When I came back from my trip and picked my cats up from her, I had a hard time getting them back in their carrier! They didn't want to leave! I was so happy that my cats felt comfortable with Susan. About: I frequently dogsit for friends and family, and I've had my soul-dog for 5 years! She's a rescue shepherd-husky mix and has taught me SO much about training and caring for a smart, high-energy dog! She's entering her senior years and has slowed down a lot, which means I have more time in my day to care for other pups, whether it's a check-in, walk, or boarding in my home. I have a fenced front and back yard, and with my location in Church Hill, there are countless places to walk and explore. I currently work from home 95% of the time! The other 5% is a mix of working at coffee shops and going in to my work's coworking space, but I'm never away from home for more than 8 hours a day. My days are very flexible and I'm happy to work around you and your pup's schedule! I have a fenced front yard that is grassy and a shady, fenced back patio/yard that pups can run around in. I only take 1 boarding or day-care client at a time, so your dog gets my full attention (alongside my pup!). Your dog must be friendly around other dogs for boarding or day care.

I worked for veterinary services specializing in boarding care for 8 years through out schooling -Will ensure your home is left in the condition received with minimal housekeeping (will take trash out and clean up any pet accidents they may have due to medical conditions. Additional requests can be discussed with or without additional pricing) -Our commitment is to ensure your pets safety, emotionally and physically as if they are our own -Regular updates will be provided streamlining communication -I choose Rover over other traditional “2nd jobs”, because I want to enjoy the work we do! Looking forward to meeting you and your fur babies! I have a full-time job, however, remotely!! This allows one person at all times to care for your pets, during most hours! My personal break(s) will be scheduled based on both client and provider agreed upon schedules. For example: after evening pet care, there will be a 2-4 hour provider break for dinner and family time before returning for overnight care. Home has pvc wood vinyl for easy mess clean up. The yard is flat and fully fenced in. Warmer weather will have plastic kiddo pools for dogs to cool off. If your dog weighs more than 85 pounds, I require dogs to be leashed trained and/or with a “no pull” dog harness for the safety of your pet and care taker. Meaning, dogs that continually pull excessively while on leash, will either receive short potty breaks, or only “fenced-in” activities. This will be agreed upon at initial encounter. About: I've loved dogs for the longest time and ever since I've had my own, you quickly realize they are more than a pet, they are family. My dog and I will treat your dog just like family during their visit. I succeeded well in training my dog on my own from house training, to off leash, to playing hide and seek, and I understand the important component of upholding and instilling any of your training while you're not present. As of June 30th, I no longer work remotely, but work very close to home. I still will have plenty of time to give your pup comfort and attention throughout the day. I am available most weekdays and weekends, but may become more limited depending on the season. I have 1 dog, a small Yorkshire Terrier who is known as Mr. President because he loves to greet and befriend each pet or person he sees, no matter the size. He is super friendly and playful and would love to be a great friend and playmate with your pup. I can easily crate your dog if needed with one you provide or with one of my own crates or expandale play pens. My yard is open, but there is plenty of space for fun. I enjoy long walks, so if your pup needs to get in multiple miles, I can make that happen. I have a multi level townhome. Dogs are allowed anywhere in the home except for the kitchen. If your dog loves the outdoors, i have a small deck and a small enclosed front balcony they can hang on. There are plenty of toys and puzzles, but you are of course welcome to provide their favorite toy.

I do allow pets on my furniture and bed, but if that's a behavior you're trying to limit, I can take that into account while your pet is staying here. I have lived my whole life caring for animals and even some with special needs including overweight, diabetic, and some injuries I will be working remotely from home, so I have all the time day or night to stay close by to care for your pets. I am always respectful of your home and want your pet to feel as much at home with a new person present as possible. I keep very clean and leave exactly how I found your place. Prior to sitting, I usually would like an idea of what type of home you have (house, apartment, etc), how much space there is for your pets to play, and what areas are off limits for them to play or hang out. If your pets go in and outside, I’d love to run around outside and play with them or keep a close eye. I’d also be happy to go on walks with your pets around your neighborhood or wherever you prefer for some extra exercise.

About: I can’t recall a time in my life without pets. There was always at least one fluffy cat in the family, and I’ve spent at least a dozen years caring for dogs as well. I firmly believe that all animals have so much love to give and adventure to bring. I currently have a lot of weekday availability in my schedule.
