“I have used Claire as a Rover before, but this most recent time really highlighted how wonderful she is. I had a different Rover scheduled during the holidays (Claire was unavailable the first portion of this time frame or I would have just had her the entire time), however, the other Rover was in an accident and could not finish out her scheduled visits. I messaged Claire and she stepped in to complete the visits while I was away. I can't thank you enough Claire for stepping up and caring for my Miso.”

About: I grew up with 5 dogs, 3 labs and 2 shitzu mixes. Their energy, love and playfulness brightened all my days. I will forever miss them. My love for dogs led me to volunteer with Wags and Walks and to babysit my dog niece Phoebe. Is it a good walk if you don’t stop to pet every dog you meet? I am a career IT. I started out as an IT in the Navy, after I got sick and was discharged I decided to pivot to work doing things I love and that fulfill me. I started out volunteering, pet/house sitting for friends and realized this is what I would like to do full time until I can transition into culinary school. I have nothing but love for all animals, tenderness for their people and a passion to make their time on Earth the absolute best! While I cannot host your animals, I pride myself on being able to anticipate animals needs! No ask is too complex to me because every animal’s needs are important and deserve to be tailored.

About: I grew up always having dogs in the house, so I've been taking care of dogs ever since I was little. I'm an avid hiker and runner so if your pup is up for it I'd love for them to be my workout companion for the day! I have a lot of favorite beach spots on the lake as well, so if your dog is a swimmer, we can add that to the activities. I've helped train puppies, take care of older dogs, and have even helped out family members who have dog sat on Rover before, sometimes handling many dogs at one time. I'm in my senior year at Berklee College of Music, and I only have class four days a week, so that leaves my weekends completely free for pet care! I've done lots of leash walking with my various dogs, so I'm used to walking pets lots with different levels of difficulty on the leash. I'm very patient and loving with dogs, and I enjoy spending time walking outside, so doing it with a companion would be fun for the both of us! As for pet care in a client's home, I am flexible with whatever the client's needs for their pet are!

About: I’ve pet sat for over 5 years now. I’ve been trusted to watch dogs, cats, and more. I’m clean, punctual, and love playing with dogs! I work full time and am available to fit whatever your pet needs into my calendar. New to Nashville and available on weekdays and weekends I’ve pet sat for dozens of owners who have different routines with their pals. I enjoy taking them for walks, playing in or out of the house, and feeding them on a set schedule. I don’t invite people over so it will just be myself.

“Gavin did such a great job taking care of our cat, Louie! As a Rover sitter myself, I tend to be very picky with who I let watch my pets and I will definitely be using Gavin again!!”

“Jasmine is attentive, thoughtful, and communicative. She took wonderful care of my dog, adapted her schedule to the weather conditions (it was 90+ degrees when she was schedule to take my dog for a walk; she let her out for a few mins and came back later when it was cooler — that’s above and beyond). I plan to use Jasmine again and recommend her without any reservation. ?”

About: I’m the youngest of 5 kids, raised with large breed dogs since age 0. I feel perfectly comfortable around dogs of any size; they seem to feel equally comfortable around me. I can handle large and physical dogs without concern. I also have a soft spot in my heart for elderly dogs. I will love your dogs and at the end of the day, I’m doing this because animals make me happy! I’m currently looking for full time work after spending the last 13 months traveling the world with my wife following our wedding in 2024. I am an experienced chemical engineer looking for a new role in that sector. I will treat your dog as if it’s my own - I love being around animals literally all the time and am pretty flexible temperamentally - I can take your dog on a speed walk or lazily meander; it’s all the same to me!

Heron Walk pet parents share their Rover experiences
Cecilia was the absolute best with taking care of my two cats and looking after my property while I was away. Her professionalism and attention to detail was outstanding, and she was always quick to send me updates about my little ones. I will definitely be hiring her again as she is trustworthy and enjoys the work she was being provided.

Booked the day before after finding out I’d be late with a work event and Kathy was able to drop in for a visit to take my boy to potty and feed him so he could take his heart medication. Great communication throughout the visit and even sent some pictures! Thank you!

Lauren is a very reliable sitter for my cats. She came over for a meet and greet before and always showed up very promptly to take care of them. Unfortunately, she didn't have very much interaction with my cats because they are former ferals and afraid of everybody but me. I'm sure she would have played with them if they would just come out and trust her. Maybe in time they will when she comes again. The cats are like that about everybody. But, their needs were taken care of perfectly while she was there and she sent me pictures every day. I will definitely use Lauren again and maybe Boots and Midnight will learn to love her too!
