“Chloe had a blast with Emily! She gave me great updates the whole weekend. It was our first time leaving her at home while we are away and it was perfect! We will be using her again!”

About: For 8 years, neighbors, friends, and co-workers have relied on my dog-sitting, cat-sitting, and house-sitting services. I have worked with pets of all sizes, ages, and breeds. I don’t mind working with newly-trained pets, and I am especially skilled at finding creative ways to make sure older pets take their medicine! I have been an animal-lover at heart for my entire life, and I would jump at the opportunity to meet a new furry friend! I am currently working a full-time job in Reading, and I come home every day to our Bernadoodle, 2 cats, and our ferret! I take our dog on routine walks, and always ensure our cats and ferret are taken care of and have entertainment while I’m away. I will be sure to do the same for your furry friends as well! While pet sitting at a clients home, I will always go above and beyond what is asked of me. I will take care of feeding and walking, in addition to making sure that the pet’s energetic and social needs are met as well. I understand that leaving your pets, whether for a few hours or an entire week can be extremely stressful, so I try to ease that stress as much as possible by providing as many updates and pictures as I can!
“Tina is an amazing sitter! My dog absolutely adores her and her daughter. She is always punctual, communicative, respectful of my home, and cares for my dog like he’s one of her own. I look forward to the pictures she sends every day and can see how happy he is with her. I HIGHLY recommend her!”

“Dani did a great job caring for our dog. She was friendly, caring and patient and you can tell she genuinely loves animals. She delivered excellent service and was on time. She provided great updates for us while we were away. Highly recommend!”

About: I've owned and cared for pets of all sorts, as well as show and farm animals, since I was a small child. I love them all and they all usually love me, even the one's people say don't like men/people. I'm also big and boisterous, equating to perfect (but kind) dominance and control, as well as capabilities the average person might not be able to do, like separating dog fights or controlling unruly large animals. I'm currently self-employeed and can craft my schedule at will to fit any needs! Available for walks, sitting, overnight boarding, and pop in visits at all times. I have 3 dogs, 6 cats, and a frog. Large home and almost a half acre yard, fence coming soon. I am no stranger to all types of animals and animal care.
“Dane and Kayla were fantastic! They showed up promptly every morning at 6 AM to feed and care for our pups, which we deeply appreciated. Their communication was excellent throughout the entire visit. One morning, we had a bit of an issue with our Pomsky acting a little too aggressively, but Kayla reached out right away, explained the situation clearly, and worked with us to find a quick and effective solution. We felt our dogs were in great hands the whole time. We definitely hope to use their amazing service again in the future.”

“My pets were happy and my house was still clean and tidy when I came home. Mark was very accommodating and flexible with his schedule. He also stepped in pretty late in the game before my vacation after my previous dog sitter canceled. Thanks for taking care of my babies :)”

I have a certificate from Animal Behavior College in basic dog training and care, along with experience working with shelter dogs. I look forward to caring for your pet. I would love to be able to care for pets full time. I am currently available for scheduled dog walks and/or dog/cat drop-ins most times during the week and on weekends. I promise to treat your pet with the utmost care and respect with safety as a top priority. Feel free to speak with me about any of your concerns.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I’ve trained my herding dogs to be trusted off leash on trails. I’ve helped my parents with training their two herding dogs to leave it, come, off, down and fetch. I advocate for whatever dogs I’m looking after or walking to make sure they are as comfortable as they can be. I’m currently in hand therapy due to a car accident and unable to work due to restrictions. I’m able to take care of dogs Monday-Friday. I have a fenced in yard that I will let my pups out into. We go on daily walks to ensure that their needs are taken care of.
“Emma was AMAZING! Our cats loved her. She was quick to respond, punctual, always updating us and made sure our kitties were loved and taken care of. 10/10 would recommend and will be booking her again in the future.”

About: I worked at a kennel for a year but I've had dogs all my life. There's never been a year I haven't had a dog. I have three dogs of my own currently so I take care of them almost every day. I also play and cuddle them every day and give them all the love they deserve. I have three dogs of my own currently so I take care of them almost every day. “Paul was wonderful! We were looking for a pet sitter last minute and he came through. Followed our instructions perfectly and sent updates including photos and videos with every drop-in visit. I could tell from the videos that my cat loved having him around. Thank you, Paul!”

About: hiiiii! I’m Alex!! I am an energetic, compassionate, extremely outgoing dog Dad of two even more energetic pups. I enjoy every moment I spend with my boys and all other animals. I come for their little cuddly little bodies and stick around for their individual personalities. Lastly, I have yet to meet a dog that can out walk me… do you have a high energy pup that would be a good match?? I currently work during the day… I am looking to spend my evenings getting my energy out by walking your dogs. About: I’ve taken care of pets for family & friends over the years, and I’m looking to pet-sit/house-sit more often by using Rover! I have experience with dogs and cats. I mostly stay in the home while the owner is away to maintain stability for the pet, while owners are away on trips. I love spending time with animals and snapping funny or cute photos of them to share with their owners while they’re away! I’ll take good care of your fur-baby and show them lots of love! You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
