“Rebecca is a God send! We are out of state for an extended time and she has been reliable and you can tell how much she genuinely loves animals! We live in Maine and had an extended deep freeze and she helped us trouble shoot a frozen pipe issue! Talk about flexibility! If you hire her, you will not disappointed!”

“Katie was a wonderful sitter and would highly recommend her services. We will definitely be using her for future sitting! One of our kitties is getting older, so we appreciated her knowledge and enthusiasm in caring for and doting on them. She left things neat, tidy, and we came home to two very content cats!”

“We had Matt do a couple drop-ins over NYE for our dog Ruby, everything went smoothly. We were provided updates and he was very attentive of Ruby's needs. During the meet and greet you could tell he was comfortable with dogs and Ruby liked him. Would recommend.”

“Richard was excellent, he responded to our communication quickly and sent us daily pictures. We felt that our cats were in good hands while we were away, and when we came home everything was as it should be. I would highly recommend Richard to watch over your pets!”

“Krista has been amazing with our pets. She is always transparent and sends so many pictures of the animals. She leave detailed rover cards and always tell us about any concerns they may have. I have already booked them again. It is so nice to have someone who I can really trust to take care of my animals when I can't be there.”

“Breanna is a life saver. We lost a sitter last minute and had to scramble, and she was there the next day for the meet & greet, prepared and taking notes and asking good questions. The Boys took to her immediately - she even got the shy one out on her 3rd visit. Good communication, great photos. Booking again right away!”

About: Animals have always been at the center of my life — dogs, cats, parrots, pigs, you name it! I’ve been surrounded by animals since I was little, and caring for them has always come naturally. I have over 5 years of professional experience working hands-on with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Right now, I work at a doggie daycare, where I spend my days making sure every pup is happy, exercised, and socialized safely. Before that, I worked for a breeder, helping care for puppies and adult dogs, learning about behavior, health, and early training. I’ve built a strong understanding of how to handle everything from shy rescues to high-energy working breeds — with patience, structure, and love. At home, I have a sweet black lab named Lily, who’s truly my best friend and constant reminder of why I do what I do. She’s taught me so much about communication, routine, and unconditional love — lessons I bring to every pet I care for. What sets me apart from other sitters is how deeply I care — every pet I meet instantly becomes my baby. I don’t just “watch” animals; I connect with them. Because of my daycare and breeder background, I understand both the fun and responsibility that come with pet care. I notice the little things — changes in mood, appetite, or body language — and I always prioritize comfort and safety. I’m not afraid to get on the floor and play, take long walks in any weather, or just sit quietly with a nervous pup until they relax. My whole lifestyle revolves around animals, and it shows in the care I provide. Whether it’s your dog, cat, or something a little more unique, I’ll treat them with the same love and respect I give my own Lily. Monday–Friday: I work 6:45 AM–12 PM and 2:45 PM–6 PM. I’m available for midday drop-ins and walks between 12:30PM–2:00 PM, and again after 6:30 PM for dinner walks, evening visits, or overnight house sitting. I can also accommodate early-morning visits before 6:00AM if your pup likes to start the day early! Saturday–Sunday: I work 7:45–10 AM and 2:45–5 PM, so I’m available 10:30AM–2:00PM and after 5:30PM for weekend walks, drop-ins, or house sitting. Normally I have the day off Sunday and the mornings off Monday and Wednesday! When I’m caring for pets in your home, I treat them just like one of my own. Every pet I meet instantly becomes my baby while they’re in my care — I give them the same love, attention, and structure I give to the dogs I work with every day at the daycare. I make sure their routine stays consistent, from walks and meals to playtime and cuddles. I’m big on communication, so I’ll keep you updated with photos, notes, and little details about how they’re doing while you’re away. Whether your pet loves belly rubs, long walks, or quiet couch time, I’ll match their energy and make them feel safe, loved, and completely at home. At this time, I’m not offering boarding in my home, as one of my dogs is uncomfortable around unfamiliar animals. Her well-being—and the comfort of your pet—are both very important to me. I’m more than happy to provide drop-ins, walks, or care in your home to ensure a safe and stress-free experience for everyone!

About: I have taken care of various different fur babies my whole life. From my grandma’s elderly diabetic cat, to many little baby kittens. Making animals feel safe and cared for makes me feel so fulfilled. I also have been bathing and doing regular grooming since I was old enough to understand how to. I’ve taken in strays and helped regime them or reunite them. I also took in and nursed back to health a kitty that I witnessed get hit by a car. Some special skills that I possess would be I’m very patient loving person who has a very big heart when it comes to animals and I can’t wait to have a future caring for them. I work part-time and do an online education program I’m pretty much free for the rest of day. Currently working on getting my license so I can be more reliable with transportation to get there. I will respect your home and take care of your fur Babies in the comfort of their home listening to anything you ask of me. while we wait for your arrival
“Jackie was great. She came back for an extra visit to be sure our pup had another chance to go to the bathroom. We'll definitely ask for her help next time we have to leave our pup at home.”
“Jennifer was great and my cats loved her! She sent pictures and videos daily! She was attentive to their needs and even though I’m an obsessed cat mom, she did everything I asked her to do and more! I would recommend Jennifer to anyone in need!”

Gave great updates and pictures on how our furry family were doing, and we definitely had peace of mind while we were away. I highly recommend Makaela for your pet sitting needs!”
“Ayesya looked after my two cats for two weeks. She went above and beyond making sure they had not only food and water but clean litter boxes and lots of cuddles! She reliably sent photo updates, was friendly and great at communicating. Would definitely recommend!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
