I finish school at 12:40 so anytime after 1 is great for anything and weekends i am always free. Currently in my home i have a kitten who is an only inside cat, but i grew up with a pitbull and two very large labs so if needed to be crated i can do that.

About: I’ve grown up around animals my entire life and have always had a deep love for caring for them. In 2019, I had the opportunity to raise my own cat after he was left behind by his mother, which gave me valuable hands-on experience caring for a kitten from a very young age. Today, I’m a proud pet parent to both a senior cat and a playful kitten, giving me experience with pets at different stages of life. I also have experience caring for small- and medium-sized dogs and understand the importance of providing them with exercise, attention, and companionship. I treat every pet in my care as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Caring for pets is part of my everyday life. I work full-time and am available Sundays and Mondays to provide loving, dependable care. Because caring for animals is already built into my daily routine, I can easily make time to provide reliable, attentive care for other pets as well. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, exercise, playtime, and any special instructions. I provide a safe, calm environment, plenty of attention, and regular updates to pet parents.
About: I’ve been reliable in taking care of dogs, cats, and horses for the last 5 years for friends, family, neighbors and at work! I find so much joy in being around the furry friends I’m currently working full-time but I’m wanting to be able to pet sit on the weekends. I have a pretty busy schedule, but I want to be able to pet sit when I can! I will be able to feed, water, medicate (if needed) and care for pets in the comfort and safety of there own home. I’ve had experience with everything including medicating dogs and cats
About: PLEASE READ: I currently work in McMinnville so while I am able to pet sit, unless you live within 15 minutes of McMinnville, I will be unable to let animals out in the middle of the day. I've been caring for friends and family's pets for 6 years. I like keeping our furry friends on their schedule and company while loved ones are away. I'm comfortable giving medication and taking care of senior pets. I'm detail oriented and am happy to give status updated as needed. I'd love the chance to care for your pets like they were one of mine. I currently work full time so while I am able to pet sit and do walks, it would need to be close enough to do on my hour lunch break., Currently I prefer to care for pets at their own home, as I feel that being in the same environment helps being with a new person
“The last couple requests with Maleny has been last minute and she has accepted every time! She does a great job and we trust her with our furbabies. Thank you Maleny!”

“Javier is a positive and gentle person to have around my old dog. He has been patient with him and has gone over and above with caring for him while I’m a way I appreciated the time he spent with me to help my dog be more comfortable with him. (My dog had a recent trauma.) I recommend him highly.”

“Samantha was incredibly kind, friendly, professional, reliable, and a very caring animal lover. Felt very confident and comfortable with her taking care of our cat's needs at our home while we were on vacation. Excellent video updates in a timely manner and great communications. I highly recommend her for all your pets' needs and will definitely look to her for future sitting.”

About: What sets me apart is that I treat pets like family, not just a checklist. I pay close attention to their routines, personalities, comfort levels, and little quirks, whether that means giving a shy cat space, keeping a playful pet engaged, or sending updates so you feel reassured while you’re gone. While most of my experience is with cats, I’m also open to caring for dogs and have watched dogs in the past. I’m reliable, communicative, and genuinely care about making your pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their own home. Pet sitting is my full-time work, so my days really are built around caring for animals and showing up for them consistently. I love that I get to spend my time helping pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their people are away. Since this is my main focus, I’m able to be thoughtful and flexible with each pet’s routine. Some pets want playtime and attention, some need a calm presence and a little patience, and some just want their meals on time and their space respected. I try to meet each pet where they are and keep their day feeling as normal and stress-free as possible. I also have my own cat, Mango, so I know how much the little details matter. I bring that same care into every visit, whether I’m checking in on cats, caring for dogs, sending updates, or just helping your pets and home feel settled while you’re gone I’m very respectful of both your pet and your home. I make sure doors, gates, windows, food, and supplies are handled carefully, and I pay attention to the little things that help prevent stress or accidents. I also like to send updates and photos so you feel comfortable knowing how your pet is doing while you’re away. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible and help them feel secure in their own space. Whether your pet is social, shy, playful, or more independent, I’ll meet them where they are and give them care that feels patient, gentle, and trustworthy.

I currently am unemployed and have lots of free time to take care of your pets! I am available any day or time to help you out. I have a fenced in yard and a single story house in a quiet neighborhood. Dogs will have free rein of my house and are allowed on the couch and bed.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,066 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Hopewell. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hopewell. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
