“Liah is absolutely wonderful!! She went above and beyond every step; not only for Gus, but for us as well. Great communication, sweet picture updates and space to let Gus find his happy place. Will absolutely book with Liah again!”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was little, mostly house sitting and through my parents and sister's many different pets. I love training, walking, and cuddling with these empathetic creatures. I also have some experience in helping out at a dog boarding and day care facility in Steamboat Springs. I graduated December 2021 with my Outdoor Education AA and my Sustainability Studies BA from Colorado Mountain College. I then had the privilege to travel internationally and more locally for a year afterwards but the yampa valley curse sucked me back in! I now live in Steamboat full time. Last year I was unfortunately laid off from my position as Conservation Corps Program Manager at Rocky Mountain Youth Corps due to federal funding cuts. BUT lucky for you and your pets that does mean that I have more availability for walks and sitting! I am also working at Mary’s Mountain Cookies downtown. I can provide any environment that best suits your dog. I want them to feel safe and to stick with their routine while you are away. I prefer house sitting rather than drop ins with dogs that are not used to their owners being away for long periods of time. I will do my best to provide stability, basic needs, and of course lots of love, attention and cuddles! Aside from the occasional travels, outdoor adventures, and family visits, I am working almost full time at Mary’s Mountain Cookies downtown. I do have a lot of flexibility in my schedule and can check on pups during my breaks etc. I want your dog to be the most comfortable they can be while you are gone. I will try to stick to their normal routine and training as closely as possible and provide them lots of love and play time!
About: Hi, I'm Susan! Animals have a way of making every day better, and I love returning the favor by giving them a safe, calm, and caring experience while their humans are away. I've been in Steamboat for over five years and have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of attention and reliable care. Whether your cat is playful and curious, loves chasing toys, or prefers a cozy nap in their favorite sunny spot, I'm happy to match their personality and routine. I understand that every cat is unique, and I take the time to earn their trust while making sure they feel comfortable and secure in their own home. I love taking pictures, so you'll receive plenty of photo updates to see exactly what your cat is up to while you're away! You can count on me to be: • Reliable and communicative • Patient with shy, senior, or independent cats • Respectful of your cat's routines and boundaries • Attentive to medications, feeding schedules, litter box care, and fresh water • Gentle, calm, and focused on making your cat feel safe and comfortable My goal is simple: I want your cat to feel relaxed and cared for while you're away, and I want you to have complete peace of mind knowing they're in loving hands. I can't wait to meet you and your feline family! Your pet's routine is my priority. I'll follow their usual schedule for meals, walks, exercise, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and downtime, helping them stay happy and comfortable while you're away. I'll make every day feel as normal and consistent as possible. I care for every pet as if they were my own, while respecting the routines and preferences you've established. Before we begin, I like to learn about your pet's personality, daily schedule, favorite activities, feeding routine, medications, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable. During each visit, I'll make sure your pet has everything they need, including fresh water, meals on schedule, exercise or playtime, potty breaks (for dogs), litter box cleaning (for cats), and plenty of attention and affection. Whether your pet is energetic and loves to play or prefers a calm companion, I'll tailor my care to what makes them happiest. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with the same respect I'd want someone to show mine. I'll keep everything clean and tidy, follow any instructions you've provided, and make sure your pet feels safe and secure in their familiar environment. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages after each visit, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, well cared for, and in good hands.
About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets for years. My own dog Koi, a 5-year-old mixed breed, lives with us full-time and is great with other dogs, so your pup will have a built-in playmate. Koi and I go on daily walks together, rain or shine, so your dog will always get plenty of exercise and attention. I work from home, so there's almost always someone around to give your pup attention, bathroom breaks, and playtime throughout the day. Daily walks are already part of my routine with my dog Koi, so your pet will easily join in on that consistent schedule. I don't have a fenced yard, but have plenty of grass space right at home plus a park just a short walk away for extra playtime and exercise. My 5 yr old mixed breed dog, Koi, is friendly and great with other dogs and will keep your fur baby company. Koi lives in our house full-time, so guest dogs join an already calm, settled home environment. Since I work from home, your dog won't be left alone for long stretches. Weekends are quite active in our house, often including 8+ mile hikes or long lake days, so your pup will get plenty of outdoor adventure.
“We had never left Benji with anyone before Christina. She was so kind and kept us up to date with how Benji was doing. It was a great experience for Benji and for us. We can highly recommend her. The yard was huge and he had other dogs to play with. So grateful for the kindness and consideration.”

“Jeannine took great care of my senior dog who required special medication and treatment during her stay while we were in Steamboat. Perfect place for her to nap and relax over the weekend!”

“Jessie did an amazing job boarding our dog for over two weeks during the holidays! Our dog made great friends with her Goldens. She gave us updates everyday. We'll be return customers for sure!”

