“Jennifer is a dedicated a responsive sitter who has been taking care of my girls during the day while I’m starting a new job. She always goes above and beyond my expectations and my girls love her like family. It really sets my mind at ease knowing Jennifer will check on them every day while I’m gone.”

“Amy is the best! We traveled overseas for 10 days & she took top-notch care or our 2 kitties - one of which requires 2 oral meds daily. She goes above and beyond making sure that our pets are well taken care of while on business of vacationing. We have been using Amy for our petsitting for over 2 years now. Thanks again, Amy”

“Natalie is AWESOME!!!! This is my second time booking with her (and will continue to book W/ Natalie in the future if possible). She dropped in checked in on my pet and gave me updates on how he was doing. I am beyond thankful that I can leave home and feel that my pet is well taken care of while I’m out all because of Natalie! THANK YOU AGAIN Natalie!!!! And a HUGE thank you for dropping by and making time during your birthday weekend! 😊”

“Joseph took great care of our babies! They are not the easiest to take care of but Joseph did an amazing job communicating and taking care of all their needs. He gave us great piece of mind.”

“Marcelina is an excellent and sweet petsitter who is very attentive to details and very communicative towards pet owners. She took care of my cat, Nydia (who is very picky) and I could tell that Nydia loved her from the start. I am very happy with Marcelina's services, recommend her 1000% (yes, one thousand percent) and will definitely re-book to take care of my chonky cat!”

“Jadyn was absolutely amazing with our pups. She was very flexible, and always showed up on time or even before she was asked to be there. Our elderly dog is pretty specific about who he lets come around him, and it seems like he had a good time with Jadyn!😁Will definitely be using her again, thank you for a wonderful experience Jadyn🫶🏻”

About: I have over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, and horses. From raising my own dogs through every stage of life—puppies to seniors—I understand the love and attention pets need to thrive. I’m also experienced in administering medications, so you can feel confident that your pets are in capable, caring hands. My goal is to provide the same dependable, compassionate care I give my own animals, giving you peace of mind while you’re away. I currently work an early morning schedule from 12:00AM to 8:30AM or sometimes a little later, which allows me plenty of flexibility to provide attentive pet care throughout the rest of the day. For overnight stays, depending on your pet’s needs, my husband is also available to provide morning feedings while I’m at work. This ensures your pets receive consistent care and attention, even during early hours. Despite my work schedule, I am fully committed to offering reliable, compassionate, and exceptional care, treating every pet with the same love and attention I give my own. Although I do not offer boarding services at my home due to the animals I already care for, I provide in-home pet care with the utmost dedication. When staying in your home, I treat it as if it were my own, ensuring your pets are cared for just as I would care for my own. I follow every detail you provide to keep them calm, comfortable, and happy throughout your time away, giving you peace of mind that they are in loving, capable hands.
About: Your pet is a special member of your family, and my care aims to reflect that! I grew up taking care of rescues who require patience, compassion, and care tailored to their individual needs and personalities. I have looked after both cats and dogs with all sorts of health issues, as well as individual traumas and triggers. Choosing me to take care of your pets means choosing someone who understands that your pets are just as important as the rest of your family, that they deserve quality care and respect. It is important to me to meet with new clients and their pets before taking care of them so that the pets will recognize me and know that I'm safe, and so I can be walked through your pets' personalized care routines. I do my best to be quick and clear with my communication and I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I am a student and this is my only job outside of schoolwork. I keep timely care at the front of my mind when planning my schedule. I like to follow my clients' routines and rules for pet-care, so that your furry friends feel right at home even with their parents gone. I like to greet pets immediately when I arrive and reassure them that I'm a friendly face who is excited to see them! Next, I double-check for any notes left for me by my client regarding changes in the care routine and let my client know through the Rover app that I have arrived and that all pets are doing well. For overnight stays, I settle in with any luggage in the room where I will stay and visit with the pets more. I make sure to follow routine to a T, keep the environment clean and tidy, and let my client know of any notable goings-on! It should be noted that if you are kind enough trust me to watch over your pet and your home, I need to be able to trust that I will not be surveiled during my stay. While I understand clients having a front-door camera to view their porch, I will not be able to comfortably stay or sleep in a home that has security cameras inside. Thank you in advance for understanding that this a firm boundary for me 🙏
“Josseline did an exceptional job taking care of our dogs! She was attentive, reliable , and clearly cared for them as if they were her own. We felt completely at ease while we were away and would absolutely book her again. Highly recommend. !”

About: I am a certified service animal trainer with hands-on experience raising, handling, and training a service dog full-time from 8 weeks to 9 months old. During that time, I focused on obedience training, socialization, public access skills, daily care, and building strong positive behaviors in a variety of environments. This experience taught me patience, consistency, and how to confidently care for dogs with different needs and personalities. I am passionate about providing attentive, loving, and reliable care to every pet as if they were my own. As a college student home for the summer, I have a very flexible schedule and am available any time throughout the week for pet care needs. Caring for animals easily fits into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets and have experience maintaining structured schedules for feeding, walks, playtime, and training. Whether your pet needs early morning care, midday visits, or evening walks. I’m dependable, responsive, and happy to accommodate different schedules. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on making pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while keeping their normal routine consistent. During drop-in visits, I make sure pets are fed, have fresh water, get plenty of attention and playtime, and receive any needed potty breaks or exercise, all per your instructions. For dog walks, I prioritize safety, patience, and positive interactions while making sure each dog gets the exercise and enrichment they need. With my background in service dog training and handling, I’m comfortable working with different temperaments and reinforcing good behaviors during visits and walks.

“I booked Suzy for a quick drop-in on my buddy Murphy. She let him out and made sure he used the bathroom, got some water, and even fed him. But the most important thing about the visit was you could tell she really loves and cares for dogs and that put me at ease, especially as a first time user of her services and only my second time using the Rover app! Thanks Suzy!”

“Cathleen did a great job caring for my three cats. She sent updates everyday to let me know how they were doing and I had a great trip knowing my cats were well cared for. I will be using her services again in the future!”
“Our pets loved Leah! We wanted someone with experience with large breeds since we have a giant schnauzer and she was able to handle him just fine. She is very communicative and friendly!”

She was wonderful with my three dogs and even came on her day off to make sure they were taken care of. She alerted me right away when she noticed my front door was open, which I really appreciated. Very reliable, communicative, and attentive. I felt completely at ease knowing my dogs were in good hands. Highly recommend.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
