About: I've been caring for animals since I was in elementary school, starting with my own pets and eventually helping care for the pets of family members, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I truly enjoy spending time with them and building loving friendships with each one. Whether it's going for long walks, playtime, feeding, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I'm also a proud cat owner, and caring for my own cat has given me firsthand experience in providing attentive, daily care and understanding the importance of patience, consistency, and affection. I genuinely love all animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to provide dependable, loving care and give you peace of mind knowing your furry family member is happy, safe, and well cared for. I have full time employment as a classroom teacher! I am now on summer break so I will have plenty of time to hang out and play with your pets!☺️ When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my priority is always making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care needs. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and companionship so they feel relaxed and cared for while their owners are away. I also keep their space clean, fresh, and stress-free, and I always provide updates with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind. For dogs, I enjoy going on long, engaging walks and making sure they get both exercise and enrichment. For cats, I focus on gentle care, play, and respecting their comfort level—whether that means interactive play or quiet companionship.

I plan my schedule around my bookings to make sure each pet gets consistent attention, care, and reliability. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or boarding, I build my day with their needs in mind so I can provide dependable, stress-free care I care for pets by keeping their routine as consistent as possible, whether in my home or the client’s home. “Cara was happy to accommodate a pretty last-minute request for a single drop-in visit for our little guy when we were gonna be away for an evening into late night. As always, she was fantastic with her communication and flexibility!”

About: Hi! I’m Amanda—a lifelong animal lover, BCBA by day, and your pet’s new favorite human by night! 🐾 Whether your pup needs belly rubs and a brisk walk or your cat just wants a cozy companion, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. As a full-time educator, I know how important consistency, safety, and connection are—yes, even for our four-legged friends! I bring that same gentle, attentive energy to every visit and walk. ✅ Available for drop-in visits, dog walks and companionship ✅ Experienced with different sizes and temperaments ✅ Patient, playful, and calm energy ✅ Happy to support feeding, litter cleanup, and routines ✅ Updates and photos every visit for your peace of mind Let’s chat—I’d love to meet your furry family member! As a BCBA working in the school system, I am currently off for the summer, so my availability is wide open. In the fall I will work regular school hours 7:30-2:30pm 4 days/ week. During the week I am available for afternoon and early evening visits. On the weekends my availability is open! I build in dedicated time for each visit to ensure I’m never rushed, and every pet gets my full attention. I care for pets in their own home with the same respect and attentiveness I would offer in my own. I follow all provided instructions closely—whether that includes feeding schedules, medication, preferred walking routes, or favorite toys—and I always take time to observe how each pet is feeling that day and send updates and pictures. During drop-in visits, I offer gentle, calm energy and prioritize connection so your pet feels safe and seen. I’ll make sure they’re fed, comfortable, and get affection or playtime based on their needs and personality. On walks, I stay alert and keep pets secure while still giving them time to sniff, explore, and enjoy the moment. I will always leave your home just as I found it—or even a little better. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel completely at ease while we’re on our routine together
“Jackie is just awesome. She is reliable, very friendly, and has the patience to let my shy little nipper warm up to her slowly. Her flexibility is just what we needed, too. She takes her work seriously, and is clearly interested in learning as much as she can about how our doggies think and feel. We feel very lucky to have found Jackie!”

“Katie always does such a good job taking care of my fur babies while I’m away. She treats them as they were her own. I feel comfortable & confident they’re getting the best care.”

“This is the first time we’ve ever had an outside person come to our home to care for our pup and it was nothing but a positive experience. From the meet and greet to the drop-in, Kage exceeded our expectations. His kindness and professionalism impressed us; he followed all of our instructions to a T, (our dog is under a medical protocol and needed special care) and his update at the end of the drop-in was very reassuring, detailed and thoughtful. We will not hesitate to have him come back to take care of Josie!”

About: I’ve always had dogs in my life since I was a baby, mostly large dogs so I know how to handle them and care for them. I’m able to administer medication if necessary, and I’m patient and attentive, so I can make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable and loved while you’re away. I understand each pet has their own personality and routine, so I always follow owners instructions carefully to minimize stress and keep things consistent. I currently work full time as a bartender, so my mornings and early afternoons are totally open for any care. Nights are a little harder as I get out pretty late. I have 3 cats of my own, I have to administer medication to one of them twice a day, and monitor his litter box use as he has chronic urinary blockages. I am able to feed, clean litter, walk and play with clients pets.
“Jessica is a very competent and caring sitter. Toby was having some health and mobility issues and she treated him wonderfully and kept me informed on his condition. I recommend Jessica and will call her again.”

I have a few regular pet-sitting clients that are very easy to work around. I am extremely flexible and have relatively open availability. I will make sure to answer to your pet's every need. They will feel like they are on a 'stay-cation' while you are away! I am happy to put in whatever work necessary to make their time with me wonderful.
About: I have taken care of pets all my life, by 8 years old I had 5 pets to care for. Comfortable around all dogs and cats. Very much a pet person! I currently work a full time job but I can definitely make a schedule that accommodates to your fur baby whether it be walks, check ins, companion time or whatever else I may be able to help with! I am not offering at home care for pets just yet, not able to provide the space in my current home. hoping to very soon.
“Hiring Ashley to care for our pets while we were away was a great decision! She went above and beyond with our pets and home. Our cat can be a bit spicy at times but Ashley handled him well and enjoyed time with him. Thank you!!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and previously volunteered at an animal shelter where I cared for dogs. I have experience dog sitting for various people over the years and can also administer medication. I’m currently working full time with weekends and holidays off. I arrive back home around 5pm. Anytime I’m not at work, I’m available to provide care! I have stayed at clients houses before to dog sit. I’m comfortable following all directions and am able to meet all reasonable accommodations to include playtime, picking up poop, and crating them.
“Becca is absolutely wonderful! She was so incredibly sweet with our puppy and gave her the best care. She is detailed, professional, and thoughtful — the perfect combination for us, as new puppy owners and first-time Rover users. We can’t recommend her highly enough!”

“I highly recommend Lila. She did an amazing job with my three cats. She is very diligent and honest. Gustav needs a pill and she was able to give him that. Betty is very timid but she went to Lila. Lila kept me updated with texts and photos everyday. She went above and beyond. I look forward to having Lila take care of my fur babies whenever I travel!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
