“Dani was amazing! I was apprehensive (first time using Rover), but I’m so glad I did. She was professional and courteous, took great care of my dogs, and was pleasant to work with. She went above and beyond in all aspects, I highly recommend!!!”

About: I’m a NICU nurse looking to turn my love for animals into something I can do on the side. While this is my first time offering pet-sitting services professionally, I have years of experience caring for animals and am very comfortable with both cats and dogs. I currently have four cats of my own, but my family has many dogs I deeply love. I’m used to volunteer at PETS until I had my son, because helping animals is something I’m truly passionate about. As a NICU nurse, I’m patient, responsible, attentive, and detail-oriented. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I would treat your cat/dog with the same love and care I give my own. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, or just some extra company while you’re away, I’d love the opportunity to help! I work three 12-hour shifts per week as a NICU nurse, and my schedule varies, but this gives me flexibility on my days off to spend time caring for your pets! My husband is also involved and helps provide flexibility with our schedule. I can coordinate my availability around your pet’s needs and am happy to communicate ahead of time to make sure we find a schedule that works for everyone. I understand how important consistency and reliable care are for your pets, and I want to make sure they receive plenty of love and attention while you’re away! I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved, especially when their owners are away! I have four cats of my own and have grown up around dogs and other animals, so I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs with different personalities and needs. When caring for pets in their own homes, I will follow their usual routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, fresh water, walks, litter box cleaning, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. I understand that pets are most comfortable in familiar surroundings, and I want to make their time away from their owners as stress-free as possible. As a NICU nurse, I’m patient, attentive, responsible, and detail-oriented. I will take the time to understand your pet’s individual needs and follow any specific instructions you provide. I also know how important communication is, so I’m happy to send updates and pictures to give you peace of mind while you’re away!

I have over 5 years experience in both kennel work and pet sitting/care as well as pet grooming. I am able to administer medications and care for pets with all kinds of needs. I welcome all pets from young to old, small to big. They are family and I will treat them as such because it’s what they deserve! I am available 7 days a week between 8am-8pm for walking and drop in visits! I also offer pet sitting in clients’ homes. I am currently a stay at home fur mom and will have plenty of time on my hands to care for your precious babies! Depending on what your precious pup needs I am able to provide many services. I am able to walk, feed, play with, and administer medications to pets of all kind. If boarding I will need specific care instructions of pets require medications of special routines as I want to make sure that your furry family members are able to keep their usual routine while everyone is away. I strive to create a good bond with my clients and make them as comfortable as possible. This includes both pets and pet parents!
About: I’ve taken care of lots of animals including dogs for over 13 years! In addition to caring for my own animals, I have been relied on by others to care for their pets as well. I consistently work on training with both my dog and cat. Currently, my dog Nani is learning to search for edible mushrooms on our hikes! I work remotely and make my own schedule so I have lots of flexibility/availability throughout the week! My work allows me to take time during the day to go on walks or to work on training/socializing as needed. I have my own friendly dog and cat who are very active. We go on lots of walks and play throughout the day. My focus is creating healthy stimulation and activities for our pets.
About: Had pets my whole life. I walk all the time and know where to take them and have an SUV with enough room to fit them in. Have 2 children who adore all animals. I have a full time job, Tuesday through Saturday, but I’m usually home around 2-4 pm. I’m available every evening and can stop to let them out during the day because of my job flexibility. I love both ends of the spectrum. I love being active and taking dogs for walk/runs. I also love relaxing and cuddling with them and getting to know what their preferences. Will follow all strict diet rules and keep a very clean house to avoid unwanted eating restrictions.

About: I've taken care of young and old dogs. I've watched family pets for years and have spent a lot of care on specialized research around animals to ensure I give them the best care I can. I love to play with them, never get bored of watching them and ass I started I pay a lot of attention to detail. I can pick up on all those little details in dogs that many sitters will miss. You could not leave your dog with a safer host. I have a very flexible and open schedule right now. I am willing to work whenever and can plan around caring for your pet. It will be my number one priority. I have an apartment that is free of pets right now so I have the space give your pet some extra room without disruption while they stay with me
About: I do not have any professional pet experience but I have owned pets my whole life which have included dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, parakeets, leopard geckos, rabbits and fish lol. I just have a big heart for animals. Dogs and catsare my favorite but I can have a connection with any animal. I am not doing this for the money. That is a plus. I will treat your pet with the utmost kindness and respect. I look forward to meeeting you and your furry friend soon. :) I am available Monday and Wednesdays after 3, anytime on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons. About: I have loved animals my entire life. At 8 years old, I got my first kitten and have been caring for animals of all kinds since then. I've even successfully hatched praying mantises! I have handled special needs animals, including cancer patients, and I am a quick learner. Happy to administer meds and do basic grooming as well (brushing, nail trims) if your animal is cooperative. I love cats, dogs, bunnies, and reptiles and am open to sitting for most any creature. As an entrepreneur, I am super flexible, so I can almost always work with your scheduling needs unless I'm traveling for an event. I can even make multiple visits per day or do overnight pet/house sitting. I am an avid cuddler and will be your pet's ultimate companion while you're gone. I am highly empathic and am currently studying feline reflexology. Your animal's comfort and serenity are as much of a top priority to me as their physical needs. I will love your baby as much as you do and will do my absolute best to keep them happy and safe for you. After all, animals are family. 🫶🏼

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
