“Lauren did an awesome job caring for our pup! She was very attentive to her needs and was very trustworthy staying in our home. I would definitely recommend her and hope to use her services again in the future!”

About: Mom of 2 hooomans (13&17I also have a Pomeranian, Mika. If you want your pet to be spoiled, you’ve come to the right place, lol. I work part time so I’m pretty flexible right now. I’m looking to add some work to my schedule doing something I love & enjoy! If you’re boarding your pet with me in my home, a crate will need to be provided for short periods of time if I need to step out and can’t bring them with me! I secure each dog on a leash when taking them outside on walks or to potty. Unless you have a fenced yard. I support treats, (:
“Truly the best! We are actually able to enjoy vacation knowing our boys are well cared for and spoiled with love and attention! Kari sends plenty of pictures and updates!”

About: I have been a regular pet sitter for friends, family, and coworkers since I was a teenager. I have experience with large or small dogs, elderly dogs, cats, and pets that need medication or other accommodations. I have experience with dog-sitting for up to two weeks at a time. This has sometimes included, but is not limited to, administering medication, cleaning up messes inside and outside, walking, feeding, and bathing. Ensuring the safety, health, and happiness of each pet I take care of is my top priority and it is one of my favorite things to do in the world! I do not have the same schedule weekly, so I will constantly update my availability. I only know my availability up to 3 weeks in advance. Unless I have to work very early the next day, I am available for overnights at least 3 days a week (typically). I am unable to have pets at my house because I live with a family member’s dog that does not do well with other animals. Please give me any and all instructions! I will make sure to follow any routine that I can for your pet to be comfortable. I will provide as many updates/photos as requested.
“Hannah has been great to watch our dog multiple times when we are out of town. She is reliable with good communication throughout the stay. We will continue to reach out to her!”

“Abbey house sat for our lab mix Finn for 6 days on pretty short notice. Finn is a very anxious dog when meeting new people and Abby was quickly able to get his trust. She was very responsive and everything went very well.”

“Ally has been an absolute dream to our family! She loves our pups so much and always makes sure I get updates on how they're doing. She leaves the house exactly as we left it when she leaves and is always so sweet and kind. We love Ally!”

“Ashlee was great with our 2 goldendoodles. She showed up early, gave our dogs plenty of loving and left our house as she found it. Our dogs were sad to see her go and would 100% recommend her!”

About: Aside from caring for my own animals, I have dog and cat sat for friends and family in the past. I'm a huge animal advocate and lover, so much so that I am a vegetarian and have issues with the way animals are treated from slaughter houses, to puppy mills. Animals are truly my best friends and I can't think of anything I would enjoy more than taking care of others and the bonus is getting paid for it. I have had pets since I was small and taking care of animals brings me a lot of joy and comfort in my life and its what I prefer. What better way to make money than by doing what you love most. I enjoy walking daily so bring a special little fur buddy along would be a huge plus. I’m dog sitting full time on most days. Have retired and am now doing what I enjoy the most. Please contact me anytime day or night. Your pet is very safe in my home. Fenced in back yard and dog friendly inside through and through. My dogs are older and get along with all dogs.
“I love that Aimee came for a very thorough "meet n greet". Aimee was wonderful with our two dogs. They warmed up to her immediately. She always got back to me as soon as I texted her. Thank you Aimee for allowing me to feel as ease right away with leaving our babies. Overall positive experience. Thank you.”

“Lucy was AMAZING. I have had some not very good experiences on rover so I was already a little nervous leaving my (very needy) pup with someone but he loved her right away, he usually takes forever to warm up to people so this was a HUGE surprise/plus. She sent me so many pictures and updates every day to ensure me he was in good hands! He had so much fun playing with Lucy and she never got tired of his endless love for fetch :) Lucy will be the only person I use for my pet sitting needs going forward! I highly highly recommend as this was the best experience I have had with someone watching my pup!”

“Kelly was the perfect choice for housesitting my pets. She had her hands full and graciously attended to each pet and their certain needs. My oldest pup had a little separation depression and wasn’t eating a lot so she made her some chicken and hand fed her some nuggets and gave her extra assurance to make her feel okay! I would highly recommend this sitter! She took great care of my pets and my house!”

“Chris is a great sitter! He stayed with my young dog several times this summer and each time I came home to a happy pup. I know I can trust Chris to take good care of my dog and home.”

“Brooke, once again, did a great job. Even getting a couple inches of snow, was not a challenge for our 5 lb Scarlett. Brooke just cleared an area in the backyard so she could do her business. Already have our next trip booked.”

“I am so grateful we found Kristen! She was reliable, professional, and cared for our dog Bella like her own. She is so sweet and thoughtful. Kristen is a great communicator. I would definitely recommend her to anyone and would absolutely use her services again in the future.”

“Lorrie was absolutely amazing with our 2 energetic dogs and kitty while we were away. She is kind, gentle, patient and communicative- we received many photos and updates to give us peace of mind that our babies were well-cared for.”

About: I am Happy and Joyful always and dogs deserve the happiest day as possible! They are the sweetest creatures on planet earth. It’s my pleasure to be there for them! I am the mom of two dogs and I’m currently a student online so I have availability all throughout the day seven days a week! My pets are allowed on the furniture, and they have dog beds and clean water bowls. They get homemade meals, we go on tons of walks in the summertime. They get new toys and fresh femur bones, biweekly and they are not just our pets. They are our family members.

About: Hey, my name is Bailey and I love working with animals. I grew up on a farm with horses, goats, chickens, but most importantly cats and dogs. When I was a kid my grandparents bred puppies and I would help take care of them. Moving forward anytime someone needed help feeding and walking their dogs I volunteered. I have dog sat many times and had dogs come to my house a few times as well. I have one dog myself, a pit mix named Goofy. I work part-time and am off on Mondays and Wednesdays. I start work at 8am almost everyday and get off at either 1pm or 2pm except Sundays when I get off at 3:30. I'm available for overnight stays and can walk and feed your pet both before and after work. I consider myself very active and will be happy to take your dogs on plenty of walks. I can walk around your neighborhood or take a quick trip to a nearby park. I love playing with dogs and cats, especially laser and fetch. I love fetch. I have a special needs cat and I make my own food and treats for my dog so if your animal has any dietary or medical requirements I will happily rise to the occasion.
About: I grew up on a farm and have been around pets my entire life. Recently volunteered at a wildlife rescue sanctuary in Costa Rica full time for a month. Worked at several other sanctuaries and the Hamilton County Humane Society. Love all animals. Respect all living things:-) I’m self-employed and work mostly from home. I enjoy taking several walks a day so why not take the walks with a dog or cat:-) Pretty flexible lifestyle overall. I Have two of my neighbor's cats that visit me often so all dogs i board must be Cat friendly. I only board dogs from one family at a time for safety. Full attention on your pet. Fenced in yard and happy to let the dog sleep on the bed if that’s what they are used to. Also, dogs are welcome on the furniture.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,067 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Gwynneville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Gwynneville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Gwynneville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Gwynneville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
