About: Animals have been part of my life for over 40 years — from guinea pigs and rabbits to horses, I've handled and cared for pets of every size and temperament. I've spent that time training, observing, and learning what makes each animal tick, so I'm quick to read behaviour and adapt to an individual pet's personality, quirks, and needs. I don't have formal certifications, but I bring something just as valuable: decades of real, hands-on experience. I'll stick to your pet's established routine, reinforce the good habits you've already built, and give extra time and patience to seniors or anxious animals. Every pet in my care is treated as if they were my own — because to me, they are! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I'm able to check in, feed, walk, and play with pets throughout the day, with a longer walk and wind-down in the evening. I'm happy to adapt to a pet's existing routine, especially for feeding times, medication, or pets who need extra consistency. My home offers a safe, comfortable space for pets to relax alongside humans. I have a large, secure fenced back garden as well as a front garden, plus miles of quiet countryside roads and walks right on my doorstep — perfect for pets who love to explore or just need a good stretch of the legs. The house itself is big and cosy, giving pets plenty of room to settle in without feeling cramped. I also have my own dog, who's a big soft slob at heart — friendly, gentle, and great with people and other animals alike. She's a calming presence for visiting pets and is used to sharing her space. My mum's support dog is also part of the household, so any pet in my care grows up around a relaxed, animal-friendly environment.

“We were a little nervous about leaving our dog for the weekend as he is quite protective/ nervous dog - but having him minded in our own home made everything so much easier as he was much more comfortable at home. He was well looked after and we could tell he was completely comfortable and happy when we got back to him. It gave us such peace of mind knowing he was being cared for so well while we were away. Highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring and reliable dog minder. Thank you so much! We will be booking again in the future! 🥰”

About: I’m a full time teacher who has one dog, 8 cats and two birds. I also have experience with large parrots and lizards having had both for numerous years. Our cats are strays that we took in to take care of. I’ve taught many tricks to our birds and dogs, but our cats are tougher and mostly respond to their name or food 😂 As a teacher I have a lot of time every evening and weekend to feed and play with our pets. Dog gets fed every morning and evening, same for cats, and birds have fresh fruit and veg each day with seeds as treats and snacks Our pets mostly stay inside apart from some cats who are not comfortable staying indoors but are allowed in/ out as they wish, entirely up to them

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Enniscorthy on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per night (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting.
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.
House sitters can stay overnight in your home and care for your pets according to the routine you agree on before the booking.
Depending on your pets’ needs, this may include feeding, walks, play, companionship, medication, providing toilet or litter-box care, and keeping their usual schedule. Some sitters may also agree to light household tasks, such as collecting mail, watering plants, or putting bins out, but these are not automatically included.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss the sitter’s overnight schedule, how long your pets can comfortably be left alone, arrival and departure times, update preferences, and all tasks you would like to arrange. Confirm the agreed responsibilities through the Rover app before booking.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Enniscorthy choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
