About: I am trained in Fear-Free and worked at an animal shelter for 3 years. You can rely on me to give medicine and provide typical daily care such as ear cleaning and nail trimming if desired. In addition, I will walk your pet as needed and provide socialization and enrichment. I am a mom of 2 dogs and 4 cats in addition to my own children. My furbabies are always taken care of as soon as I wake in the morning and multiple times throughout the day. I have high expectations for the care of my own pets that I will carry over into the care of any pets in my care. I will provide the care and love you want for your pet while they are being cared for by me. I’ve worked at a veterinary clinic as an assistant, as well as a kennel tech & adoption coordinator for animal control. If you’re going out of town or just need someone to watch your babies for a bit don’t hesitate to contact me! I will send lots of updates and pictures. I have lots of experience in animal handling & husbandry, as well as behavior. Comfortable with a wide variety of species & breeds. I’m currently working part-time so my schedule is pretty flexible! My busiest days are Friday & Saturday at the moment. Available for early morning visits, afternoon, and evening. My currently have a small house so limiting boarding, more comfortable for a crate-trained smaller dog - as I have 4 cats. I am comfortable with doing check-in’s and popping in for walks & play/feeding so that your fur babies’ routine isn’t interrupted.

I have a breadth of experience caring for my former pets and my home, as well as house and pet sitting for friends and for my clients. I grew up on a farm and cared for goats, horses, cows, dogs, cats, sheep, and poultry. I make an excellent house/petsitter due to my experience with and love for animals and my tidy and loving personality! ** I charge $45 / night for 1-6 night house stays, but have a sliding scale for longer sits (negotiable at the time of request). I am open to traveling farther distances for 1+ week sits. I am attending VCU for my MSW M-F from 8-4, so I have limited availability for midday potty breaks/check-ins during the week, but I have open availability most evenings and weekends. For boarding requests, my partner works from my home and is available to offer potty breaks/check-ins for pets while I’m at school. I’m happy with staying overnight for housesitting or sharing my home for boarding! I have the utmost care and respect for my clients pets and homes and treat them as if they were my own. I make sure to communicate expectations as best as possible to make sure we’re all on the same page.
