“Cyrus was excellent. He did a meet and greet. He instructed us on the care he provides. He sent us pictures of CASH and answered our questions promptly while we were gone. Our dog was treated like family. When we arrived earlier than expected Cyrus accommodated us with an early pick up time.”

“We were very nervous about leaving Layla, our Shihtzu for 2 nights. But Layla was comfortable with Luciana the moment we dropped her off. Her and her husband were both great and sent several pictures and videos to assure us Layla was in good hands. We will not hesitate to use them again.”

“Jaelyn is one of my favorite Rover sitters that I’ve encountered so far. I’m so happy that Jaelyn and (and friends,) and my pup Shady, all seemed to be such a great fit for each other. I could tell through the many messages and awesome photos I received, that Shady was getting so much love. He has been so worn out this evening after spending his wonderful weekend adventures with Jaelyn.”

“I had such a great experience, it was clear how much they genuinely love and understand My pup instantly felt comfortable, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. I received regular updates, photos, which made me smile and feel connected the entire time. When I returned, my dog was happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. I’m so grateful for the love and attention they gave, and I’ll definitely be booking with them again in the future!”

“Sandi is a wonderful sitter. She is clearly a dog lover and my dog was at ease in her care immediately. The pictures and communication from Sandi were excellent!! I am so happy with the 4 night stay our senior standard poodle had with Sandi and recommend her highly! 5+ star experience. I will use Sandi again!”

“As with the last sitting, my dog Sweetums had a wonderful time with Joe and Celeste. When we dropped her off for this stay, she knew where she was and was excited to stay. Sweetums is 4 months old but she remembered from her last stay the doggy door they have. She ran back and forth a few times like this is cool. Now I'm going to have to get a doggy door LOL. They treat her like she was their own. And I swear she grew an inch in 4 days. Thanks Joe & Celeste”

“We loved Donna! Communication was great and I loved receiving photos and videos each day of my dog and what they did. Would definitely recommend her and use her again! I know my dog had a great time in her care ☺️”

“This was my first time ever having to leave a baby behind on vacation and I’m too happy Darlene accepted my request. My baby whom was never away from home or us, adjusted well slowly but they gained his trust. She continued to update me about him throughout the day with pictures included! Thank you again!”

About: I am new to this site, but have used Wag! for quite some. I have been taking care of dogs since I was a young child and since then have taken care of almost every type of domestic animal. Whether you need your dog or cat walked, sat for, or boarded I can help. There's no dog too stubborn or cat too mean. I'm comfortable with all animals. Anything can be worked out... if there are instructions I need to follow, information I need to learn, or skills I need to master to make you feel safe, leaving your loved one with me I am willing. I am perfectly comfortable administering pets medication, tending to elderly pets, or even bottle-feeding any type of fur baby. When it comes to boarding, I have two live-in very friendly doodles, I trust them implicitly but they can be easily be kept (via large centrally located gate) separate from your fur baby if necessary or you feel more comfortable that way. I have a large fenced in backyard. My property is covered in cameras, both inside and out. I also have a GPS tracked fence and can have your pup wear a gps collar while staying here if you’d like for extra security. I would also be happy to pick-up and drop-off your pet to help make your travel plans more convenient and less stressful for you. I am not a giant stickler for start and stop times. No one can plan for traffic or a delayed flight. Travel is stressful enough so there should be no need to worry about that, everything can be worked out. Feel free to book me for sitting services if you need help whelping when your dog is in labor I am very familiar and could be a great help. I’m excited to meet and spend time with your fur baby family member 😁😁😁 I work from home, so I’m available for as many pet walks as walks as necessary, pet sitting and boarding. If I board your pet they will almost never if not actually never be left alone. I live in a house in a safe friendly neighborhood. I have a large fenced in yard that is reinforced with industrial chicken wire to prevent any smaller pups from escaping. Also, any dog that is to stay at my house can (upon owner request and or approval) be fitted with a GPS tracker for their stay here so they can be monitored by me at all times, even when just in the backyard. My property is covered outside and in with cameras and I have a security system. I have every size of cage and playpen if you’d like your pet to be kennel at night or if I have to run out for a minute. I also have a large gate in the main hallway of my house, which can be used to keep your pet separate from my two friendly doodles if that makes you more comfortable.
“Loki got the best care with Jeff and his family. We had never left our dog with anyone other than family before and were a little nervous. We were rest assured that she was in good hands and getting extra love and attention. Jeff kept us updated each day with how she was doing with photos. Loki came home content and we would definitely send here there again!”

“Christina did it again! My Bella gets the best care when I’m out of town. I get frequent updates and pics. I don’t have to worry about whether or not she’s being taken care of. Thank you Christina, for taking such good care of my baby!”

“Duke and Peaches loved staying with Samantha over the holidays. She sent me pictures daily of how they were doing which relieved my anxiety of leaving them behind for a few days. I would definitely recommend Samantha for your pet vacation stay.”

“My Scout had a great stay with Carmen and found a new doggie friend in Tyr. She played and was very comfortable and happy. We will definitely be back next time I need a sitter. Carmen knows dogs and was very reliable and flexible.”

“Thank you to Jenn for your remarkable service. I was in need of a local Rover after evacuating from Florida with my dog before the recent hurricane. Jenn was able to step right in and agree to boarding. She provided a caring and fun experience, including some amazing pics. My dog came back playful and happy. I would definitely rebook and highly recommend Jenn!”
“Jaimi was timely and very professional in dealing with both Mac, my English Cocker Spaniel, and me while she boarded him in her home. I would highly recommend Jaimi if she is available to board your pet.”

“Nina was everything I could hope for in a pet sitter! She loved on my pup like her own and updated me frequently on how he was doing. She went above and beyond to work with my anxious puppy on his walks. 10/10 would recommend to everyone!”

About: I’ve had animals from Guinea pigs, rodents, ferrets, cats, dogs, birds, etc. I’ve also volunteered at farms learning the proper care routines for several animals. I am planning to return back to school shortly for wildlife conservation while my first career path was a veterinarian. Ive always had a passion and genuine love for animals and making sure they’re properly cared for and I would love to be able to do that for the rest of my life hopefully soon!! I appreciate any care instructions or special tips for your loved ones. Otherwise I will do my best to make sure I’m properly educated on how to care for your family members and making sure they’re as comfortable and loved as can be :) I’m a non smoker pet free household. I’m currently working a classic 9-5. I have evenings open to care for your loved ones. I am also free on Sunday and Monday. I live in an apartment with a fenced dog park. I have no animals at home and do not smoke. I just love animals and wanna be able to bring the best care to them per your needs and your furry family.
“So fantastic- cannot say enough good things! Alivia was so accommodating with drop-off/pick-up times, and kept me updated with so many pictures of my pup while I was away! Will definitely use her again next time I go out of town!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Hendricks Corner home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Hendricks Corner.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Hendricks Corner sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
