“If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. My baby was scared and hesitant to come out but Latara and her family couldn't have been more patient with him. She updated me everyday, as many times as I needed to be at ease, and never made me feel like I was asking for too much. Her pets, especially her cat, Loki, seemed to be really excited to meet and play with him but my baby has never played with cats so he was scared and Loki seemed understanding of that. I can't thank them enough!! She kept me updated on when he came out, when he ate, when he used the bathroom and it was extremely apparent that she cared about his wellbeing as much as I do. About: Hello! My name is Mike and I've been fostering dogs since 2019. I've had approximately 18 come and go, only foster "failing" (foster dogs who I ended up keeping) with two who stayed and had the best golden years. I lost my most recent boy in August, a blind Bichon, just shy of his 12th birthday and after 3 great years. He was type-1 diabetic and blind, and after so much time as a foster getting his insulin regulated, he decided I was his forever family. He had a sister when I got him, a senior Yorkie with diabetes insipidus and a host of health issues. All that is to say I'm a professional at insulin, rigid medication schedules and diet maintenance. Presently I have no dogs of my own. When it comes to your dog, I'll keep your daily routine and walk schedules too, so your pups stay is as minimally disruptive to their normal routine as possible. I've fostered dogs of many breeds from Chihuahuas and a Rat Terrier to a Golden Retriever and Saint Bernard. I've had as many as 4 dogs at once so I'm open to having multiple pups at once. I'll never accept dogs from multiple families unless both families are booking together and the dogs are socialized with each other already. And I'll never cancel a confirmed stay for a more lucrative multi-dog request. I live alone in a detached house in Wallaceburg, and I work from home so your dog won't be left alone aside from short errands. I'm not big on crating dogs, leaving them free to be where they like while I'm gone. I have a den with glass door if you tell me they need smaller quarters, or you can bring your crate for me to use. I have a large fenced yard for playing fetch or dogs who need to run. This is a total dog house. I bought it due to its flat land and not having stairs, and I built a ramp down to the yard. I installed a dog door but it will stay blocked unless having access is suitable for your pups. Dogs are welcome on the couch and the bed, and will have free roam of the house (there's no basement, and garage isn't accessible). House sitting radius: the Rover app limits a 100km radius when setting the territory I can offer the services. I've got my radius set Eastward to circle Toronto, as I grew up there and love an opportunity to take gigs that get me into the city. Unfortunately I can't draw a circle that includes Windsor, but I'm happy to take gigs there too. If you're in London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, Brantford, or the GTA, and you have a dog that can be left alone for 2-3hrs max, I may be willing to offer discounts on price so I can catch up with family and friends in those areas while I'm there. If you have any questions or you'd like to arrange a tour or meet and greet, don't hesitate to reach out. I work fulltime hours from home, typical office hours. I'm usually awake by 7am and bed by midnight. I don't have many friends in town so I'm home most of the time. My yard is fully fenced. I have a couple Tile tracking tags that I can attach to their collar if they're an escape artist (or you'd like to track your pups location remotely). Hazardous items like cleaning products are kept in cupboards or in my detached garage. My house is pretty dog proofed and I'm not concerned if your pup has an accident. That's what mops and upholstery cleaners are for. I think I've developed pretty good dog body language, and only correct misbehaviour by command and redirection. I'm a bit of a sucker that let's them get carried away when they're being silly, but particularly with bigger dogs I'll make sure their training is maintained (no jumping up to greet, making sure they don't assert dominance etc.)

About: I’ve done a lot of puppy raising and training. I have had 6 labs that I have raised and trained from 6 weeks old on. I also have experience with senior dogs, giving medication and helping them to get around and be comfortable. I would love to watch your new puppy while you are away for the day or longer. I can help with basic training socialization. I am occasionally subbing for special education at a school at the corner of my street. If I happen to get called into sub I am able to come home at lunch only leaving the dogs for a few hours at a time. I have a huge fenced in yard where we love to take each guest outdoors (weather permitting) I’m available for boarding on weekends most holidays and weekdays as well! I have a 4 bedroom house with a large fenced backyard, family room and and a finished basement which has enough space for our furry guest to play around as well. Guest walk our home freely. We provide beds, toys, and treats. However, you are more than welcome to bring anything for your fur baby to make them feel comfortable and at home. Currently we have 2 pets of our own in our home. A 4 year old Chihuahua (Minnie) who’s spayed and up to date on all of her vaccines and Loki-a 2 year old cat. He is also neutered and also up to date on all of his vaccines. Please don’t worry as they both are very friendly and enjoy playing with each of our guest. If you have any concerns please feel free to reach out. In the event you need to cancel your stay before the day of dropoff please let us know 3 days ahead before the dropoff so we can help cancel the booking. I work for Rover full time. During feedings we ensure each guest is fed in separate spaces. My loving husband is working from home most of the time as well. Together we also have 2 very caring, loving, passionate children ages 9 and 16 who also help out occasionally with walks, and potty breaks. Both of our boys love to play outdoors and run in the yard with our fur baby besties! We also conduct 2-3 walks a day to ensure our guest are getting the exercise they need. If your fur baby doesn’t care for walks please ensure to tell us prior to the stay. we also conduct monitored every hour potty breaks in our large fenced in yard as well. We have a large fenced in yard and a friendly dog-Minnie to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed but not necessary.
