This was my first time using rover and a dog walker and I’m so glad I decided to give it a try! My pups loved Scott from their initial meet and greet, which was a shocker since they usually give new people in the house a hard time. Scott was on time, sent me photos and updates on their behavior through the website and my pups seemed so happy! I am so thrilled we connected with Scott and I hope he’ll be available if I need help again in the future!

About: I have over 25 years of experience watch dogs. The last two years I have been working with the See Eye Foundation as a Puppy Sitter. I sit for puppies 8 weeks to 13 years old, for a single day to over a week. I also have a 12 year-old English Fox Hound that likes to take me on walks/runs daily I am currently retired and this leave me plenty of time to take care of your dog. I am an avid runner and cyclist, so walking or even running with your dog is not a problem I do not have a fenced yard, but I have a 3-acre property where dogs can roam and run. I do have a 120 foot leash that lets the dogs run without fear of them running away. If your dog likes to play fetch or just do a lot of exploring, the yard is ideal for them. I am also available to do multiple daily check ins and walks if the dog prefers to stay at home.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and grew up actively involved in their daily care, from feeding and walking to helping with training and routines. This lifelong experience has given me a strong understanding of dog behavior, body language, and individual needs. In addition to caring for my own dog, I’ve also helped care for dogs of various sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’m comfortable with energetic pups, as well as dogs who need a calmer, more patient approach. I prioritize safety, consistency, and communication, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. My goal is to provide dependable, attentive care so you can feel confident your dog is in good hands. Pet care is already built into my daily routine since I’m home throughout the day and care for my own dog. I maintain a consistent schedule with outings every 4 hours, along with regular feeding, walks, and playtime. Because I’m home most of the day, dogs receive plenty of attention and are rarely left alone for long periods. I’m also flexible and can adjust routines to meet each dog’s specific needs, whether that’s more frequent breaks, extra exercise, or a slower pace. I live in an apartment complex with two dog parks and plenty of space for walks. I treat every dog like my own and take the time to quickly learn their routine and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

About: I rescued my black lab 10 years ago on my own, and have groomed in and assisted in veterinary hospitals in the past. I grew up with a dog and cats and love most all animals. I used to be a veterinary assistant for a few years before covid, and I have good friends who work in veterinary medicine as doctors! I love to learn as much as I can in that field as well. I am fully available to care and love your animals- The sooner you book me for house sittings- all the better!! I will regularly take the animals outside, give them treats, cuddle on the couch together (if they’re allowed on furniture) and feed them as needed I am happy to provide as much care and service to you and your pets as often as you need it, and whenever I am physically able to be there to care for them for you! For house sittings, I give the the houses with fenced in backyards both your pets and myself to stay outdoors with one another for a longer period of time in a safer environment to get to know one another, especially during first time visits. I love to lounge around the house and get to know your fur babies, especially during my first few times of interacting with them, just to establish care and trust during this time.

About: I’m lucky enough to have an open schedule, which means your pet will get my full, undivided attention without being left alone for long stretches of time. I’ve taken care of a little bit of everything - dogs, cats, and even guinea pigs - so I’m really comfortable adapting to whatever unique routine your animal needs. My love playing with animals, chilling with them, and just watching them do what they do. One of my biggest strengths is working with pets who are on the shy or anxious side. I know how stressful it can be for them when their owners are away, so I’m incredibly patient. I know how to read their body language, give them the space they need, and just let them open up to me at their own pace until they feel completely safe. I am currently on summer break from college and take care of my own dogs at home. I make sure to give them everything they need from walks to play to just sitting around together. My main priority is keeping a constant eye on your pet and sticking as close to their normal routine as possible. Whether I'm staying at your place or visiting, your pet won't be left alone for long stretches, which really helps prevent separation anxiety. While I'm in a client's home, I will treat it with total respect and keep everything secure. I will make sure that all doors and gates are locked securely every time I leave your home, and I always keep dogs on a leash during walks. Because I have experience with everything from energetic dogs and cats to smaller pets like guinea pigs, I’m very aware of safety and choking hazards, like making sure small items or dangerous foods are out of reach.

About: Part time remote worker here who is able to give all the care and love your furry friends need while you're away. I’ve been caring for pets for over 15 years — everything from energetic puppies to wise senior dogs and curious kittens. I understand that every animal has its own personality and needs, and I take pride in adapting my care to each one. Insured and bonded for your pet's protection! For cats, I bring 13 years of first hand experience as a devoted cat mom, including caring for senior cats who need a little extra patience and love. I’m comfortable administering oral medication, monitoring appetite and hydration, and creating a calm environment that keeps pets feeling safe and loved. I’ve also worked with rescue animals and shy pets who need extra time to warm up. My calm, nurturing energy helps them build trust quickly. Whether it’s a long walk, gentle play, brushing sessions, or making sure litter boxes are fresh and spotless, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life — it’s not something I squeeze in, it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize. When I’m pet sitting, I make sure each visit gets my full attention. I build my days around your pet’s routine — whether that means early morning check-ins, midday playtime, or evening feedings and cuddles. I love the calm rhythm of spending time with animals and giving them consistent care and affection. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my focus is on maintaining their normal routine and creating a calm, comfortable environment. I follow each pet’s care plan closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and medication needs. Dogs enjoy plenty of exercise and positive attention, while cats receive patient care, a clean litter box, and affection at their own pace. I’m experienced in recognizing behavioral or appetite changes and responding with gentle attention and communication. Each visit includes fresh food and water, a tidy environment, and attentive care tailored to your pet’s personality. I also provide regular updates and photos, so you can travel with peace of mind knowing your pets are safe and well cared for.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of every breed, size, and energy level—from anxious rescues to giant goofballs. As a current volunteer at ACCT Philly, I work hands-on with all types of dogs daily, focusing on leash control, confidence-building, and reading body language. Friends and neighbors regularly trust me for overnight stays, multi-dog households, and high-energy pups because I stay calm, structured, and patient no matter what. I’m comfortable with puppy routines, senior care, and special diets, and I always make sure every dog gets the perfect mix of play, structure, and comfort. Whether it’s a jog around the block, a slow senior stroll, or bedtime snuggles—I tailor my care to your dog’s needs, not a one-size-fits-all plan. Pet care easily fits into my weekly routine. My schedule is flexible for walks, drop-ins, or overnights, and I make sure every pet gets consistent attention, playtime, and care. Whether it’s early mornings, lunch breaks, or evening cuddles, I’ll build my day around your pet’s routine. Safety and comfort always come first. In my home or yours, I make sure pets have a calm, clean, and secure space to relax and play. I follow each pet’s routine closely—feeding, walks, medications, and boundaries—so they feel right at home. I keep a close eye on body language and behavior to ensure they’re happy and stress-free, and I always send photo updates so you can see how well they’re doing. Whether it’s cats curling up for quiet time or dogs burning off energy, I create a safe, loving environment built on trust.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hampton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Hampton with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
