“Maddie is a delight with which to do business. She communicates very well and bends over backwards to work with changes in circumstances and schedules. If the need comes up it would be my pleasure to use her as a sitter again.”

“Jaelyn is one of my favorite Rover sitters that I’ve encountered so far. I’m so happy that Jaelyn and (and friends,) and my pup Shady, all seemed to be such a great fit for each other. I could tell through the many messages and awesome photos I received, that Shady was getting so much love. He has been so worn out this evening after spending his wonderful weekend adventures with Jaelyn.”

“Jody was amazing! She treated our 2 dogs as though they were her own. She sent photos every day we were away, took our dogs to the dog park several times during their stay and made them comfy and cozy. I know for sure they were happy and safe in Jody's care. Thank you Jody!”

“Jacklyn was the best dog sitter ever. She treated our German Shepherd pup so well that he wanted to stay with her instead of coming back home with us :) her super friendly beautiful dog, Stryker, is the most friendly dog I've ever seen. He made my dog feel welcome immediately. I would definitely recommend Jacklyn to all my friends and family without hesitation. My dog Kai can't wait to go back to Jacklyn and Stryker.”

“Caitlin and her family were AMAZING!! I was very nervous as this was our first time going out of town with our Zen and also having him stay with a sitter. Caitlin was very responsive and answered all of my questions She was flexible when our arrival time was pushed back and allowed us to pick him up during our stay to spend time with him. It was clear that he was loved on while he was with them!! I would 190% recommend Caitlin and we plan to book with her again!!”

“Lincoln had a fantastic long weekend with Khirah, her kiddo, and furriends! We loved the pics and video she shared, and appreciated how one-at-time introductions were handled expertly in a multi-pet household :)”
“This was my first time ever having to leave a baby behind on vacation and I’m too happy Darlene accepted my request. My baby whom was never away from home or us, adjusted well slowly but they gained his trust. She continued to update me about him throughout the day with pictures included! Thank you again!”

“My Scout had a great stay with Carmen and found a new doggie friend in Tyr. She played and was very comfortable and happy. We will definitely be back next time I need a sitter. Carmen knows dogs and was very reliable and flexible.”

About: When I was growing up, I woke up every morning to the sounds of some sort of pet feet on the floor; There were cats, dogs, rats, hamsters, birds, reptiles, and everything in between being cared for by myself and my family at some point or another - I guess you could say my love for animals comes honestly! Can't get enough frame-worthy photos of your favorite four-legged kids? ...me either. That must be why I take A TON of pride in photographing your fur-babies and providing some great candid, funny, and of course, debonair shots during my visits - so be sure to have some empty frames on hand, just in case ;) I am comfortable and experienced with a myriad of dog breeds and different animals (please feel free to reach out with special requests!!), and I am happy to provide drop-in's just to visit, feed and cuddle your dog, cats, ferrets, etc. - I am even more pleased to offer a walk or run that is personally catered to your pup - old or young, big or small, and I am fortunate to have plenty of flexibility to do it. Hour-long walks are available upon request, and I can often arrange an even longer extended outing by request, as well - maybe a trip to the park or beach while you have a day-date or a spa day! :) You will also notice that I offer a price break per visit on each pet after the first. If your pet comes to our home, he or she will have access to plenty of space in our large, fenced in backyard. We are also in a very pet-friendly neighborhood for walks, without a lot of traffic. I will only accept one dog per sitting (unless from the same home), to ensure your pet gets the best care and all the spoiling during its stay with us. Please note that the other dog listed on my account is actually my "dog-brother", and he does not reside in our home :) Please reach out with questions about pets other than cats and dogs! My husband typically works from home, as well, and loves furry visitors. Our home has a large backyard with plenty of space for fetch or just hanging out, with plenty of shade, as well. Water will always be available!

“We had such a wonderful experience with Liz watching our Cootie Girl overnight! She did an amazing job caring for her, especially considering that Cootie is an older girl and needs a little extra patience and attention. Liz’s home was absolutely perfect for Cootie — it was dog-friendly, comfortable, and all on one level, which made things so much easier for her. I could tell right away that Liz genuinely loves dogs and took wonderful care of Cootie. It gave us such peace of mind knowing Cootie was safe, comfortable, and being so well cared for. We would absolutely trust Liz with Cootie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat your dog like family! ❤️🐾”

“My pup, Magnus, loved staying with Mary! Magnus also made a friend with Mary’s pup. Magnus is now home and sleeping soundly from having such a good time. Magnus can’t wait to go back :) Would definitely recommend Mary!”

“Britney was absolutely fantastic! I’m pretty sure my dog had a better vacation with her than I did😂 great communication and so accommodating. 10 out of 10 would recommend and will definitely be using her in the future (and telling family and friends)!”

“Ilana was great with our dog during his 2-night stay. We received multiple updates and many pictures. Our dog was able to play freely with her dog Tony, and was taken on multiple long walks. She went above and beyond on night 1, when our dog was having trouble settling down in a new environment. We appreciated her understanding in this situation, and she did everything possible to make our dog feel more comfortable.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Toddville home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Toddville.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Toddville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
