About: Hi, I'm Emily and I've been caring for dogs, horses & livestock for over 15 years around the Northern Berks and Lebanon County areas. I grew up around Australian Heelers helping with birthing mothers and puppies. I currently own a Toy Fox Terrier/Toy Aussie Shepherd mix named "Ranger". I've worked for several horse farms in the area including Mountain Spring Arena in Shartelsville and Maple Crest Sport Horses in Myerstown since I was 16. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe, ride and muck stalls for their pets both large and small. References available! I can take your beloved pet (family member) on a nice walk around your neighborhood or to the groomer. Does your dog have a favorite toy? We can play with that too!! If you're only looking for someone to come into the home to feed/potty your dog 1-3 times daily, I do that too. Please contact me with any questions! I'm a traveling in-home caregiver for Northern Berks and Lebanon county; hence, I have a very flexible schedule. This allows me to fit in drop-in and dog walking visits between my clients. Safety and Environment will vary depending on which service the owner is requesting. Safety is #1 no matter the situation! Drop-in visits: the dog is in his/her familiar yard. Owner will have to specify how the dog best goes out during meet and greet. Walks: For multiple dogs, owner needs to also specify if dog(s) walk nicely and can be taken out together.

Zachary was great with my dogs! They’re both around 70 pounds and can be a little crazy but he was calm and confident and I felt super comfortable with them going on walks with him. They’ve been needing some time apart and some interaction with other people and I’m so glad I found Zachary because he’s perfect for them!

About: I am a certified vet assistant and have cared for 10+ animals in adult lifetime including friends and family. I’ve cared for a dog with severe epilepsy, and a dog with bone cancer. I also care for two senior dogs now along with training a new puppy. I walk my young lab puppy everyday for at least a mile and also play ball in the yard. Also my two senior dogs get very short walks to keep them active. I am a stay at home mom and have a very flexible schedule to walk dogs and care for them. I’m experienced in giving medicine and know how important sticking to a schedule is.

Whether that’s extra long walks, cuddles for hours in the evenings, or playing outside till the sun goes down, I want your pet to feel safe while their favorite human is away.

About: I’ve taken care of lots of animals including dogs for over 13 years! In addition to caring for my own animals, I have been relied on by others to care for their pets as well. I consistently work on training with both my dog and cat. Currently, my dog Nani is learning to search for edible mushrooms on our hikes! I work remotely and make my own schedule so I have lots of flexibility/availability throughout the week! My work allows me to take time during the day to go on walks or to work on training/socializing as needed. I have my own friendly dog and cat who are very active. We go on lots of walks and play throughout the day. My focus is creating healthy stimulation and activities for our pets.

About: I am an animal lover by nature! If you're looking for exceptional care for your pets I can provide above and beyond. I volunteer at a wildlife refuge and have handled and cared for domestic animals as well as wild ones (possums, squirrels, birds of prey, etc). Because I work from home, I can be present with your furry loved one and provide them with a lot of attention throughout the day. We have one 13 yr old, mild-tempered dog who gets along with other animals. I also can be flexible and watch your dogs on short notice. If you are in need of either daycare, boarding or dog walking your pets will be in great hands. Caring for animals is a committed passion I possess and I hope to do more and more to help and contribute to animal needs in this community. I look forward to hearing from you! I am available on weekdays after 3:30pm and on weekends. For house sitting, I can care for your pet in my home during the day and night. I walk my dog at least 4 times per day and they are free-roaming throughout the house (not caged). I treat all animals as if they were my own.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I’ve trained my herding dogs to be trusted off leash on trails. I’ve helped my parents with training their two herding dogs to leave it, come, off, down and fetch. I advocate for whatever dogs I’m looking after or walking to make sure they are as comfortable as they can be. I’m currently in hand therapy due to a car accident and unable to work due to restrictions. I’m able to take care of dogs Monday-Friday. I have a fenced in yard that I will let my pups out into. We go on daily walks to ensure that their needs are taken care of.

Past experience with puppies to older dogs including chihuahuas, doodles, labs, pitbulls, bulldogs, german shepherds, boxers, retrievers, great danes, etc! About: I have grown up my whole life with animals. From little critters in cages to many dogs and cats. As a animal lover, I strive to give every animal the best life they can have. I take pride in teaching my own children and others just how special animals are and how to treat them with respect, tenderness, and correctly. We are a small family with 3 children, 5,6, and 17. I work part time night and spend most days around the house. My husband is currently a stay at home dad and spends his days at home as well. All of our children are in school so our house is empty and quiet for a good part of the day. We do not have a fenced in yard so leashes are required, but we do have a gated porch for extra security for sneaky ones. We do have 2 dogs and a cat. Both dogs are in their maturing years and spends most days and night sleeping somewhere. They are friendly and love meeting new friends, but we do have gates through the house if needed, as well as crates. Our cat is friendly but quite antisocial, and is unseen most days. We do have children, but all have been taught since a young age how to be kind and careful with animals. They have learned to respect boundaries as not all animals are the same.

About: I was working in a Dog daycare for 5 years before I started my own business. In that time I also received my dog training certificate. I have worked with puppies all the way up to senior dogs in my time working with animals. Pet care is my full time job. All I need are the days you're looking for and I can add you onto my schedule. I also offer limited services on the weekends I travel to my clients for the services requested. Depending on the set up of the clients house determines how I go about looking after the animal. I always request that vet information be readily available just incase anything happens and I generally like to meet the animal first to make sure they are comfortable with me before I commit to working with them.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 1,408 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Hamlin. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Hamlin. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Hamlin.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hamlin. On Rover:

  • 97% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
