House Sitting in Idyllwild-Pine Cove

About: I am a full time resident of Idyllwild with a 1/4 acre fenced backyard and access through our property to the Ernie Maxwell Scenic Trail. Some visitors to Idyllwild don't bring their canine companions on vacation to the area because they are unfamiliar with the wildlife and rural mountain surroundings. I offer a safe alternative to leaving beloved pets at home, crated or alone in a motel or cabin while visiting the area. We have access to a fenced 2.5 acre private estate (a.k.a. doggie playground) in which we let our canine guests romp with my girl Beezie, and her pup Nella! Car rides, creek walks, walkabouts in town and on the Scenic Trail are options for daily activities. I will customize the visit to meet your requests. A prior Meet-n-Greet play date assures a positive doggie vacay for all of the pups. Only one canine family at a time is hosted. You are assured that your best friend is getting abundant attention and joyful exercise. We can't wait to welcome you to the mountain! I find 4 legged creatures to be the best company and enjoy interspecies relationships. Always honest and real... The more people I meet, the more I love all hounds and felines! Even the persnickety ones. At this time, due to my eldest hounds vulnerability, I am not hosting Rover guests in my home. However, I will be reinstating the boarding/daycare option in the future. I will care for your beloved animals with the same consideration. Thank you.

About: I've cared for dogs of all ages (horses too!) since I was a kid. My dogs are seniors so I understand their particular needs well. I'm currently freelancing from home part-time and will have plenty of time to care for and play with your pets. Walks are part of boarding, of course. I have a fenced yard and two friendly, calm dogs to keep your pets company. I give my dogs homemade organic treats and will adhere to all rules you have about play, treats, walks, etc.

Experience pet-sitting, babysitting, house-sitting, waitressing, cleaning, and organizing. Some past roles include policy advocate for CALPIRG, field manager for Environment California, notary, accounting clerk, waitress, child caregiver, and volunteer for Ramona Humane Society animal shelter. I’m currently working part time in Hemet Monday-Thursday until 5pm. However, my job is extremely flexible and I am able to accommodate any schedule. Pets are always kept nearby, fed, groomed, healthy, and happy:) Feeding schedules met in a timely manner, personalizing play time to the specific pet, car available if transportation is needed.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life from small breeds like a corgi mix to a border collie and from raising puppies to full adult dogs, I have always been responsible for my family pets and I absolutely LOVE dogs. I currently have one dog right now that is a rescue :) I truly love being around dogs and understand how important it is for pet owners to feel confident that their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for. I am currently off for summer from college as a Pre-med student in Idaho! I am always available for your furry pets at any time, whether that’s the weekend or the weekdays I am here for the full summer! I will always ensure your dog is safe, comforted, and well taken care for in your home. I treat others pets like they are my own. I strive to keep their routine as normal and stress- free as possible when you’re away! Whether this means walks, playtime, or cuddles, or simply giving them company, i’ll give them plenty of attention and love :)

About: I have cared for large, medium, and small dogs for 12 years. I also have cat care experience. I studied animal science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, so I can also care for livestock and various species of animals more than cats and dogs as well. I have a BS degree in Animal Science and Agricultural Science, a master's in Agriculture and currently working on my doctoral degree. Currently, Fall 2024, for my day job I am a high school teacher who teaches classes in veterinarian sciences, livestock management, plant science and horticulture, floral design, and landscape design. I live up Highway 74 but travel to the Coachella Valley almost daily. I care for pets on my way to and from the Coachella Valley. I have a fenced backyard.
