“Nathan did a wonderful job taking care of our fur babies. They liked him a lot when he came by for a meet and greet. He was great at keeping us updated on all the visits we asked of him.”

About: I grew up with dogs: Jayda-lab/border collie mix and Scottie + Jasmine-Scottish Terriers. I personally trained all 3 to be house trained and all sorts of tricks! From “Speak!” to “Roll Over!”, “Dance!” to “Play Dead!” my dogs could do all the basics along with giving all the loves and cuddles. Now I have my own family and my daughter, Penelope, is DYING for a cat or dog and I want her to learn what it takes to be responsible for a pet (at least in part). Help me teach my daughter (who will be my sidekick if you’re ok with her tagging along when she can), and I promise I’ll love on your pet and be a reliable and professional pet helper ♥️ I’m a Stay-At-Home-Mom and Professional Photographer with my own business so flexible is my middle name! I like to fill my pet schedule during the hours my daughter Penelope is home if I can so she can learn the ropes of pet care in preparation for us getting our own pet soon. My schedule may change week to week depending on my other family member’s needs, but I love having a regular routine with regular clients ♥️ I step into your world and try to provide my services in the same way that you would. From walking them, playing with them, making sure they have food/water, your pet will be well loved while you’re away. I love to bring little treats to connect with them in my own way (with your permission of course) ♥️
“Brittney did a great job with our dogs! She was patient with our one dog that is more standoffish, and she was playful with our other dog that plays never ending fetch! I felt that she made sure they were well cared for while we were away. She kept us updated with messages and pictures. Will definitely use her again.”

“Kris was awesome! Sent many pictures of my cat while I was away, which eased me a lot since I get very nervous about leaving my cat. She was also very easy to communicate with and responded quickly”

“Paige was the best dog sitter we’ve ever had! She was on time for every visit, very communicative, and sent lots of photos and videos of our dog while we were away. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Gabriel did a fantastic job with communication, photos, and videos. He came right as expected and went above and beyond on the job. He is truly a wonderful pet sitter that anyone can trust!”

“Jordan was a wonderful sitter and took such great care of my cat while my husband and I were on a long trip. She was consistent with her care and provided detailed updates and adorable pictures. Our chronically shy cat really warmed up to Jordan and they were fast friends. As a bonus, Jordan’s sons were welcome and respectful additions. I loved that our cat got to interact with multiple caring people while we were away.”

“I was so nervous about trying to find someone on Rover to take care of my two dogs. Iris answered my last minute booking and was absolutely amazing! She scheduled a meet and greet, and I knew from that point that she takes this seriously and has a love for animals. She did a great job giving us updates and pictures while we were away, and I felt like my pups were in great hands! I could also tell that my dogs really loved her! 100% will book with Iris again ❤️”

“Joa is awesome! He did such an incredible job taking care of Barky and making sure he got all of the details down. Barky’s (and our) comfort were Joa’s top priority. We greatly appreciate all he did and trust him to watch Barky again!”

About: I’ve loved Dogs and Cats for as long as I can remember. I’ve had cats since I was 5 years old, and they’ve always been an important part of my life. I had my 1st dog in middle school so ,I grew up playing with them, sleeping next to them, and caring for them every day. Being around cats and dogs brings me so much joy, and I understand how to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I will care for your cat or dog as if they were my own. Cats are part of my daily life. I don’t have dogs but I love it and also was my daily life when I live with my parents. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, I’m home most of the time, so I can give them plenty of attention, playtime, and cuddles. During the week, I’m available from 5 PM until the next morning, and I love spending my evenings relaxing with cats by my side. In my routine, cats are never alone—they are always with me, receiving love and care. Having a dog should not be a probleem :) When caring for cats and dogs in my home or in a client’s home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow their feeding schedule, keep their litter box clean, afternoon walks, play with them, give them plenty of attention and affection, and respect their personality and routine. I enjoy spending quality time with cats, whether they want to play, cuddle, or simply relax nearby.Trust me i will not fail:)

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hardscrabble. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
