“Xenia was so good with our kitties. We loved having someone we trusted take care of our babies while we were gone and it was so comforting knowing they were happy. She sent pictures and even was able to get our shy girl to come out while she was there. We would use Xenia again in a heartbeat and are so grateful we found her!”

“Stephanie is the best with our cat, Maggie! We can tell that she really enjoys being around our cat and in turn our cat really enjoys being around Stephanie. We get the best updates from her and always feel that our kitty is well cared for. Thank you Stephanie!”

“Brianna was amazing she took care of me with very short notice. She did a great meet and greet the puppies loved her she kept me up-to-date the entire time I was gone with pictures and status thank you Brianna I look forward to using you again”
About: I have years of experience with horses, dogs, and cats. I have always had pets growing up, from small mutts to large high drive German Shepherds (currently have them!). I have knowledge of most breeds and their traits, which I believe helps you understand the pet itself. I have worked as an equine veterinary technician before for 2 years, which has exposed me to many different types of pets, big and small! I currently am self employed and run my own business. I enjoy going on walks and figured why not get a new buddy to go with me! I love animals and would much prefer hanging out with your cat, or dog than anything else really. I'll alway make time to pet that dog! (or cat, we don't play favorites. But we all know cats decide when they want to be pet. ;) ) I always put safety and comfort first. I follow each pet’s routine so they feel at ease, make sure they have fresh food and water, and keep their space calm and secure. Whether I’m in my home or yours, I treat every pet like they’re my own—with love, patience, and attention.
“Sarah was dependable and prompt. She did a great job taking care of our cat, and watered my plants. She was available on short notice, and her price was reasonable.”

“Jessalyn did a great job dropping in on our cat while we were on vacation! She sent lots of pictures, played with him with toys so he didn’t get super bored, and took very good care of him with food, water, and cat treats. His litter box was clean and he had been brushed as requested. We will definitely use her again 😊👍”

“Shachel did a great job of taking care of my 3 cats while I was away! I really enjoyed getting the update notifications and pictures, and I had peace of mind that my babies were in good hands while I was gone! Highly recommend Shachel!”

About: I've taken care of a wide variety of animals ranging from dags and cats to horses and lizards! I have lots of experience with large and energetic dogs in particular! During the summer I am free all day every day and can spend as much time walking or just hanging out with your pets as they need! I treat all animals with respect and love, making sure to pay attention to their needs and comfort, but I am not afraid to be assertive when needed.
“I'm so glad that I found Rover to help me with my cat while I was on vacation. Sherin took good care of Toby and I was relieved to see that he was happy upon my return home..”

“Just amazing. Katie was willing to come in to help us with our pup on very short notice, took great care of the dog and sent us a dozen+ glamor shots to show how much fun they had. Thank you!”

About: I have always had dogs since I was a kid and I love to take them out on hikes, walks, to the beach, and playing fetch in the yard! I have watched dogs for my family and friends and I love being with animals! I am currently not working or in school and have lots of time to hangout at home with the pets! I love being outside and going on walks or swims with the animals! I have a doggy door at my house with a nice fenced yard and plenty of toys for the animals! I am home all day and love to spend time with animals! I have two friendly dogs and a sweet cat! One is a golden retriever and she is very sweet with other dogs but mostly sleeps all day. The other one is a pointer and loves to play and run around! Our cat is usually sleeping or climbing around outside.

About: My father taught me about life by giving me pets since I was able to walk. Animals are a gift and should be treated like they are family. I work full time, but I still have plenty of time to take care of your pets. Having a small farm myself, my kids, who are older, pitch in to give animals all the care and love they need! I have a fenced in property and enclosed kennels for exercise. I also enjoy taking them on walks and playing ball with them outside. Any specific requests will try to be honored…

About: Hello! My Name is Emily. I am absolutely obsessed with giving your animal all the love and care they deserve. I have been a personal dog owner for about as long as i can remember (lets say since I was 10). I love having a fur baby to walk, play with, and care for. I love meeting new animals and every time I do I love to form a strong connection with the animal. I would 100% say that I am and animal person and I enjoy working with pets more than anything. I also want to say its not just about the pet, I will work hard to understand YOUR personal needs and help as much as I can. It's hard to balance life and work and I hope to help make the strain a little bearable. Thank you and have a great day.
About: I have had dogs in my household all my life so I am fairly experienced with animals. I have had several opportunities house sitting and dog sitting for neighbors and friends. I am currently working in Spokane. I work Monday - Friday 8-5pm and occasionally on call weekends. I am free and available anytime outside of these hours. I currently live in a small single apartment that is pet friendly. It is on the 2nd floor but there is plenty of grassy areas and parks nearby.
About: I absolutely love dogs and I am passionate about their care! I have over 40 years of experience working with animals, and dogs are my passion. I have always considered them as part of the family, and treat them that way. I no longer have a dog of my own, so your pet will be loved and cared for in a one on one home setting. Being a Rover sitter is the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I work from home, so I am able to stick to the schedule you have set and that also means lots of play breaks together in our large fenced yard! I will send you daily updates and pictures to keep you posted. I personally know how difficult it is to leave your pet behind and not worry. My goal is to provide a safe, positive, loving, and engaging experience for all dogs, and allow you as a pet parent to vacation or be at work without any stress or concern about the well-being of your fur-baby. I have experience with administering medications, preparing specialty foods, and I am familiar with basic training techniques.
“Cailee did a great job taking care of my pup while I was out of town for work. She was even available for an additional day (at the last minute) due to flight delays on my part. Consider me a repeat customer.”

Juliana was a great help when it came time to find a cat sitter over the holiday! It was a last minute booking but her quick communication and welcoming persona was reassuring that I was leaving my pet in good hands. She’s hardworking, exceptionally punctual, and was wonderful with keeping me up to date and letting me know what my cat was up to during the day. Thanks Juliana!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 538 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Hauser. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hauser. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
