About: I have been caring for pets since I was 16 for neighbors and friends. I love spending time with animals and making sure they are as happy as they can be. I have a good work schedule where I am home at 11:30 AM so I can care for pets while owners are at work during the day. I will follow any instructions given from the owner as well as be attentive to the pets needs. I will play and make sure the pet is happy and calm before leaving the home.

About: Dogs have always had a special place in my life, even though I’ve cared for just about every kind of pet-cats, parrots, gerbils, hamsters, fish, and more. For the past 10 years, I’ve been trusted to dog-sit for friends, neighbors, and family. I’ve worked with senior dogs, dogs who need medication, shy or anxious pups, and dogs of all sizes. I’m passionate, patient, and treat every dog like part of the family!💗🐶 I currently work as a gardener and high school coach, but have a flexible schedule. I work with my 16 year old daughter, Chloe, so I'll always have someone available to help out your pet(s)! I have hands-on experience with crating, administering medication, using harnesses, and walking or running with dogs. I’m comfortable with pups of all sizes—from purse-sized companions to dogs nearly my height! I’ve cared for shy and anxious dogs, and I understand how to build trust gently. Thanks to my own dogs, including one with severe allergies, I know how important safety and attentiveness are. Whether I’m walking your dog or checking in at your home, you can count on me to treat your pet with the same love, care, and caution I give my own.

“Samantha, thank you again for watching our baby, Dom while we were out of town! We are incredibly grateful for you and all you do for him. We love all the pictures and updates, too! Makes me happy to see he’s doing good while I’m away. Thank you again!”

About: Hi, my name is Mindy! I have been caring for pets ever since I was a kid, when I began sitting and walking neighbors and family friends' dogs. So far I've raised puppies, cared for senior dogs, and everything in between. I'm sure to spoil and love your furry friend as if they were my own- while I don't currently have a pet of my own, I grew up caring for two geckos (shout out to Coco and Kiki), and I've fostered dogs in the past as well. I provide walks, drop-ins and house-sitting services. I also have extensive experience with fast walkers and dogs who pull. I'm typically available on weeknights and weekends. I am more than happy to help out with house sitting if you're going on a trip or with any additional afternoon/evening needs. I'll spend time with your pets doing their favorite activities, whether that's playing out back, going on a walk, or just getting some cuddles in. I use positive reinforcement of all kinds- a little extra praise, some treats, and plenty of ear scratches!

About: With experience caring for cats, dogs, birds, and aquatic animals, I’m glad to provide care to the pets who complete your family! I’m located in Sykesville, MD, but able to travel in central Maryland to meet your needs. I'm available until the end of the summer, and available most week days. With a few days notice, I’m glad to provide care on weekends to fit your pet care needs. Safety is a priority, along with care and engagement. While caring for pets, I look out for their safety by keeping a watchful eye on them, and always ensuring they are in a safe environment.

In your home I will care for your pets by letting them keep their normal routine! I will follow all rules and guidelines given while making sure your pet is cared for and happy!

“She’s awesome! She has huge passion for rescue dogs and made sure our rescue dog is as comfortable as she can be when we’re not home. Thank you! Our dog is so lucky to have you!”

About: I have personally had 1 cat and 2 dogs as pets as a kid where I helped my family with walking, medications, and general grooming and bathing. I have had multiple jobs over the years taking care of dogs, cats, hamsters, and fish. I've taken care of small and large dogs (the biggest being a Bull Mastiff) and the smallest being 2 German Schnauzers. I also spent a long time being a volunteer dog walker at a dog shelter called small miracles in ellicott city, Maryland where I saw dogs of all sizes coming from all walks of life. With all the on-and-off jobs over the years, it amounts to about a year of experience. I am a full-time physical therapy graduate student that has classes from 9 am to 4 pm most days during the week. However, I have a full-hour lunch break during the day from 12 pm - 1 pm so that I can check up on your pets and take them for a walk or spend some quality time with them! I'm also not opposed to being there early in the morning for your dogs either At home, I have a 1.5-year-old golden doodle named Mando. He has a lot of energy so multiple walks a day are a must for him. He also has allergies and needs daily medication in the spring. I will follow along with whatever rules you have in place for your pets whether you prefer them to stay within certain areas of the house, stay off the couches, have certain rules while walking, you name it!

About: Hey! I’m a 20-year-old college student who’s been caring for dogs for the past 5 years. I’ve looked after all kinds of dogs — from energetic dogs to senior dogs—and I always try to make sure they have fun. I’m also a lifeguard, but I have a flexible schedule. If you’re looking for someone reliable who likes being around animals, I’d love to help take care of your dog! I am available every day of the week to take care of your pets but am also working as a lifeguard so will need to work around that at times (I mostly only work as a lifeguard 2 or 3 days of the week for 4 hour shifts) When I’m staying at your home to care for your dog, I follow their usual routine—whether that’s meal times, walks, or just hanging out. I also make sure to treat your home with the same care I’d want for my own.

About: I am reliable and trustworthy! I have worked closely with families for 5 + years, walking their dogs daily and house sitting and caring for their beloved pets while the owners traveled. I am available daily, mornings, afternoons and evenings, I just ask for 24-hr notice so I can plan accordingly! I am happy to walk them for atleast 15-20 minutes so they can stretch their legs and get out some energy! I also am happy to feed them for their routine meals if you are unable to do so. I am comfortable walking your dog if there is a safe space to do so, or playing with them in your fenced in yard, it is what you are comfortable with.

Erik V.
“I cannot speak highly enough of Erik! He is an absolutely delightful and responsible young man who will exceed your expectations! Erik is first and foremost a kind and generous person, who is friendly, dedicated, trustworthy, and reliable! Secondly, he will love and care for your fur babies as if they are his own! We had the pleasure of hiring Erik to house and doggie sit for our 3 (2 senior mini schnauzers, and an italian mastiff) last spring, and several times over the summer for walks and play/cuddle time. Prior to his start date, he made a point of coming over to our home to get to know the dogs and their schedules. Throughout our time away he always sent text, photo and video updates, which gave us peace of mind that our dogs were in great hands. It is evident that he truly loves animals, and that caring for them is much more than a job to him. You will not be disappointed with entrusting your pets into Erik's care. He is simply the best!”

“I have a pet sitting service and when I needed coverage for my clients Alissa did an amazing job. She shows up on time, takes great care of everyone and communicates well with the clients. She is also a wonderful and loving pet parent herself. Alissa is the kind of person you can always depend on to take care of whatever situation arises. I would leave my pets in her care with complete confidence that they would be loved and cared for as if they were her own. Alissa is a gem!”
Henryton pet parents share their Rover experiences
Michelle was EXCELLENT with my senior pup! She was absolutely wonderful. From the start, she was attentive, patient, and incredibly kind. She took the time to understand my dog’s needs and pace, and treated him with such care and compassion. It’s not easy finding someone I trust with my old man, but she exceeded every expectation. She was also incredibly kind to my Mom who was home during the drop-ins. I HIGHLY recommend Michelle to anyone looking for someone thoughtful and reliable to care for your best friend—especially for senior pups!
