About: I have had dogs since I was 15 years old. I have taken care of them myself in house basically my whole life. I love cuddling with my dogs and don't mind them laying beside me on furniture. I have trained lots of puppies potty duties and crate training. I have had a bunch of senior dogs. I am a nurse by trade, so if your fur baby needs meds, I am definitely the one who can give it to them! I can't wait to meet your baby! I am currently retired nurse who stays home basically all the time. If I do have to leave, it is usually only for a couple of hours. I do not have a fully fenced yard, but I do have a fenced area behind the house that I can put the fur babies in to do their business and get some exercise. If they do not need to be contained, I have 5 acres that they can run and play.

Some of my clients wear doggy diapers and I am comfortable managing those, as well. I can provide basic wound care, bandage care, and give extra attention to pets needing any type of dietary assistance. My special skill in clinic was getting sick pets to eat, I am very good at it! In addition to the medical aspect, I also strive to support a healthy emotional environment. I will provide adequate and reasonable boundaries to ensure your pet is being respected, but also not letting them take advantage of the “new person!” I’m not going to overload them with treats or feed them extra just because they’re giving me the cute puppy eyes! If your pet is not allowed on the couch at home or when you’re away, I won’t allow that either. I truly understand the full-circle effects of how we treat our pets and strive to maintain high expectations when I’m responsible for any animals care. I prefer that they are walked together as that is how I normally do with them, before I injured my knee. Leah was eager to try it the 1st day, and did an amazing walk handling then simultaneously, that is not easy because one walks quickly & the other has a slower pace. I have off on mondays and Wednesday every week and my shifts are usually 4-6 hrs and sometimes 8 hrs Also my schedule changes every week (so if your pet needs to be let out every 4 or hours I will need probably a 2 week notice before the booking would start!) Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
