Michael is heaven sent. My boy, Weitzman, is a senior special needs pup. He needs a great deal of care and attention and not just any sitter is willing to take on the extra attention and work that’s needed. Michael enthusiastically has bonded with Weitzman and is giving Weitzman the close attention and care he needs. As a result, I have peace of mind that my baby is doing well, is safe, and is being properly cared for. I highly recommend Michael. He wants to get to know what your fur baby’s needs are so he can take good care of them. Thank you Michael for looking after my boy!

About: I am trained in Fear-Free and worked at an animal shelter for 3 years. You can rely on me to give medicine and provide typical daily care such as ear cleaning and nail trimming if desired. In addition, I will walk your pet as needed and provide socialization and enrichment. I am a mom of 2 dogs and 4 cats in addition to my own children. My furbabies are always taken care of as soon as I wake in the morning and multiple times throughout the day. I have high expectations for the care of my own pets that I will carry over into the care of any pets in my care. I will provide the care and love you want for your pet while they are being cared for by me. They will receive top-notch love and oversight in their own environment so that they can feel comfortable and at ease.

Chelsea did a wonderful job! She was greeted with a puke mess on the carpet to clean up. So sorry about that! Sienna did well--as much as she does when I'm gone. I'm sure she enjoyed getting out for a walk.

About: Hi! I currently have a boxer/shiba Inu and a rescue puppy. My boxer/shiba went through an intensive training program where I was taught how to train a dog as well so I’m great with dogs. I love dogs (maybe more than people lol) and whenever there’s a dog around me my heart melts and I just want to play with them and take care of all the pups!! I am currently a teacher and work Monday-Friday. I walk and/ or feed the pets I’m worked with before work and then again after work as well as play time. In the weekends I’m home all day long as well as in the summer months. I care for all animals as if they were my own. All animal get attention, scheduled meals, and exercise. I also have gates to separate animals if necessary.

Victoria has been our regular petsitter while we work. Our Cavalier, Louie, loves her! She is great with our dog, and has excellent communication with me. Victoria is always flexible if changes in our weekly schedule occur. She always informs me if something comes up and we need to adjust the days she pet-sits Louie. Victoria has such a special way with animals. I highly recommend her.

About: Hi! My name is Olivia, and I’ve been caring for dogs and animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up around pets gave me a natural love for animals, and over the years I’ve helped care for dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I have experience with walking, feeding, playtime, administering medications, and maintaining each pet’s normal routine to help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. What sets me apart is the genuine love and care I give every animal. I treat every pet like family and truly enjoy spending time with them, whether that means long walks, playing fetch, or simply keeping them company in their home. I currently have a very open and flexible schedule while I wait to begin my career as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant in late August. Because of this, I’m able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pets throughout the day. My flexible availability allows me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, overnight stays, and last-minute scheduling needs whenever possible. I love staying active, so spending time outdoors walking and caring for dogs is something I genuinely enjoy during this transition period before starting work. Providing a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment for pets is my top priority. I understand how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet in someone else’s care, and I always strive to create a calm, dependable, and comfortable experience for both pets and owners. I live in a pet-friendly environment with plenty of safe areas for walks and outdoor time, and I carefully follow each owner’s home instructions regarding routines, medications, feeding schedules, and special needs. I’m attentive, responsible, and communicative, and I’ll always make sure your pet receives the love, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away. 🐾

Randi was awesome! I don’t often leave my dog so I was fairly nervous to use a stranger. However, she came by while I was here to meet my dog, and watching her with him immediately put me at ease. We have already booked another session with her!