About: Growing up I have loved animals and wanted to have a career with animals. Rover is just one way I can do that! Growing up I had a multiple animals that were childhood pets that I’ve adored. I am the type of person that will stop a stranger just to say hello to their furry friends! I enjoy dog sitting and meeting so many unique breeds and animals that I can form a bond with the animal and the owners! I love the experiences and becoming someone trustworthy to have as a repeat client! I currently work 4pm-10pm a few days out of the week. I have a bachelors in human sciences. I myself have threes dog and a cat that are all rescues. They are my spoiled little fur babies that get tons of cuddles, kisses, bark box toys, cat scratchers, etc. They love sleeping on the bed with us under the covers, head on pillow Lol! Overall, pet care fits into my daily routine because I feed, walk, and play with my own animals all day and make sure they are loved on and taken care of just as I would do the same for your own! They have tons of toys that are played with, I let them lay in the bed with me or chill on the couch. I feed them every morning and water them frequently. I walk them every 30mins-1 hour. I will also play with them outside etc. they cuddle and get plenty of belly rubs and scratches while I’m near. I am the type of person who loves seeing your pets and will think about them all the time even if I only watched them once! I love bringing them toys and treats! The phrase I have never met a stranger resonates with me in human and animal aspect! I love meeting new people and animals are always a plus! Pet care is always my top priority. I chose to animal sit over my part time job. I want your pets to have the best care possible. If I ever have work I make sure it’s not longer than a few hours. I want your fur babies to always be attended to and taken care of. I have several pets in my own home that are mine. They are kennel trained and leash trained. I don’t keep my dogs locked up nor would I do that to your pets. I treat your pets like my own. I will give them cuddles and kisses and send you tons of pictures.
About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals since I was young! Growing up we had dogs, cats, horses, cattle, chickens and more. I have taken many veterinary medicine related classes as well as exotics. I can care for senior pets, puppies, and everything in between with the same love and care that I would my own. I also volunteer at the local animal shelter where I have gained even more experience with animals of different temperaments. Your pets will be safe with me! I currently work full-time but I am always looking to switch up my routine. I am awake early for my job so walking or taking pets out for the bathroom and breakfast in the morning perfectly aligns. The same goes for when I am home from work. During the weekends, I tend to be outside so walks, hikes, trips in the car are frequent. I will follow all guidelines given to me by the pet parent. I will also pay special attention to medical cases, seniors or those who may need it. With me, there will be lots of snuggles, potty breaks, walks, and vital checks (if needed) just like with my own fur babies. I can crate if needed but I prefer not too if it is not necessary.
About: My motto is that it’s my responsibility to make sure each dog is happy and safe. As a former pet owner myself, I completely understand how important dogs are to our lives, so it is imperative that I make sure your pup gets to experience the same kind of love and care they’re used to with their respective owners. I’m a huge dog lover, so making pups as happy as can be is just second nature to me! I am able to work weekends and some week days depending where you are. I am a Marine so I must schedule appointments primarily on weekends and week day evenings. I primarily focus on dog walking and know good routes and parks for dogs. In terms of sitting I have toys to keep them occupied. Also for days scheduled ahead of time I am willing to travel far outside of my vicinity.
About: I have taken care of family members', family friends', neighbors', houses, pets, and children since I have been in high school and I am now a 2023 graduate from Central Michigan University. I have taken care of senior pets, both cats and dogs, for several days at a time. I am comfortable with giving medication and tending to any other special needs your fur baby may have. I am also comfortable with taking care of several pets at once, as I regularly stay at a household with 6 pets in the home (4 dogs and 2 cats). I am in the accelerated program and my schedule changes every 6-7 weeks. Until 4/16, I have 12 hour clinical days at Troy Corewell on Thursdays and Sundays and class 3 days a week ending at 2 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays, then 10:30 AM on Tuesdays in the Auburn Hills area. I am also available in the Macomb and St. Clair areas. I am completely comfortable with staying in the home with pets to keep them on their routines in a familar environment. I have stayed one night up to 2 weeks, so I am flexible with whatever you or your pets may need. My dog loves to play with other dogs, so I can introduce them if requested.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a little girl I currently have two pitbull one I’ve adopted and the other one I’ve had since it was a puppy and she currently has mast cell tumors so I am great with dogs that have special needs elderly dogs, adopted dogs, and just any kind of animal in general my goal is to open up a rescue one day I work from home.
