“Abby was great and Maisy loved her! Normally she has separation anxiety and I don’t even think she missed us! She definitely kept her busy while we left our campsite at Catherine’s Landing to go zip lining. Plus, she was available at the last minute and on a holiday! We camp here a lot and will definitely use her again so we don’t have to leave Baby Maisy at camp alone.”

About: Throughout my life, I've cared for several dogs, including one that battled lymphoma. This experience has honed my skills in providing specialized care for pets with medical needs, including administering medications, accommodating physical limitations, and showering them with love and cuddles. My love for animals extends to my own furry companions, as I currently share my home with four dogs. Living on a farm provides them with ample space to roam and explore, enriching their lives with outdoor adventures and a natural environment that they thrive in. Pet care is seamlessly integrated into my daily and weekly routine, thanks to my remote and flexible job. I have the freedom to adapt my schedule to accommodate the needs of my furry friends, ensuring they receive the attention and care they deserve. Whether it's morning walks, playtime in the afternoon, or cuddle sessions in the evening, I prioritize their well-being as an essential part of my day. This flexibility allows me to tailor my time and activities to meet their individual needs, creating a harmonious balance between work and pet care that enriches both my life and theirs. In both my home and my clients' homes, I prioritize the well-being and happiness of the pets entrusted to me. At my own home, I have a fenced-in yard where my four pups can enjoy regular exercise and playtime. They also receive treats frequently as a reward for good behavior and as a special treat. Two of my pups are particularly attached and love to follow me around, so they receive extra love and attention throughout the day. When caring for pets in clients' homes, I ensure that they have a comfortable and safe environment, sticking to their routines as closely as possible to minimize stress. Regular walks, play sessions, and lots of affection are essential components of my pet care routine, ensuring that every furry friend feels loved and cared for during their time with me.

“Leah is an outstanding dog walker. She easily handled not one but two dogs that are XL. Cassie & D'Artangnan's combine weight is nearly 200lbs! I prefer that they are walked together as that is how I normally do with them, before I injured my knee. Leah was eager to try it the 1st day, and did an amazing walk handling then simultaneously, that is not easy because one walks quickly & the other has a slower pace. She is loving and thoughtful with the dogs and takes incredible pictures. I Highly recommend her for dog walking and plan on hiring her for dog sitting as well.”

About: Registered veterinary nurse with over 20+ years caring for animals, 12+ in a professional and clinical setting. I have worked in small animal practices as well as Emergency/ICU and have medical experience with species of all kinds! I am a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator with AKC, and I am also licensed with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission as a wildlife rehabilitator (since 2019) Aside from working with native wildlife, I have personally owned a variety of pocket pets and exotic animals throughout the years and would be comfortable providing care for additional animal species, as needed! I am certified to teach canine and feline CPR & First Aid both to the public and to veterinary professionals (offered as approved RACE CE credit), and I am certified with FEMA through their “Animals in Disaster” preparedness course. I am proficient not only in identifying and interpreting canine and feline behavior (as well as other species), but I also have the advantage of medical insight. I often will notice things about your pet that perhaps you haven’t even noticed yet, or maybe didn’t realize was a concern. I was blessed with good intuition, and this has aided me greatly in my career with animals! Through years of working emergency medicine, I have become highly effective in triage methods and will know immediately what to do and how quickly to do it, should your pet encounter any type of emergency (trauma, toxicity, snake bite, heat stroke, neurological incident, etc.) I am comfortable administering medications through PO, SQ, IM, and IV routes, as needed or directed by a veterinarian. I am comfortable manually expressing bladders in both dogs and cats, and providing ambulatory support for pets needing assistance. Some of my clients wear doggy diapers and I am comfortable managing those, as well. I can provide basic wound care, bandage care, and give extra attention to pets needing any type of dietary assistance. My special skill in clinic was getting sick pets to eat, I am very good at it! In addition to the medical aspect, I also strive to support a healthy emotional environment. I will provide adequate and reasonable boundaries to ensure your pet is being respected, but also not letting them take advantage of the “new person!” I’m not going to overload them with treats or feed them extra just because they’re giving me the cute puppy eyes! If your pet is not allowed on the couch at home or when you’re away, I won’t allow that either. I truly understand the full-circle effects of how we treat our pets and strive to maintain high expectations when I’m responsible for any animals care. I am an open highway as far as communication goes and am happy to meet to needs and expectations for each client and family, custom to each pet. My schedule is very flexible. I took a break from working in a hospital setting in 2021 to complete my Bachelor's degree. Since then I have primarily worked from home but I maintain a current CVT license with the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Board. Working from home allows me the ability to accommodate boarding requests both in my home, or in yours. I can accommodate consistent and reliable walks or check-in visits throughout the week, and even last-minute requests. Your pets will be treated as part of the family whether in my home, or in yours! They will get extra love and attention and be pampered and played with constantly. I enjoy taking pictures and videos of your pet, and will check in often regarding their care! In addition to being attentive to your furry-family members needs, I will care for your home as if it is my own. I will clean, check mail, collect packages, water plants, etc. so when you get home, you will have nothing left to worry about except enjoying time with your fur baby! Prior to my departure I will clean thoroughly and make sure your home is in tip-top shape for your arrival! I work from home and am able to take my work with me, which makes my schedule very flexible! Holidays and weekends are flexible, as well. Last minute requests? No problem! Safety is my top priority. Pets will be diligently monitored. Doors will be kept shut, gates will be secured, and dangerous items will be kept out of reach. Your home will be cared for as if it was my own using the Girl Scout Code of, “leaving it better than you found it” as the core principle for my services. :)
About: I took care of my boys for just over 14 years, twin Shih Tzu’s, they were the loves of my life. They taught me more patience and much more research especially when they became seniors and required medications. After their passing I’ve been honored to take care of others fur babies, 3 goldens + 1 king cavelier and another’s cat. I loved every minute of spending time, walking, playing and even just sitting with them for company. I’m currently working part time and am flexible to help out with your fur babies whether you need someone to stop by for a few hours or need someone to watch them overnight. I will, with your instructions, care for your pet(s) just as you would. Currently I am unable to care for them in my own home.
About: I am a lifelong animal lover. In lieu of a car, all I wanted for my 16th birthday was a puppy. 12 years later, Emmie is still my little sidekick, & truly ignited my passion for being a friend to all animals. I’m currently available for drop in visits on weekends. You won’t have to worry about your furry friends getting lonely while you are out working or playing. I am happy to drop in to provide belly rubs, head scritches, fresh water, & meals if needed, all while keeping your pets safe & your home secure.
About: I feel a strong connection to animals. & really enjoy spending time with them & caring for them. Seeing a pet happy, makes me happy also. I’m pretty flexible with my schedule & would like the opportunity to help some clients on a regular basis if they have the need for a routine. I do believe in keeping pets safe. I don’t allow any pet I am caring for to walk off leash, unless we are in a safe fenced area.
