“Marissa is so warm and wonderful! Jackson had a great walk and a nice nap when he got home. The timing was perfect, too! They got home right before it started to rain!!!”

About: I love all animals and have experience with animals with minor medical needs (ie. pills, shots, creams, etc). I have 2 dogs and am a 4x foster with LCHS with three of them being medical foster puppies. I also have 6 cats who have all come from different situations and back rounds. I excel at following your pets schedule and needs. I commonly house sit for a 100+ lb dog and am more than willing to watch your dog at my home as long as they are good with other dogs and cats. I work a full time job M-F but am able to do lunchtime potty breaks. If you are interested in booking over weekdays it would be best that your fur baby can be alone for 4 hour increments. If your pet is people/pet friendly and you approve I am able to bring dogs to my office space. We do not have a fenced yard but live in a very walkable area. Our dogs are crate trained and we have no problem crating your fur baby or leaving them out per your preference.

“I’m so grateful for Kelly! She’s helped me out twice in a last-minute pinch and was incredibly reliable, responsive, and kind. Lucy was well cared for and happy, and I had total peace of mind. Highly recommend!”

“Katie was exceptional. She showed up on time, she was pleasant, she treated my dog like her own, and went above and beyond on the walks. We are so happy with her attention to detail and care.”

About: I've cared for furry friends since I could walk. My family raised me in an environment where caring for animals was a form of education, and one I'm happy to share every day. I own a business that operates in a seasonal fashion. This affords me the opportunity to be available where most aren't. Whether that be for day visits and walks, or night time check ins. My home is great for dogs. My old boy loves company. He's very gentle. I have access to walking trails as well. I am happy to accommodate for kennel trained or non-kennel trained.

About: I’ve been pet sitting for family for years now and figured it’s time to branch out the business. I live alone, have a large back yard and a nice park nearby my house. I would pet sit at times when I am available to and take on pets in a manner that makes logistical sense for me and my schedule. I check on them and look for any signs of obvious discomfort or distress. Make sure they have time to use the bathroom/clean litter box and water. Most animals will try and communicate to you what they need, so it’s good to follow the routines they have at home and interpret what they need and at what time.
About: I have five cats and a dog of my own. I love exploring new trails and finding new places to walk. I also have experience administering medication to pets. I grew up with a dog that needed lots of medicine. I have plenty of experience with injections, pills, and liquids. I will treat your baby like my own. I truly miss the animals I watch when I inevitably have to leave. I hope you will trust me with your baby soon! I currently work part time and I am in nursing school. I can try to make any booking work with advance notice. Please reach out and we can make it work! I am very careful with making sure harnesses are on and safe. I make sure the water and food bowl are full and nothing is out that is dangerous.

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and care I have for animals. Ever since I was young, people have trusted me to look after their pets because they knew I’d treat them with patience, kindness, and attention. I’ve been an animal lover since I was about five years old, and caring for pets has always come naturally to me. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, overnight stays, or simply keeping them company, I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I work part-time with a flexible schedule, which allows me plenty of time to provide attentive, reliable care for your pets. Whether it’s daily walks, drop-in visits, playtime, or overnight stays, I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine to make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep them on their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable. I’ll follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medication if needed, and any other specific requests. I’ll also make sure your home is treated with respect and kept clean while you’re away. My goal is to provide loving, dependable care so both you and your pet have peace of mind.
About: As retirees, Steven and I have reached a point in our lives where we have the time and freedom to pursue something we truly love...caring for our furry friends! We have 2 great guys of our own, Mac and Zac! Our flexible schedules have afforded us plenty of time to devote to those 2, providing them with the absolute best loving and safe home environment. In fact, we think they think we retired just for them! They have never been happier. And we know your pet (s) will love being with us too. We absolutely hated when we had to choose to lodge our guys in an impersonal setting, such as a commercial kennel. So we decided to "pay it forward" and offer others a much better alternative for their pets. Not to mention, the peace of mind of knowing that your pets are in the best of care. So whether it's walks, playtime or just good company, we are here to help! Being retired affords us the opportunity to be home daily. Therefore, our services are available 7 days a week. We love being outdoors but more than anything, we love pets! We've found that dogs have a sense of routine. Changes in that routine can be over-stimulating. Therefore, the preferred setting for dogs is to be either in their own homes or in a more personal home-like setting. That's why our services are so vital. Theirs definitely NO PLACE LIKE HOME (or HOME-LIKE) . We offer spacious climate controlled accommodations which include: 1. 2 - Generous size sleeping suite with room to move around and relax comfortably. 2. Comfy and clean doggie beds or you can choose to bring your own. 3. Individual feeding station which includes filtrated water dispensers 4. Personal Care - Individualized care catering to dog's unique needs and preferences

About: I’ve been very passionate about animal care ever since I was a young girl. My experience varies from volunteering to personal experiences. I’m currently a volunteer at the Tallahassee Museum working as an Animal Caretaker. Many friends and family have put their trust in me to take care of and watch their pets for a period of time. I house and care for ALOT of animals of my own, 3 dogs and 4 cats! I enjoy putting in the time to make these animals feel loved and cared for! I understand that providing quality care takes time, patience, and dedication, and I make sure every pet receives the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. Whether it’s a quick walk or extended care, I’m committed to being dependable and fully present for every visit. At home, I care for my pets with consistency, patience, and attention to their individual needs. My dogs have access to a secure fenced-in yard, are taken outside at least four times a day, always have fresh water available, receive balanced meals every morning and evening, and enjoy plenty of exercise through long walks, games of fetch, and playtime. My cats are fed balanced meals twice a day, have fresh water at all times, and enjoy daily enrichment with interactive toys and cat-friendly videos. I keep their litter box clean by scooping it every day and completely changing the litter every 4-5 days. For their safety and well-being, my cats are kept indoors, where they can thrive in a clean, enriching environment.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Havana. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Havana.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
