About: I’ve always loved being around animals and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’m responsible, attentive, and make sure pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. I’m happy to help with feeding, walks, playtime, litter boxes, medication if needed, and keeping pets on their usual routines. I enjoy spending time outdoors and making sure dogs get the exercise and attention they need. I treat every pet like my own and always make sure owners get updates and photos during visits. I’m available on Fridays and weekends, and I have plenty of time during those days to give your pets attention, walks, and playtime. I’m reliable and consistent, and I’ll make sure to stick to your pet’s usual routine so they feel comfortable and cared for. I have a fenced yard and experience being around dogs, so I’m comfortable with different personalities and energy levels. I focus on keeping pets safe with supervised time, secure spaces, and following any instructions you leave. I want your pet to feel relaxed, safe, and at home while they’re with me.

About: I have had animals of all kinds in my home since I can remember. I grew up believing I would become a vet; I instead pivoted into neuroscience, but my love of animals still remains! I grew up with a German shepard -Rottweiler mix which has given me a soft-spot for large breed dogs, but I love everything with four legs! I have been volunteering at animal shelters as a dog walker and foster home since I was 12 years old, giving me experience with a range of animal's temperments and needs. I am experienced with reactive dogs and shy dogs, and am happy to cater my skills to your animal's needs. Note: I am also a runner and would be happy to take your dog for a run if they are well-behaved on a leash. I am currently between jobs, so I am happy to cater to your schedule. About: Hello! My name is Karissa and I am a big animal lover. I've had dogs and cats my whole life, and have always enjoyed spending time with and caring for them. I have trained and competed in agility with my Australian shepherds, and I have worked with and trained dogs of all ages. I have also cared for and loved many cats (both my own and for clients and friends). When I played varsity polo for Virginia Tech, my team was charge of all aspects of care for our 16 horses during the school year. I have ridden and cared for over 100 horses since I was young. Through these experiences, I have administered medications, handled behavioral issues, fed a variety of foods, and cared for and diagnosed illnesses and injuries. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, cared for, and loved while their favorite people are away. Your pet should feel like they are on vacation too! Because I offer care in your home, I strive to ensure that you and your pets feel safe, respected, and cared for. I emphasize safety, privacy, cleanliness, and happy animals. Especially with the temporary change in caregiver, I believe it is extremely important to maintain the routine your pets are used to while you are away, with maybe a couple extra treats (with permission, of course) :) Above all, I adhere to the care rules and instructions given to me, because you know your pets better than anyone.

“Last time we went away, we used a non-professional catsitter who , due to a family emergency, was only able to visit once in 4 days. This time, we loved getting photos of our cat weaving her way between Em's legs, nuzzling her face, etc. during twice-a-day visits. We were so glad to know that our kitty was fed and watered and that she had used her litterbox and it was not filthy (the rest of the house was quite dirty and messy, and we are very sorry about that and grateful that our catsitter fulfilled her obligation despite that).
