“Alexys was wonderful with my cat, Ginger. Her drop in visits were right on time and she did everything I asked of her perfectly. Ginger is a very independent cat and can be a bit standoffish but she warmed up a bit during the first visits with Alexys, and I believe they will become good friends over time. I definitely hope to book her again soon!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life. My family dogs were small breed and now I have 2 large breeds and a cat. My dogs are both senior dogs and one gets medications twice daily. Nothing makes me feel better than seeing happy ears and happy tails. I’m here for the ones that just need company or the ones who need a break from being inside. I’m currently not working and I am studying for exams so I have open availability for the time being. I’m open to early mornings or late nights. Pets are their own individual beings and it’s important to care for each as they need and not fall into the collective mindset. I gain clues from being with the animal and always start slow and cautious to gain their trust. I always make sure pets are cared for, clean, and happy as can be.

“Emily was a godsend during our vacation in Ammon, ID. She was extremely flexible to our changing schedule, adapted to our dog’s needs depending upon timing and weather, and is an excellent communicator. She and her business partner are truly top notch and gave us peace of mind that our pup was in great hands. Thank you, Emily! I wish you lived near me and I would hire you all the time!”

About: I have been around animals my entire life. I have had mostly dogs. My kids are also very animal oriented. I have cared for praying mantis, hermit crabs, tortoises, cocktail, hamsters, cats, dogs, bunny. These are most of the pets I have cared for. Walking them, helping groom them feeding them and spending time with them. I have trained both my cat and my dog many commands. They both know sit, speak, the dog knows shake and can switch, the cat is learning. I just enjoy being around animals. If I could I would have many more, but that is why I am here, so I can visit with other animals. I am currently not working and just enjoy spreading time with my older kids and my pets. I have time on my hands and want to be with animals so I am doing this and lining into volunteer opportunities with the local shelters Right now because I have pets at home I would be willing to come to your home and take care of your animals. When my husband is home i would be willing to do overnights if needed

About: I love all animals like my own. I have had dogs and cats my whole life and their happiness and safety are my passion in life. I'm a stay at home mom. I maintain a happy clean home. I start and end my day taking care of my kids and my animals. I'm usually home all day to give your pets plenty of attention and care. I'm only away from home long enough to run errands or sports with my kids. I have a dog door for their bathroom convenience, a fenced yard with grass and plenty of shade. security cameras in doors and out side of my home. Living in a quiet safe neighborhood on the west side of Idaho Falls. I have a couple sizes of crates if needed but I will do what's most comfortable and familiar for your pets. Usually I prefer if they love to snuggle in my bed at night.

About: In my adult life I’ve boarded five dogs and up to three at one time. These dogs range in size from a goldendoodle to a shihtzu. I spend all day at home almost every day. This allows me to give dedicated and attentive care to the animals I care for. If you have a needy, clingy baby I can provide lots of snuggles! One of the dogs I’ve watched before was a senior which called for lots of diaper changes and patience. For the time being I am only providing services at your home. I am home all day almost every day, so I can be 100% dedicated to providing care. I can accommodate my day to your pup’s schedule! I have experience in both boarding and house sitting. I spend a lot of time lounging inside and outside. I enjoy the company of animals so I take them with me wherever I go! I sleep with the animals I watch (where appropriate). I can take your pet on short walks.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Idaho Falls
Frances was a great sitter for our dogs! She was willing to do multiple meet and greets beforehand and was super flexible when there was a miscommunication! She also did medication for two of our dogs, and gave us updates whenever she could. We would definitely ask Frances to watch our dogs again!

Amanda did a wonderful job taking care of our big dogs! She was flexible with me when my travel plans changed, and treated my precious puppos with sweetness and love. She was always punctual with her scheduled visits, and I loved the pictures in my Rover card after each visit. Highly recommended! We will definitely use her help again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Idaho Falls with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