“Just Perfect! Hadley was SO caring and thoughtful when watching our dog Abby. Hadley sent daily updates and pictures so we knew Abby was having a good time and it gave us confidence that she was in good hands while we were away. When we picked Abby up and took her home she was calm and settled in right away which shows how content she was. We had been worried about leaving Abby as she didn’t do well when we left her at a different boarder, but those fears are long gone now. We definitely will be using Hadley in the future!”

About: I love dogs and have had many of them, so I am excited to watch your dog! My entire family love to meet new dogs and make friends I work from home, and my son loves spending time with dogs when he is home in the evenings and weekends. I walk in the morning, afternoon, and evening, and feed on schedule. I take dogs out on leash and keep them in a secure, climate-controlled room when we must leave the house. I walk dogs at least 15 minutes every 4 hours.
“Suzannah did an amazing job with my dog! She sent pictures and videos every day and kept me updated on how she was doing. She even dropped my dog off when I was short on time on the pickup day! Would definitely book her again.”

About: I've had and taken care of many types of pets. I can offer my dog and pet care services with confidence and reliability. If you're boarding, I have a large house with a large fenced yard. My yard can also be divided and fenced off within. I do own dogs of my own that love to play and will sure keep each other busy! Dogs/pets are family here, I limit the amount of dogs to maintain a personalized experience in our home. We want to create a cozy-at-home feeling, so they will be comfortable, spoiled, warm and loved. I'm comfortable with puppies and senior dogs. I am a stay at home mom so I am home all day for any activities, and also have a partner who loves to help with doggie love and care! I will care for your pets as you care for them to the best of my ability. Whether in your home or mine, I'll provide attention, play, good feedback with treats and toys, exercise and cuddles! Ill provide a cozy-at-home environment with lots of love! All dogs get full access to the house, furniture and bed and treats!
“Elisabeth is phenomenal! She watched our pups for 5 days and provided them with the best care. She was very aware of each dog’s needs/rules and was so attentive. We also had some logistical complexity during our time in Steamboat, and she was so easy to work with, super communicative, and very helpful!”

“Suzanne and her family took fantastic care of our older golden. Suzanne sent regular updates and it was obvious our pup had a blast. I will definitely use Suzanne for again next time we have a Steamboat ski weekend.”

About: I grew up on a farm and have taken care of all kinds of animals my entire life. I love animals, and will treat your pets with the same love and care as I do for my own (1 cat one dog, both good with other animals). I have raised multiple cats and dogs throughout my life. I am working full time during the week, 8-4 Monday-Friday. I work as a life enrichment coordinator at Casey's pond, where I actually bring my dog (and sometimes my cat!) to work and they get to spend time with residents. This job allows me a lot of flexibility, and I am able to come home every 2 hours. I am free every weekend, and overnight care is also possible with my schedule. I have a fenced in yard and an guest bedroom which your pet could stay in, we are also able to fit a crate in here. My pets are allowed on all the furniture. I have a well behaved 1.5 year old dog who would love nothing more than to show your dog (or cat) around our house, and a 13 year old cat who is absolutely oblivious to any other animals and just does her own thing. I love spending time outside and will play with / walk your dogs if desired!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hayden
Gabby is amazing! She is so responsible and trustworthy, and goes the extra mile to care for our dogs and housesit too. Gabby was a lifesaver stepping in at the last minute so I could go on a trip, and when our flights changed she juggled her schedule and stayed longer. I was nervous about letting a stranger in our house as had not used Rover befoe, but the minute I met her it was like she was a long time family friend. And I could tell from the pics that our dogs lover her.

Godsent! Gabby (And Scott & Teddy) have truly been a blessing for our family while we have been in Steamboat Springs, CO for the summer. They split the dogsitting location between staying in our home on the days they work and at their house in Hayden on their off days where they have lots of fenced yard and take the pups on long walks. Their doodle, Teddy, is the cutest and plays really well with our doodle even though Teddy is half the size of our pup. Gabby sends frequent updates with pics. She has been more than flexible and accommodating when I needed to add extra days during our trip. She has been willing to pickup or drops our pup when schedule allows. Gabby has such a caring energy and loves on pups. We’ve also had the opportunity to see Gabby at her full time job when we were in the Ski Resort area and to no surprise, she demonstrated a friendly, professional business side at work as well. My only hesitation in writing this review is the fear that she will be booked when we need her next time we are in town bc we do not want any other dogsitter for our pup! She is amazing! Thank you for everything, Gabby.

Chad was so incredible to our dog. He really let her become part of the family. He gave her delicious food, let her sleep with the family in the bed, took her on plenty of walks, sent a ton of updates. She was in heat and he handled the diapers and her need for love so well. I felt so assured that she was having a really good time, and when we got back to her she wasn’t anxious at all. This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on Rover. I can’t recommend him enough. He was super flexible and accommodating and overall, a really good person who gave our girl so much love and comfort.
