs since childhood. Family and friends have always been able to rely on me when it comes to caring for their pets. My schedule is fairly flexible and can easily be adapted to their needs. While I usually require at least 24 hr notice for a booking, I am willing to accommodate you in the case of an emergency if I am able.For those who live within a 10 mile radius of me, I shall waive the pickup fee. Generally I follow whatever instructions are left and then add in a few enrichment activities. I also make sure they are introduced to the other members of my family so that they can feel comfortable with new strangers. I make sure that strangers do not attempt to pet my clients; this is for everyone’s safety the dog’s included.
