Randi professionally amicably, efficiently and thoroughly cared for my Shih Tzu during this last trip that I was gone out of state. I really appreciate the way that she took care of my dog and documented with thorough feedback. I feel confident using rover.com because of the communication and the insurance.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was born. I currently have 2 big dogs and 6 cats at my home. I’ve pet sat for friends and family and sometimes I come over just to see their fur babies. I love going on walks with dogs but also snuggling up on the couch with my babies. I currently have a 8am-4pm job but it’s with family so they are very flexible if I need to leave and come back during the day. I’m currently enrolled in college online perusing a degree in marketing as well. I’m a very gentle person and I have a lot of respect for animals space. I don’t like to rush or make them feel threatened by me. I often however, hit it off very well with pets and love to play with them! I have tons of acres at my home so my dogs like to run free or on a leash if needed.

About: 52 years old, cyclist, yogi, gardener. I’m genuinely committed to the belief that all souls deserve to experience loving arms, care and acceptance during their lifetime. Part time knitting and crochet instructor. Home most days and every weekend. Currently working at my own leisure and looking to do more service for the dependent ones. My favorite time of day is sunset and my favorite day is Monday. I can go to your home or your babies can come here.

About: I have taken care of family members', family friends', neighbors', houses, pets, and children since I have been in high school and I am now a 2023 graduate from Central Michigan University. I have taken care of senior pets, both cats and dogs, for several days at a time. I am comfortable with giving medication and tending to any other special needs your fur baby may have. I am also comfortable with taking care of several pets at once, as I regularly stay at a household with 6 pets in the home (4 dogs and 2 cats). I have a dog of my own and I strive to care for others' pets as they are my own. I am currently a nursing student at Oakland University. I am in the accelerated program and my schedule changes every 6-7 weeks. Until 4/16, I have 12 hour clinical days at Troy Corewell on Thursdays and Sundays and class 3 days a week ending at 2 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays, then 10:30 AM on Tuesdays in the Auburn Hills area. I am also available in the Macomb and St. Clair areas. I am completely comfortable with staying in the home with pets to keep them on their routines in a familar environment. I have stayed one night up to 2 weeks, so I am flexible with whatever you or your pets may need. My dog loves to play with other dogs, so I can introduce them if requested.

About: Hello there, I'm Kya, and I'm absolutely passionate about animals and their well-being. Ever since I was a kid, I've had the joy of being a dog owner myself, and I understand the importance of giving our furry friends the best care possible. Whether it's ensuring they're well-fed, pampered, engaged in play, or simply under careful watch, I'm dedicated to making sure your beloved companion is in great hands. What makes me special is that I bring a range of skills to the table. I know how to train dogs and teach them exciting new tricks. My patience extends to both young and old dogs, and I'm experienced in helping dogs with anxiety to ensure they feel comfortable and secure. Plus, I'm not afraid of any dog or cat - they're all unique and wonderful in their own way! For me, this isn't just a job; it's an exciting daily bonus. I can't wait to welcome your pet into my care and provide them with the love and attention they deserve. Let's embark on this furry adventure together! 🐾💕 I’ve have full open availability to come give your pets my undivided attention, I will work around your schedule, since my weekly routine has recently changed. I currently share my home with two delightful baby boy dogs, and my heart belongs to my beloved lab. My approach to caring for my pets revolves around giving them the attention and care they deserve. I have a knack for understanding their needs through their body language. My pups are well-trained and even have a clever bell system to let me know when they need to go out or yearn for a refreshing walk. Safety is paramount, so I always keep a watchful eye when they're outdoors. I thoroughly enjoy outdoor playtime with them, engaging in activities like hide & seek, tag, and fetch to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. When it comes to their meals, I'm vigilant about maintaining a balanced diet that aligns with their health conditions. But most importantly, I cherish the moments when I can comfort them during moments of anxiety, finding gentle ways to bring calm to their world. Your pets will be in caring and capable hands with me!.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Harsens Island. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Harsens Island. On Rover:

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
