I do want you to know that if your dog likes to go on a lot of walks, I’m unfortunately not the sitter for you. I have a mobility disability. I am happy to play with your dog with their toys or supervise them as they run around your yard, but I am not able to take them on walks to get their energy out. But if you have a puppy that likes to “wrassle” or rough-house a little, that I’m happy to do! I’m a work-from-home (or wherever there’s internet) attorney. I may need to leave for like half the day to attend a hearing or a mediation. But besides that, I can’t think of any foreseeable reason I’d have to leave your pet alone for more than six hours. I am very willing to take things slow and work at your pet’s pace. I do not have any specialized training, but I have worked with dogs and cats with past trauma. I have laid on the ground for three hours just to show a dog I’m not a threat and they can approach me. And she eventually did, and the rest of the week went great. I am also willing to visit your house, possibly multiple times, to meet your pet and allow them to get comfortable with me before your travel.
