About: Hello! My name is Mike and I've been fostering dogs since 2019. I've had approximately 18 come and go, only foster "failing" (foster dogs who I ended up keeping) with two who stayed and had the best golden years. I lost my most recent boy in August, a blind Bichon, just shy of his 12th birthday and after 3 great years. He was type-1 diabetic and blind, and after so much time as a foster getting his insulin regulated, he decided I was his forever family. He had a sister when I got him, a senior Yorkie with diabetes insipidus and a host of health issues. All that is to say I'm a professional at insulin, rigid medication schedules and diet maintenance. Presently I have no dogs of my own. When it comes to your dog, I'll keep your daily routine and walk schedules too, so your pups stay is as minimally disruptive to their normal routine as possible. I've fostered dogs of many breeds from Chihuahuas and a Rat Terrier to a Golden Retriever and Saint Bernard. I've had as many as 4 dogs at once so I'm open to having multiple pups at once. I'll never accept dogs from multiple families unless both families are booking together and the dogs are socialized with each other already. And I'll never cancel a confirmed stay for a more lucrative multi-dog request. I live alone in a detached house in Wallaceburg, and I work from home so your dog won't be left alone aside from short errands. I'm not big on crating dogs, leaving them free to be where they like while I'm gone. I have a den with glass door if you tell me they need smaller quarters, or you can bring your crate for me to use. I have a large fenced yard for playing fetch or dogs who need to run. This is a total dog house. I bought it due to its flat land and not having stairs, and I built a ramp down to the yard. I installed a dog door but it will stay blocked unless having access is suitable for your pups. Dogs are welcome on the couch and the bed, and will have free roam of the house (there's no basement, and garage isn't accessible). House sitting radius: the Rover app limits a 100km radius when setting the territory I can offer the services. I've got my radius set Eastward to circle Toronto, as I grew up there and love an opportunity to take gigs that get me into the city. Unfortunately I can't draw a circle that includes Windsor, but I'm happy to take gigs there too. If you're in London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, Brantford, or the GTA, and you have a dog that can be left alone for 2-3hrs max, I may be willing to offer discounts on price so I can catch up with family and friends in those areas while I'm there. If you have any questions or you'd like to arrange a tour or meet and greet, don't hesitate to reach out. I work fulltime hours from home, typical office hours. I'm usually awake by 7am and bed by midnight. I don't have many friends in town so I'm home most of the time. My yard is fully fenced. I have a couple Tile tracking tags that I can attach to their collar if they're an escape artist (or you'd like to track your pups location remotely). Hazardous items like cleaning products are kept in cupboards or in my detached garage. My house is pretty dog proofed and I'm not concerned if your pup has an accident. That's what mops and upholstery cleaners are for. I think I've developed pretty good dog body language, and only correct misbehaviour by command and redirection. I'm a bit of a sucker that let's them get carried away when they're being silly, but particularly with bigger dogs I'll make sure their training is maintained (no jumping up to greet, making sure they don't assert dominance etc.)

I often sit 1-4 dogs at a time; so your pet must be able to get along with other dogs. I will take your pets on daily walks and supervise them outside frequently to potty. I don’t use crates unless the owner requests; and the babies sleep with me! For dogs that might be a bit nervous or crabby away from home, I use lavender and chamomile oils to sooth their nerves. About: I’ve done a lot of puppy raising and training. I have had 6 labs that I have raised and trained from 6 weeks old on. I also have experience with senior dogs, giving medication and helping them to get around and be comfortable. I would love to watch your new puppy while you are away for the day or longer. I can help with basic training socialization. I am occasionally subbing for special education at a school at the corner of my street. If I happen to get called into sub I am able to come home at lunch only leaving the dogs for a few hours at a time. I have a 5 year old yellow Labrador that is very friendly and gets along very well with other dogs. I have a spacious, fully fenced yard—and a built-in companion! About: Hello pet lovers! I have a huge fenced in back yard in a beautiful area. A very loving and playful home. I have been working with dogs since I was just a kid as well as cats and birds. I am home all day everyday with your pets so they won't feel such separation anxiety. I am home every day of the week all day so I can give alot of personal care to your fur babies. We usually start our day around 7am with some breakfast and dinner around 5pm depending on your dog's feeding schedule. I always have lots of bowls of water all over and outside. There is a large crate incase your pet needs crate training. The house is puppy proof since I have one of my own so the house is very safe for all pets.

About: Growing up I have loved animals and wanted to have a career with animals. Rover is just one way I can do that! Growing up I had a multiple animals that were childhood pets that I’ve adored. I am the type of person that will stop a stranger just to say hello to their furry friends! They are my spoiled little fur babies that get tons of cuddles, kisses, bark box toys, cat scratchers, etc. They love sleeping on the bed with us under the covers, head on pillow Lol! Overall, pet care fits into my daily routine because I feed, walk, and play with my own animals all day and make sure they are loved on and taken care of just as I would do the same for your own! They have tons of toys that are played with, I let them lay in the bed with me or chill on the couch. I feed them every morning and water them frequently. I walk them every 30mins-1 hour. I will also play with them outside etc. they cuddle and get plenty of belly rubs and scratches while I’m near. I am the type of person who loves seeing your pets and will think about them all the time even if I only watched them once! I love bringing them toys and treats! The phrase I have never met a stranger resonates with me in human and animal aspect! I love meeting new people and animals are always a plus! Pet care is always my top priority. I chose to animal sit over my part time job. I want your pets to have the best care possible. If I ever have work I make sure it’s not longer than a few hours. I want your fur babies to always be attended to and taken care of. I have several pets in my own home that are mine. They are kennel trained and leash trained. I don’t keep my dogs locked up nor would I do that to your pets. I treat your pets like my own. I will give them cuddles and kisses and send you tons of pictures.

A 4 year old Chihuahua (Minnie) who’s spayed and up to date on all of her vaccines and Loki-a 2 year old cat. He is also neutered and also up to date on all of his vaccines. In the event you need to cancel your stay before the day of dropoff please let us know 3 days ahead before the dropoff so we can help cancel the booking. I work for Rover full time. During feedings we ensure each guest is fed in separate spaces. My loving husband is working from home most of the time as well. Together we also have 2 very caring, loving, passionate children ages 9 and 16 who also help out occasionally with walks, and potty breaks. Both of our boys love to play outdoors and run in the yard with our fur baby besties! We also conduct 2-3 walks a day to ensure our guest are getting the exercise they need. If your fur baby doesn’t care for walks please ensure to tell us prior to the stay. we also conduct monitored every hour potty breaks in our large fenced in yard as well. We have a large fenced in yard and a friendly dog-Minnie to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed but not necessary.

I’m a huge dog lover, so making pups as happy as can be is just second nature to me! I am able to work weekends and some week days depending where you are. I am a Marine so I must schedule appointments primarily on weekends and week day evenings. I primarily focus on dog walking and know good routes and parks for dogs. In terms of sitting I have toys to keep them occupied. Also for days scheduled ahead of time I am willing to travel far outside of my vicinity.

As someone who grew up with pets of all temperaments (from escape artists to insanely energetic to couch potatoes), I am able to build relationships with each pet individually and anticipate their wants and needs. Pets are just as smart (if not smarter ;) than people, and I make it a given that I treat them as such. There are no silly questions or requests! I am happy to cater to what YOU believe and know your pet needs, and work especially hard to keep you updated (unless you request against it). I’m a super cautious and paranoid person, which at times can be a negative. In terms of pet care, though, this means that nothing will slip through the cracks. Any concerns that may in the past have gone unnoticed will be meticulously catered to.
