About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities. Friends, neighbors, and family members have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets while they’re away. I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, giving lots of attention and exercise, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. As a college student, I’m responsible, organized, and dependable. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing outside, or simply having company, I’m committed to providing attentive and loving care. I am currently enrolled in school part-time and attend classes from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Tuesday through Thursday. Outside of those hours, I have a flexible schedule and am available throughout the rest of the week.” Or, for a pet-sitting profile: “I currently attend school part-time from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Tuesdays through Thursdays. I am available before and after those hours, as well as throughout the remainder of the week, allowing me to provide flexible and reliable pet care. I prioritize the safety and well-being of every pet in my care. During walks and visits, I follow your pet’s routine, provide plenty of attention and exercise, and ensure they are always secure and comfortable. I am attentive to each pet’s individual needs and will follow any special instructions regarding feeding, medications, or behavior. My goal is to provide reliable, trustworthy care and give pet owners peace of mind while they are away.
“Christina is amazing! We have a super anxious chihuahua mix and a blind senior dog with tummy issues. We typically board them when we travel. Neither of them have ever been left at home alone more than a day. Christina watched them for 3 days and kept us informed of their activities the entire time. She was patient and kind and won our two pups over in no time. They were calm and relaxed when we got home. They clearly were comfortable with Christina. She took such great and attentive care with them. She is such a blessing. I enthusiastically recommend Christina!”

“Sheri was wonderful, sent great pictures and videos of Cricket. Very dependable and prompt. She took excellent care of my special needs fur baby. I will definitely be using Sheri again. It was so great to be gone for a week and not worry ♥️♥️”

About: Pets have been a cherished part of my life for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I've always considered them true family members. The love they give to you, and being such loyal companions who deserve the same care, respect, and devotion we give to our own children. Throughout the years, I've taken full responsibility for their well-being, from feeding them on schedule, ensuring they get plenty of exercise and outdoor time, providing comfort when needed, and always prioritizing their happiness and health. I would and have gone to great lengths to ensure their safety and joy, treating them with the unconditional love they so freely give in return. I recently left my full-time job to pursue my families dream of owning and operating our own business, which we have now actually started together. With this significant life transition, I am seeking a flexible side opportunity that can generate additional income while aligning with helping those in need, all while getting to work with animals, especially dogs! When I discovered this app, it felt like the ideal combination, connecting with pet owners who require assistance with dog walking, playtime, check-ins, or basic care. It perfectly merges meaningful work, while providing companionship and support to animals. This opportunity fits perfectly with my values and allows me to make a positive difference in the lives of both pets and their owners. I am excited about the potential and eager to get started! Treating them with the care and respect they deserve, all while giving them the attention they want! I love being with them as much as they love being with us!
“I feel very grateful for all of Milton's support. He is a great person. I went on vacation and my cat Orion was in excellent hands. An exceptional job. I would definitely choose him again.”

About: I've had dogs since I was 8 years old. I've always had a big heart, so I took the role of main caregiver for my pups and my kitty; I walked, fed, and cleaned them which continued into my adulthood as I've been a committed carer for friends' dogs. For a short time (4 months), I moved to Mexico and was a live-in dog carer for two puppies: a Yorkie and Bichon Frise! I also became dual carer for my partner's three dogs of varying ages and we rescued and raised a beautify cat together. I also know what it means to lose your beloved pal as I've had experience with caring for aging doggies and sitting with them as they passed over the doggy rainbow. I currently work full-time with special needs kids from 8-5 daily. I'm available for drop-ins after work, overnight stays and I have full weekend availability! I am available for walks and stays at your home. My care for your home will reflect the deep care I have for your pet. I would love know what you freel comfortable with in your home and integrate your needs as I make sure your pet(s) are well cared for!
About: My love for animals has given me experience in pet sitting with cats and dogs. I had two childhood dogs that taught me everything I know about pet care. Before my neighbor moved away, I would drop by her house after school to check on her cat while she was at work. As I got older, my mom would recommend me to her clients from her cleaning service when asked if she knew any pet-sitters who could watch their dogs or cats for a couple of hours, weekends, or on holidays. And while in college, I pet-sat and walked my roommates' dogs whenever they needed it. My experience as a pet sitter ensures that your beloved family member will be safe and content while in my care. I am available for full-time house sitting any day of the week or drop-in visits/walks Monday through Friday from 11 am to 6:30 pm. But I am willing to accommodate earlier or later times. I will follow your pet's schedule to the second to ensure they are happy and healthy while in my care. If anything happens or I have questions, I will contact you immediately.
“We LOVED Keliann and have already booked her for a second time. She did drop in visits for our two Great Danes. They loved her and we got photos of our boys every day. This is our first time using Rover and we are very satisfied with it and with Keliann. Five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: I have been around dogs and cats since I was born! Love animals and always have. If I could have any dog in the world it would be a Saint Bernard. They are just so big and huge, but for now I have a cute little mutt who is 13 and still energetic and healthy! I’ve had dogs jump on me, so I can handle big dogs. I’m currently working part-time at church and looking for full time ministry! In the meantime ~ I wanted to earn some extra money, to help with student loans and food. Rover has been recommended to me and I can’t wait to join in all the pet sitting fun!! I have a fenced yard that is a pretty good size for running around! My house is a little small inside, but it’s like a cute cottage. We keep our air conditioning cool and there’s comfortable spots for your pet to lay/sit on! We keep our house clean and picked up. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Guy. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