About: Please ask to see my Trusted HouseSitter profile for additional reviews and information! I provide pet care in Richmond and Charlottesville and the surrounding areas, though I am also happy to travel to other states with advanced notice. I have a breadth of experience caring for my former pets and my home, as well as house and pet sitting for friends and for my clients. I grew up on a farm and cared for goats, horses, cows, dogs, cats, sheep, and poultry. I make an excellent house/petsitter due to my experience with and love for animals and my tidy and loving personality! ** I charge $45 / night for 1-6 night house stays, but have a sliding scale for longer sits (negotiable at the time of request). I am open to traveling farther distances for 1+ week sits. I am attending VCU for my MSW M-F from 8-4, so I have limited availability for midday potty breaks/check-ins during the week, but I have open availability most evenings and weekends. For boarding requests, my partner works from my home and is available to offer potty breaks/check-ins for pets while I’m at school. I’m happy with staying overnight for housesitting or sharing my home for boarding! I have the utmost care and respect for my clients pets and homes and treat them as if they were my own. About: Hi! I’m Gabby — a pre-veterinary Animal & Poultry Sciences student with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages and needs. Animals are my whole life, and I treat every pet like my own. What sets me apart: • Shadowed veterinarians, gaining safe handling and health-monitoring skills • Experienced Golden Retriever breeder (whelping, neonatal care, tube feeding, CPR) • 3+ years of professional pet sitting with strong references • Puppy specialist — raising and training puppies is part of my daily life • Extensive senior & special-needs experience — I’ve cared for my own senior and special-needs pets, so I understand mobility support, slow routines, medication schedules, cognitive changes, anxiety, and gentle handling • Volunteer at my local animal society • Animal science & pre-vet coursework (behavior, nutrition, health, genetics) • Dog owner, so I value structure, safety, and emotional support I’m confident with dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments — from energetic puppies to older pets who need extra patience and care. You’ll get reliable communication, detailed updates, and truly personalized attention. Your pet will be safe, loved, and treated with the same compassion I give my own. Excited to meet your pet! 💛🐾 ⭐ My Daily Routine Pets fit naturally into my day. I start with morning feeding, meds (if needed), and a potty break or litter refresh. I only have one class a day, so I’m home most of the time to give walks, playtime, enrichment, and supervision. Throughout the afternoon and evening, I’m with the pets—doing walks, cuddles, behavior reinforcement, and keeping their space clean and comfortable. At night, I do final potty breaks/litter care, give any meds, and settle pets into a calm routine. Your pet is with me nearly all day, getting consistent care, attention, and love. In Your Home: I follow your routines exactly—feeding, walks, meds, and crate or free-roam preferences. I keep doors locked, maintain a clean environment, and make sure pets always have fresh water, a safe space to relax, and enrichment throughout the day. I send regular updates and photos so you always know your pet is safe. In My Home: Pets have a clean, pet-proofed space with supervised indoor time, enrichment, cuddles, and frequent potty breaks. I use slow introductions, low-stress handling, and separate areas if needed for shy or senior pets. I monitor behavior and health closely and maintain a calm, positive environment. I treat every pet with the same care, structure, and attention I give my own animals. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and trust always come first.

About: I've been caring for animals since I was 7 years old, and my love for pets has only grown over the years. As an adult, I worked at an animal shelter, where I gained hands-on experience caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities, needs, and backgrounds. I have also adopted and cared for three dogs of my own throughout every stage of their lives, from energetic puppies to senior dogs requiring extra patience, attention, and specialized care. This experience has given me a strong understanding of daily pet care, administering medications, recognizing changes in behavior, and providing the love and comfort pets need to feel safe and happy. I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your furry family members. Whether your pet needs a long walk, playtime, companionship, or extra attention due to age or special needs, I am committed to providing reliable, compassionate care while you're away. I am currently in between jobs, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to provide your pets with the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. Whether your furry family member enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I can tailor my care to their individual needs and routine. As a lifelong pet owner with experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, I understand how important it is to ensure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. From energetic puppies and playful kittens to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care, I am committed to treating every animal as if they were my own. I have a fully fenced backyard with a 5-foot chain-link fence, providing a safe and secure space for your pet to play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. I do not have neighbors directly adjacent to my yard, so there is minimal concern about pets being distracted or stressed by animals on the other side of the fence. I am a lifelong animal lover and currently share my home with a senior dog, whom I've raised since she was 8 weeks old, and a young cat who has been part of our family since he was 8 weeks old as well. Having cared for pets through every stage of life—from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets requiring extra attention—I understand that every animal has unique needs and routines. When your pet stays with me, they will be treated like a member of the family. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where they can feel at home while you're away. I personally allow my pets on the furniture, but I fully respect each owner's preferences. If your pet has specific rules, routines, feeding schedules, medication needs, or restrictions, just let me know and I will be happy to follow them to ensure consistency and comfort during their stay. I believe communication is important, so I am also happy to provide updates, photos, and messages while your pet is in my care, giving you peace of mind knowing they are safe, happy, and well loved.

About: Recently moved to RVA. I've taken care of cats all my life and dogs from time to time. From back when I was a teen at home with our family cat to ones of my own I've been caring for cats all my life. I have a deep understanding of cat body language, respecting their boundaries, and providing the attention and care they need. I work from home as a software developer and am looking for something to break up my day between calls and project tasks. Being a remote worker means I don't get much excitement day to day. Let me change up my day to day by helping you out with your pets! I live in my own home with plenty of space for walks, trails nearby for exploring, and an open and clean home for time away from the sun.

About: I've grown up caring for a variety of animals in my home as well as working with various shelters like RSPCA and BARK over the years. I love all creatures and adore catering to each animal. I value unique care based on each fur baby's personality and needs. My schedule is quite flexible currently! I can take same day bookings. Currently, I work with animals in between talent bookings as a SAG actress. I'm basically a stay at home mom who loves fur babies. In my own home I am on the third floor so, walking and potty breaks are around my complex. Theyre strict about breeds here unfortunately, but that also limits other dog exposure(if your doggie baby happens to not enjoy other dogs). I do currently have one 2 year old calico cat in home. She is shy and sweet. I additionally have a son who is happy to have fur baby guests and responsible about pet safety as well.

Lauren is great! We had a mixup on the first morning time but she honestly apologized. She came each time requested other than that morning and was awesome with my 3 dogs. My dogs are not the easiest to take care of (I have a 17 year old blind one who wears diapers) but Lauren was a champ and cleaned up messes. I will use her again for my next trip.
