“Karla was amazing with my 2 dogs. She was on time, stayed longer to give them time to potty, and gave them a lot of love. She went above and beyond and wiped their paws, picked up poop, dried them from the bad weather this weekend, and got them toys. She sent updates, pictures and videos every visit. She also left us a beautiful thank you card with pictures of my babies. I would recommend her to everyone and will be booking her again soon.”

“Stephanie was amazing. It was great to see the pictures and receive the updates while I was away for several days sailing from country to country. She gave me peace of mind and freed me of the guilt of leaving my precious fur babies behind.”

About: I’ve dog sitted a couple times in high school but all my life i was raised with dogs in the house. Everyone I knew had a dog. I’ve always have been a animal person. I love playing with them and walking them. I enjoy animals’ company. I’m currently a college student studying to be a teacher. When I’m not in class I’ll be available for any puppers. I don’t discriminate against any ability or size. I hope to become friends with your fur baby soon. We have a fenced in backyard but when I’m away from home. I make sure not to let my pet out of my line of sight. They stay in my field of vision at all times.

About: I’ve been a dog sitter for about 4 years now! I have taken care of many different breeds from chihuahuas to shiz tzu and even Great Danes! I promise to take care of your fur babies like my own! I’m currently a nursing student and go to class Tuesday and Thursday. I work nights mostly on Thursday-Saturday! So I would be honored to help after school and during the days! In my care dogs are walked regularly to ensure they get their energy out, I also groom them (brushing their hair), I would like to brush their teeth if they allow me to and of course take them to potty when they need to!
“Estefany was great! Loved the pictures and comments after every visit. This was a last minute booking and Estefany was very flexible and very responsive. I will definitely use her again.”

About: I truly enjoy having animals. My dogs also have a lot of fun playing with new dogs. I have trained multiple dogs, as I pick up strays often. Also I am open to any accommodations needed for the animals. Currently I don’t work another job. I go to college online so I am home and available throughout the week. Animal care is in my daily life and it would save my husband some stress to be able to give the dogs back home haha. I have two dogs and a gecko. I play frequently with my shepherd and my pit is very lazy but enjoys cuddles. I enjoy playing taking videos and photos of the animals. I will crate train animals if need be, mostly if it gets too rowdy I will put my dogs in the kennel to have individual time.
About: We have two Corgis of our own: Nala and Jorah. We are a dual military household and I was a medic for 10 years, so have some medical background. I would LOVE to be able to love on others peoples pet when they can’t and need a sitter. I understand having to be away from home is hard especially when leaving something you love dearly behind, even if just for a short time. My family and I are very adventurous and love being outdoors. I enjoy taking my dogs on runs/walks and love playing fetch and tug-o-war. During the week I work normal 9-5 hours but live close to work and can come home during lunch to play and let the fur babies use the bathroom. I can do drop ins but they would have to be before and after I get off work. I also do house sitting but if it is far from my own home and I need to stay overnight, I might need to bring my two dogs with me if my family is not home to care for them. I only board one dog at a time so you can ensure your animal will not have to share my love or attention with any other dogs boarding. I have a fenced yard and two playful corgis. They can be kenneled if separation is needed but will follow suit with if our visitor can free roam or if they require kenneling. It will strictly be me caring for the animals. My boyfriend and the kids do enjoy cuddles though.
About: I have hands-on experience caring for my own pets, which has given me a strong understanding of daily pet care routines including feeding, walking, and providing companionship. I'm familiar with recognizing pet behaviors and ensuring comfort, safety, and well being. I am new to the area so I am available and flexible for your pet caring needs. Can't wait to meet your furry family member! Currently have no pets at home and no small children. Have a fenced in yard. My personal experience has taught me responsibility, patience, and how to build trust with animals.
“Exceptionally kind and thoughtful sitters who took wonderful care of my fur babies. I highly recommend them and will hire them again! They even left a very kind card about my kitties 😸.”

“Our fur baby, Stetson, fell in love with Mahogany since the meet-and-greet! (And that is not his typical behavior). Mahogany went above and beyond to ensure that Stetson had memorable yet routine check-ins. She also sent photos during her visits to ensure comfort and transparency. She's earned her gold stars!!”

“Sarah was an amazing sitter. She communicated any issues, sent lots of photos, cleaned up a few unexpected messes, and made Raj happy. If you are looking for someone to look after your pets I highly recommend Sarah!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals since I was a child and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and birds. I genuinely love spending time with pets and making them feel safe, happy, and loved. I currently own a Belgian Malinois, a highly active, large, and incredibly intelligent breed that has taught me patience, consistency, and how to confidently handle energetic dogs. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or providing calm companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I also have a very flexible schedule because I currently work part-time, which allows me to accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and even last-minute pet care requests whenever possible. I’m reliable, punctual, and committed to making sure every pet receives the attention and care they deserve. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. I’m very careful during walks and outings, making sure pets are always secure and never have the opportunity to escape. I also pay close attention to their surroundings and body language to help prevent conflicts or stressful interactions with other animals. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and enjoyable experience while giving owners complete peace of mind.
“Excellent service, she’s extremely professional and GM goes above and beyond with her communication and updates throughout the entire time. She even helped bring some very heavy delivered boxes inside to prevent from theft. I’m very happy with her and will continue to use her services for as long as she’s available to care for my pup. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!”

I’m willing to take care of any other animals as well. I have 3 kids but they all love animals, I as well own a dog who’s friendly and can be keep apart if needed. I’m flexible and I can work with whatever you need help with your pet. I have experience with senior pets, I would just need instructions if medicine needs to be given or anything you do for them that I need to know. I’m available during the weekdays and weekends as well. I can do any time as long as you let me know a day before. I’m also available during holidays. I have a fenced yard with turf so your pets are able to run around. There’s lots of shade and have huge kennels if needed. I also let pets get on top of my couches so they have a comfortable place. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Homestead Meadows North. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
