“Yaina is so thoughtful and caring we will trust her with our pup anytime! She gave frequent updates and cared for our dog like her own. We cannot thank her enough for making the first time we left our dog for vacation absolutely stress free. Would and will recommend her to anyone.”

“Sara is a wonderful dog sitter, and I feel so lucky to have her taking care of Cosmo. She's incredibly thoughtful, caring, and attentive with him, and her whole family is amazing. Cosmo always has the best time with them! Sara is also extremely reliable and flexible, making everything so easy and stress-free for me. I couldn't recommend her more highly”

“Great sitter; accommodates your dog's needs very well, no matter how needy they can be. I had to extend the stay last minute, and they were very flexible with that too. I'd give 10 stars if I could!”

“Isabella was amazing with my two dogs while I was away. She kept me updated the entire time with lots of pictures and communication, which gave me so much peace of mind. She has such a loving and caring family environment, and my dogs were clearly very comfortable there — even my little nervous one. I am so grateful for the care she gave them and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, trustworthy, and attentive pet sitter.”

“Literally a staycation for our pup. Vanessa went above and beyond with everything !! We received pics and updates daily which put us at ease on vacation. A real home away from home for any dog lucky enough to get time with their family!”

“Danielle and her family are wonderful. It was important for us to find a clean, neat home to board our golden retriever at as he tends to pick up and eat small items. Danielle’s home is very clean and neat. We loved that she only took in very few dogs so we knew our dog would get a lot of attention, which he did. It was our first time leaving our dog with a non-family member and she was wonderful with communicating with us often via text and email. Our dog got along great with her dog, sassy who is also a golden. Danielle even administered my dogs ear drops while we were away so his ear infection could heal. Highly recommend Danielle and her family :) Also, we loved that our dog went on daily walks to get his energy out :)”

“What a lovely family. They took such wonderful care of my Blossom. Diana sent me photos throughout Blossom’s stay that left me feeling like I made a good decision leaving her with them. Thank you so much. I know who to call for my next vacation.”

“Kristen was a great sitter! She’s very responsive and easy to work with. She and her husband took great care of our puppy. She sent great updates and videos. We’d be happy to have Maggie stay with her again!”

About: My dog Winnie is 17, so I’ve had lots of experience as a pet carer! Even though Winnie is a small dog, I have experience pet sitting and walking large dogs. I work as an independent artist and bartender, so I have a flexible schedule that gives me availability to take care of your furry friend or feline when you’re working! I am available morning, evening and night on weekdays and morning and afternoons on the weekends. I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet by following their routine closely and giving them plenty of attention, care, and supervision. I understand how important trust is when caring for someone’s pet, and I treat every animal with patience, responsibility, and love.

“Marina & Denis are the best!!!!! Whitney had THE BEST TIME at her stay with them!! Denis sent us pictures and videos every day, and you can tell she was so happy!!! Our poor puppy was bitten by another dog the day before we were going to leave and had to get stitches and then stapled. Marina made sure she got her medicine and they took her with no problems. I was so worried leaving her after she just got stitches...but Marina & Denis took care of her and we got to enjoy our vacation. Seeing her in the videos made us relax and realized she was in AMAZING HANDS. Thank you so much!!! We are so lucky to have found you!!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Huntington
We had such a great experience with Annabelle watching our Luca! This was our first time leaving him with a dog sitter who wasn’t family or a close friend, and our first time using Rover. Annabelle made the entire experience so easy and reassuring. She had great communication from our initial meet-and-greet through the entire stay and sent us pictures of Luca throughout, which really put us at ease. Luca absolutely loved running around in her backyard and even got to sleep in bed with her, just like he does at home! It was clear that he was happy, comfortable, and very well cared for. Thanks again Annabelle!!

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
