“I cannot express enough how grateful I am for Samantha!!! My mom lives in Aurora Mo and I live 9 hours away in Wisconsin, my mom ended up in the hospital and I had no one to go let her dogs out. Samantha answered my message for help in just minutes saying she could assist with taking care of the dogs. She was even able to let them out and feed them the SAME NIGHT as my distress message. Set up 2 more visits for the next day as well because my dad wouldn’t be home until later that night. Samantha made me feel so at ease with entering my mom’s house without meeting her, taking care of my mom’s dogs that are her babies and locking back up! I was grateful for the pictures she sent of them so I knew they did indeed go potty. I sent the pictures to my mom and she cried knowing they were being well taken care of. Samantha thank you for being my hero and taking such good care of Dezi and Rowdy while my mom was in the hospital on such extremely short notice!!”
About: I've had cats and dogs my whole life. I currently have 2 dogs. Am no longer able to have cats due to allergies in the family, so I am venturing out into cat sitting so I can fulfill my enjoyment of spending time with cats! Flexible, will work with you on the flexibility of doing drop in visits. Generally speaking Tues - Sat would be my primary availability. Just ask. About: I have had dogs since I was little I know the in and outs of raising puppies and kittens. My family currently has 4 dogs and 7 cats. We also have a ton of farm animals! I know how to take care of small animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, hamsters, and gerbils! I have been taking care of animals since I was 7 years old. I know how to break up potential dog fights and how to take extra caution while walking a reactive dog. I am an 18 year old college student, and I have a very flexible schedule! I am currently an unemployed college student so any time I don’t have class I’m available! Monday & Wednesday: 6am-9am, 11am-Noon, 1:30pm-Midnight Tuesday: 6am-11:45am, 2:15pm-Midnight Thursday: 6am-9am, 11am-Noon, 2:15-Midnight Friday-Sunday: 6am-Midnight I will only be able to care for your animals in your home, the dorms do not allow pets, but I am willing to take dogs out on adventures to different parks around the area if you are okay with them being in my car. I use a seatbelt leash for any dogs, I do not let pets be unrestrained in my vehicle but I am also willing to just take them on a walk around the neighborhood! I am able to come for any feeding times and just to let them out to go potty and run around the yard!

I naturally have a calm, peaceful presence, so I would be a great match for your anxious, senior, shy, low energy or more laid-back dogs or cats. What sets me apart is that I work remotely, which allows me to be present with pets throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long periods. This gives me the availability to respond to their needs, routines, and energy levels. I’ve had experience with animals for many years. I previously owned a black lab named Aurora, and I currently have an orange cat of my own. I also have regularly helped care for my mother’s two dogs — a Maltese Schnauzer and a Golden Retriever — and I’ve looked after my sister’s dog multiple times in the past as well. Animals tend to gravitate toward me because I pay close attention to their body language, boundaries, and personalities. I’m very mindful of their cues and comfort levels, which helps me understand what they need more or less from me. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I’d be happy to give your pet the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. If I’m housesitting, I’m practically readily available. I work a full-time remote job that would allow me to be present and handle the tasks needed to care for your pets. I would have time to see them in intervals multiple times a day with no problem and with plenty of time for play. But if I do drop in visits, I can do 2-3 drop in’s a day. 1st at 7:00-8:00a, 2nd at 11a-1:30p and 3rd at 4:30p-10p - depending on my work schedule and the daily demand. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat the space with the understanding that it is first and foremost your pet’s home and safe environment. I’m very respectful of both the home and the routines that your pet is used to. I keep the environment calm, clean, and consistent so your pet feels comfortable while you’re away. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and house rules. I aim to maintain the same peaceful atmosphere your pet is used to. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and cared for, while also treating your home with the same respect I would my own.
