About: I took a very active role in caring for my family dog until he tragically passed from cancer in 2019. I have also dog-sat for neighbors’ pets with particular dietary needs. Currently, I’ve been told by roommates that I have a very calming presence with our house dog. I work part time primarily in the evenings and when not working, I often have community theater rehearsals on weeknights. During the Mizzou school year I will have some classes during the day, though for no more than a few hours at a time. My current house is not available for pet boarding unless specifically negotiated. The property has a non-fenced yard and one resident dog, who does behave well with other animals. Neighborhood is safe, well-paved, and walkable.
“Ellie was super kind and helpful! She was very quick to understand everything needed to take care of my cat tooni :) She sent many pictures/amazing updates and was very quick to respond so I never worried about anything. Tooni’s usually shy but she seemed to open up to her right away! She also helped me out with some additional things I asked about while I was away. She’s super cool, book herrr ☺️”

“Adri did a great job watching our cat. They sent pictures and updates so we knew the cat was being taken care of dependably. I would be happy to hire Adri again in the future.”

“Thank you Mary for giving the hubby and I a weekend of fun without having to worry. You went above and beyond to make sure our bunch and our home was safe and taken care of. Look out for that re-booking, we are planning more trips. Now that we know who we can count on 🥰”

“Morgan was an absolute star when it came to taking care of my senior cat with a variety of health issues that required daily medication. She was patient, loving, kind and most importantly was reliable in my absence. Really appreciated her being able to provide daily updates during drop ins! Can’t recommend her enough and will be rebooking her in the future for sure!”

“Hailea was great! She communicated regularly about my kitties and sent great photos. When I got home, they seemed well taken care of and happy. I will be booking with Hailea again!”

“Caitlyn is fantastic! I have a very shy “scaredy cat” and let Caitlyn know she may not see him at all during her drop ins. Mid way through the week, she had him coming to greet her and playing with her!”

About: I have several years of hands-on pet care experience from family and friends with dogs and cats. I’ve provided daily walks, multiple feedings, grooming, and basic training for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I’m comfortable with senior pets and those requiring medication, and I’ve also cared for anxious or high-energy dogs with patience and consistency. In addition, I’ve done overnight stays, ensuring pets maintain their routine in a stress-free environment. I genuinely love animals and treat every pet as if they were my own, always focused on their comfort, safety, and happiness. I work from home during normal business hours with leniency in needing to step away during the day. Also willing to work from the pets home if WiFi is available! I tend to stay pretty flexible. Either way, they’ll be treated like my own pet which is very heavy on the cuddles, kisses and treats. My pup, Roxie, loves being outside- so if your dog loves it outside also then that’s where we’ll be! If they like to be a couch potato, that’s my spirit animal and I’ll make sure they’re all comfy and well veg it out together! Currently in my home there are 2 other pups also that are very friendly and 2 other people that also love animals! I do not have the set up for cats, as I don’t currently have my own but have had cats in the past and can also care for them. Familiar with litter boxes and giving medication to cats, also.
“Taylor was amazing, as usual - not only with my older dog who she has cared for before, but a brand new to our home puppy. Taylor was a great communicator, prompt to each and every visit, stayed the allotted time engaging with the dogs (even the cats made their way into a couple of pictures,) she sent many pictures, and even cleaned up a few puppy accidents. Thank you Taylor, it's nice to have someone you can trust with your furbabies (and your home).”

“Ali was awesome. She set up a meet and greet for our dog Mia. Mia liked her right away. Ali was very detailed and provided updates and pictures of drop ins each time. Highly recommend Ali. She is very dependable.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hallsville. On Rover:

- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
