“Vanessa and her family were the best care givers for our golden ! I was updated daily with photos and videos. He didn’t have any problems eating and drinking which means he was very comfy and happy in the home. The children played with him. He came home very happy, it actually took a little pushing of the tush to get him out the door because he loved it there so much. You would not be disappointed if you chose this family to watch your pet!”

I am so grateful for the care she gave them and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, trustworthy, and attentive pet sitter.”

“Danielle was wonderful with our two 7 month old puppies. We were nervous to leave them for the first time but she put our minds at ease. She knew how to comfortably acclimate our dogs to her home. They were very attentive to my dog’s needs and even with other pups that were there, they made sure mine were taken care of properly. About: My dog Winnie is 17, so I’ve had lots of experience as a pet carer! Even though Winnie is a small dog, I have experience pet sitting and walking large dogs. I also love cats and have welcomed them into my home to cat sit over the last several years. I work as an independent artist and bartender, so I have a flexible schedule that gives me availability to take care of your furry friend or feline when you’re working! I am available morning, evening and night on weekdays and morning and afternoons on the weekends. I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet by following their routine closely and giving them plenty of attention, care, and supervision. I understand how important trust is when caring for someone’s pet, and I treat every animal with patience, responsibility, and love.

“Once again picked up Ollie healthy and happy. Very grateful that Denise is reliable and available! Ollie was recovering from some dental work and Denise was able to accommodate some more challenging feeding and medicine needs. Thank you!!”

“Thomasina was amazing at caring for our dog Lila! From the moment Lila first entered her home, she was calm and at ease and we knew she'd have a wonderful stay. We got plenty of adorable pictures and updates! Thanks for taking such great care of our girl!”

About: I’ve been a dog mom to a puggle and beagle for over 20 years. With that, I have experience with high energy and sneaky personalities! As both babies entered their senior years, I was responsible in caring for their medical needs. My sweet daughter, Ruby (the beagle in picture), recently crossed over the rainbow bridge and my home and soul has not been the same. I am not ready to fill the void with my own fur baby as of yet, but ready to share my love to others. I work remotely as a social worker 5 days a week, so your baby would have plenty of attention. I have my own car and can drive for any emergencies that may arise. Please note that I will respond to messages that are received between 9AM-10PM. I make every effort to respond within 30 minutes. However, if you do not hear from me immediately, please allow me the time to reply as I will never ignore a message. I work remotely from home, so I am flexible with caring for your fur baby in my home. With walks, I am available in the afternoon and evenings with advance notice. Important 📝: Upon booking, I will ask for a meet and greet at a neutral spot. This can be at a dog friendly cafe, a park, and/or the front and then backyard at my home to reduce any stress. For privacy and safety reasons, there will be a limited (only view certain areas) in-home tour until the booking has been finalized. I have a fenced yard if your fur baby likes to run around off leash. I would also take them on walks and/or play with them according to preferences. I have no children or other fur babies in the home but if your baby is open to children, I have two nieces and a nephew who loves dogs that are willing to share their affection!
About: Hi! I’ve had dogs my whole life and truly love caring for them. I understand every dog has their own personality and routine, and I’ll make sure your pup feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’ll treat them like my own! 🐾 I do most of my work from home so I am available most days at any time to help out with any dog activities you need! Open to weekdays and Weekends. I love finding new areas and parks for long walks and open space. Our apartment is very clean and has space for any pet to rest and get comfy.
“Michelle was wonderful. I have two Yorkies that love everyone but each other. She handled them with a breeze. She was excellent with picture updates. The care provided by Michelle was awesome and gave me great peace of mind. I look forward to bringing the girls back. Thanks again for the excellent service.”

Caroline was amazing with our pup! Not only was she able to fit us in last minute when we were in a pinch, but she made my pup feel so at home in her home while we were out of town. Not having to worry about your pup while you’re out of town because you know they are being cared for and loved by someone makes it so much easier to go away.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
