Cheesecake is a long hair cat and often I’d find knots on her fur from hiding and excessive shading while in stress. “Valerie was fantastic. I've used her twice so far, once for a few day vacation and once for an overnight. My poor girl is a little neurotic and has social and generalized anxiety. She's on a ton of daily meds and has a few situation meds as well. She very quickly warmed up to Valerie. I already have care sheets printed up for my girl, but Valerie came with a notebook prepared to write everything down so that she wouldn't have to rely solely on her memory. She was very flexible on the day of our meet and greet when I had to work 2hrs later than I expected. She was also willing to be flexible on start/end dates (within what her schedule allowed). Ended up not needing to change plans on the vacation, but she did end up coming over early on the day of the overnight (with unfortunately not as much notice as I should have given her). Valerie spent most the day(s) and all nights with my girl and sent photo updates. Fortunately, my dog only had one freak out while I was gone, and Valerie was very patient with her. Before I left for vacation, I'd tried to clean as much as I could, but there were a couple of things I meant to do and just ran out of time. When I got home, the house was actually a bit cleaner than I left it. She didn't reorganize my things or anything that I'd have been frustrated by, just... that little bit extra. Could not have asked for a better sitter. Will definitely be reaching out again!”

About: I’ve loved and cared for a variety of animals throughout my life. I’ve had dogs, cats, a parakeet, hamsters, gerbils, rats, ferrets, fish, a bearded dragon, and a red tail boa. I LOVE animals. When I was a kid I would even spend my weekends at our local pet shop holding and playing with their animals. I am a mother of two teenagers, and have been a small business owner, so I am extremely responsible, reliable, caring, attentive to detail, and have the skills to do anything necessary to care for your pets. I currently work part time evenings and weekends, so I’m available all week, Monday through Friday during the morning and afternoon hours up until 4pm. We have a fenced in yard, but we also live in a beautiful historic neighborhood and love taking walks around the neighborhood and to the park as often as possible.

About: Starting in 2015, while working as a housekeeper, I became the go-to pet sitter for many of the families I cleaned for. Even after starting my career as an esthetics instructor, I stayed on as their trusted sitter, continuing to care for their senior cats and dogs alike, foster dogs, special needs dogs, dogs with behavioral issues. With both a cat and dog myself and having raised two litters of pups, I offer a wide variety of knowledge and expertise. I take pride in giving an insane amount of scratches, massages, baby talk and car rides for doggy ice cream from Ritters, all while singing “you are my sunshine.” I am a firm and proud believer that I ought to treat your pets as I would my very own! Having a huge heart for animals, I trust their instincts and strive to be as in tune with them as possible. They truly are so sensitive to what’s going on around them and I humbly love learning from each animal, their outlook on life and their own experiences. I have a lot of flexibility within my schedule as I only work 3 days each week as an esthetician and esthetics instructor, and have my husband to help me take care of our fur own fur babies. I don’t mind early mornings, and strive to keep a consistent routine for your pet. I will ALWAYS send check in photos each day I come, keep things clean and organized, observe their behavior, and stay as close to their normal routine as possible.
