“Mel was fantastic and went above and beyond to care for our fur babies while we were away for a week. The house was clean and cared for as well, so we did not come back to any pet messes when we returned.”

“Jazmine is great! She was a big help with my two pups over a busy holiday weekend. She was very easy to communicate with, provided lots of photos and detailed notes, and treated my pups like her own. I will definitely hire her again as needed!”

“Victoria did such a wonderful job with my puppy! There was a throw up accident in his crate and she maintained amazing communication and cleaned everything up so well ensuring my house was left in wonderful condition! She sent wonderful pictures and my puppy had so much fun during the visit! I recommend her to anyone who is looking for a dog sitter! :)”

“Amy is very reliable and responsive. She sends daily updates and photos which gave me so much peace in mind knowing my cat was in good hands. I highly recommend her and would book her again.”

“Alex is so great! He plays with the kitties and send pics and they seem well taken care of and so does the house! I feel so much better knowing Alex is there for the little monsters!”

“Abbi, was thorough and followed every instruction I asked her to do with my senior special needs pup. She was also extremely flexible, which we needed unexpectedly. She provided me an update and I knew my boy was being taken care of. With him being special needs I need someone to be attentive to every detail of his care, she was and she put my mind further at ease when she followed up with me without asking. We will use Abbi again.”

“Shannon is so attentive - meeting the needs of our cat. She is prompt and highly communicative. Would recommend using Shannon to pet sit anytime and will definitely use her again. Thanks, Shannon!”

“Caitlyn was awesome in taking care of our elderly cat. She was dependable and took care of our cat as if it was her own. We highly recommend her and will be calling on her again.”

About: As a lifelong animal lover, I know that your dog isn't just a pet—they’re family. My goal is to give your pup the same level of love, attention, and structured care that you do. Whether your dog needs a high-energy brisk walk to burn off steam, a gentle stroll around the neighborhood, or just some midday companionship, I’m here to help. I pride myself on being incredibly reliable, punctual, and communicative. You can always expect timely updates, fun photos from our walks, and the peace of mind that your home and pet are in safe hands. I can't wait to meet your furry friend and become their new favorite walking buddy! I work full-time remotely and have a flexible schedule to help fit your needs. I'm available after 9AM weekdays (after 11:30 AM on Wednesdays and Fridays due to prior commitments) through the evenings. Weekends are fairly open❤️ I'm dedicated to providing safe, fun, and reliable exercise for your furry best friend. From neighborhood loops to energetic park strolls, I treat every dog like my own.
About: I will spoil your dogs like I do mine! They will be entertained and loved throughout their stay! I do have 2 furry children (Chihuahua and Aussie) that get along with other dogs. We spend a lot of time outside playing ball and frisbee! We live on a farm and have plenty of land for them to run around! I will make sure they are comfortable and taken care of! My Chihuahua-Terrier “Charlie” was a rescue. He’s your typical “yappy” Chihuahua that I said I would never have but I couldn’t leave him homeless! My Aussie is energetic and is always looking for a playmate! Can’t wait to meet them! Our dogs are on a schedule but sometimes we spend more days outside than in depending on the weather. They will always be watched and never left alone! I live on over 3 acres and have a huge fenced in field where we go to play and potty! They have plenty of room to play and are always accompanied outside. We only crate if that is part of their routine. We are up early every morning (life of living on a farm!) Our Aussie loves to play until the sun goes down. Our animals typically eat the same time everyday. I feel it’s important to keep your animals on a consistent daily routine! I care for our guests the same as I care for my own dogs. They will be in a loving and calm household while they are here.
About: I’ve had the pleasure of working with many different animals my whole life and knew it would be my profession at a young age. From growing up on a farm to now being a veterinary technician and still wanting my side job to be caring for your pets I think it’s safe to say I love what I do and really take pride in making a positive impact on every living creature I meet. Having my knowledge in animal health really helps put my pet parents mind at ease knowing everything from feeding/ walking / playing and lots of love to hygiene/ administering meds/ monitoring for some of our older fur babies can be taken care of ! I have been a stay at home mom sense my daughter was born , I have full time child care allowing me to easily schedule for your animal care needs. Feel free to reach out with any questions and concerns about scheduling In your home I will always care for your pets as instructed by you, with respect for your property. I will ensure your home remains as you left it and your pets needs are more then met.
“Chelsea did a wonderful job! She was greeted with a puke mess on the carpet to clean up. So sorry about that! Sienna did well--as much as she does when I'm gone. I'm sure she enjoyed getting out for a walk.”

About: I’m the family pet sitter because not only do I follow their routine but I make sure my sweeties are loved and entertained. I’m a nursing assistant part time so I have loads of hospitality experience! I’m a nursing assistant part time I’m usually working weekends which makes me more available during the week to stop by or even sit and entertain your sweeties! I don’t have a fenced backyard and my pup is a little feisty so i’d prefer to come to them but that just allows your pup to stay in the comfort of their home and again I have experience with doing drop ins for plenty of my family & friends!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,132 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Horseshoe. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Horseshoe. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
